Well Bruce Christmas is only about 6 weeks away. How are things with the Vega? It sure brings back a lot of memories for me and interested in seeing any new pictures.

It sure makes you feel good to get results like that doesn't it? I love those reflection shots, they are absolutely what it is all about. Great job! Black is beautiful when it is clean and no swirl marks.

Great setup Les! I am just curious what is the difference you see between the new and Old Patriot wax? My G8 and 32 are both spoiled by the Old Patriot wax and I love it. I always get compliments on the shine of both cars. Opinions?

I am with Chris with the recommendation of doing trim before doing any polishing or sealing. I tried the dry method application on the trim using H2O on a buddies truck and it worked just as well as the VRT.

Yep I agree with Chris. Just did mine and after claying the glass and all purpose on fiberglass I did the sealant on the glass and even did the H2O G&G on the fiberglass. Man when I cleaned it out this morning after the shower it was a breeze. Everything was smooth and wiped down super easy. When your wife even notices and comments how easy it was to clean, you know you have done something right!

Keep filling us in Bruce. There are those of us lurking on here that don't post much but read all about things like your Vega project. As a former owner of 2 V-8 Vegas you definitely have my interest. You are doing it right unlike some of the ones that I have seen at some car shows here that are butchered. I always wish I could have one of mine back. The 327 was wild and the 215 was a real sleeper. Fun to see them brought back to life. I will be interested to see how you do the headers with side engine mounts. Like you said hurdles to overcome. Post lots of pictures.

Great to see you spoil your Dad! Appreciate every minute you have with him because I miss my Dad every day and he has been gone for 10 years.

I have always treated my clear bra on the G8 the same as the painted surfaces just watching the edges like mc2hill mentioned. It is 7 years old now and still looks great.

I also have had great success with letting it sit on the windshield for a long time and then cleaning it off with the glass cleaner. It seems to me the longer it sits on the windshield the longer protection I get. I left it on my sons Volvo truck windshield for 32 hours while we cleaned the truck and it cleaned up very nice and gave him some nice beading action and blew off well on his first trip.

I can't add anymore about removing the rubber once it is on the car, but I can tell you that my cousin reports that the Liquid Paint Sealant that I put on his car has really helped with the rubber not sticking to it. He used to have a terrible time with rubber on his running boards after his hard burnouts. Pound of prevention worth ...... just my 02 cents

All great advice. I saw years ago from a former great on this website a side by side comparison of correction polish with and without finish polish on a dark car. It was amazing to me how much better the side with finish polish looked on the dark color. Just another thing to try on your smaller area to determine your plan of attack.

I haven't gone to the lengths that Scott has verifying the longevity, but when I do cars, after I have clayed the windshield and paint the first thing that I do is put the sealant on the windshield. I then go about polishing and sealing/waxing the car including the other windows. The last thing I remove/clean is the sealant on the windshield. Thanks Scott for verification that I am doing something right! LOL

VERY NICE TRUCK! I also remember it at Columbus, but then again I am pretty partial to that red car in the background! LOL You did a great job on that truck and making it shine with Adams is the cherry on top. Congrats on a beautiful ride.

Lots of memories for this event! Even the first one at the little place with all of us around a smaller table and Adam entertaining us as usual. Remember the time we started in the front? I hope to catch up with everyone this year, but may be on a startup in PA. Maybe I can sneak away for the Saturday. I hope Al, the other Rich and Chris all come and we can catch up on things. I totally agree! I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ben at the Columbus Goodguys show last July. He has all the patience in the world. I could learn from him since my wife tells me that I have negative patience. LOL Ben is always willing to help anyone with questions.

I am really glad that Adam "forced" me to use the H2O on a wet car during the Goodguys in Columbus this summer. I bought a gallon not long after because I like it so much. So do members of my family now that I have done their vehicles too! LOL Great stuff and so easy to put on after you wash the car. It is time for another round on my wife's Encore for winter protection boost. I even put it on my DD my Buhog (2000 Buick) as I call it. Adam once again has me convinced now about another one of his products.

I would bet with that good coating and protection that soap and water is all you will need to clean those wheels.

Hi Bob Using the Metal Polish on only the part that you want to shine will work out great. I just did my cousin's race car wheels to show them how they could look. I did a quick job and they looked pretty nice. You should get black from the wheel right away, if you don't stop. Using soft microfiber is a necessity so you don't scratch the wheels! I love Adams metal polish because that is how I got hooked on his products because they didn't scratch my wheels. A little time spent will give you great returns.
