  1. Welcome Mark! I am jealous on two accounts, car and job....you will like this place.
  2. Kevin, is the gauge cluster above the center vents aftermarket? You gotta love the G8's especially when they are cleaned up and shining like this! I love mine!!!
  3. Always nice to welcome another Buckeye to the fold Marc. There are a number of us "Adams folks" in the Cleveland area. Are you east side or west? Lots of cool and experienced people on here so ask questions as you run into them. We have all been there when we started.
  4. G8 looks great Kevin. Man taking out the grille, side markers and hood pieces is getting really serious. Are they difficult to get out? I have thought about doing it in Spring when I bring mine out of storage, but I am afraid of breaking things or loosening them and they won't stay in tight.
  5. Craig you will be fine. There are different ways that people polish, but the product is one key ingredient. As all of us Adams folks know this is great stuff. Not sure if it was mentioned but don't skip claying the car. This will make a huge difference in how smooth the paint is before you start polishing. Take your time and as others have mentioned start with a 2x2 section and see if you can get it like you want. All of us have learned the tricks as we got experience. You didn't mention if you went with the new microfiber pads or the foam pads. There are different techniques and how much polish to use based on the pads. Watching the videos is a very good starting point for learning. Keep the pad flat and moving along. The most common mistake with the foam pads is using too much product and knowing when it flashes. You will be fine and with a little work you will make yourself very happy with the finished product. Congrats on the G8, I LOVE mine especially when I put the Cortex tune in it. It is a different car than the one that I took delivery of over 4.5 years ago. I love it when the tires squawk when it shifts into second gear with half throttle! Even Adam got a kick out of it. Best of luck and don't be afraid to ask questions. Lots of great people here with lots of experience.
  6. looks like the typical Adams party, a good time. Nice weather too!
  7. That is truly a labor of love. Looks great Bob. It is always cool to see how everyone personalizes their cars. Nothing like the Adams shine to finish it off!

  10. I agree with Matt. Do part of the side with the others and compare, you won't believe that they really bring out more shine. I have personally seen the affect of doing half of a panel without Fine and with it. You can see a line where you left off!
  11. Welcome Gary, this is a great place to learn about the products and lots of nice and knowledgeable people. I will be in the Outer Banks in Aug this year and anxious to see it. If you have any questions give me a PM and we could meet the week of Aug 12
  12. I bet that owner was very happy with your work Mook. I bet he even knows about Adams products, and loves to show off the result of such great work. I bet that Jeep is a beast with that engine. I bet the owner will really enjoy it looking good and of course putting the hammer down.
  13. Thank You Ken, Adam and Lynn for an amazing day. Ken the collection is beyond words! When you walk in the door and the first car you see is a Bugatti Veyron, you know you are in for a treat. I will only load a few pics since Lynn probably has a ton. It was like being a kid in a candy store for the first time. Unbelievable cars. Adam was his usual self in front of a crowd. It was a lot of fun just watching him answer all the questions and show everyone how it is done. If I could have only gotten the water turned on when he needed faster, oh well clinic jitters. LOL
  14. Congrats on joining the rest of us Chris! You definitely did the smart thing seeing Adam in action and learning first hand. I get the pleasure of seeing him at Lingenfelter this weekend and getting to see the car collection. I know you won't be disappointed with the products, your wallet will scream some, but your car will like it! Post some pics of your ride
  15. Looking forward to this Saturday! It's always special to see Adam and Lynn, but to combine with Lingenfelter collection, priceless!
  16. Welcome Nate! It's always nice to see another Buckeye join in on the fun with the forum.
  17. Rich Cars look great! All of us northerners are sure getting anxious to get the cars out. I am like you that we haven't had enough rain to wash the salt off of the road. I learned that lesson a few years ago when I took the 32 and came back with white powder covering all of the polished parts, YUCK. I did get the 32 fired up even though it is still on jack stands. Smells and sounds just gave me spring fever worse than ever. Come on Spring!
  18. While everyone mentions sealed plastic bags, I have seen the mistake of storing even a slightly damp pad or microfiber in a sealed plastic bag. NOT a good combination unless you like mold.
