  1. Best of Luck Matt! It is always interesting to go to shows, but you have the right attitude. It is for a good cause and that is the reason you are going. There are so many people that go only for a trophy and when they don't get it the complaining starts. It's just fun to have your vehicle looking great and when people compliment you then that is the real benefit to going. It's always fun too when people ask you how you got it so shiny to be able to Adamize them.
  2. Unbelievable machines Nick. I can't even imagine working on such exotic machines. Nice work indeed!
  3. Way to jump in with both feet Derek! I am sure that the forums and all of the great people on here professing how good Adams products are helped make that decision for you. I am sure you won't regret this decision at all, after you pay the credit card bill that is. LOL We all love the products and the customer service takes a back seat to nobody. Us northern people are all waiting for spring. Don't feel bad though because I had to drive to NC this past Sunday and drove through the snow storm and witnessed the rock slide on I77 in Virginia. It is cold and damp here too. Come on Spring! Best of luck with that collection of Adams stuff. Make sure we get some good pics of that Mustang
  4. My thanks also Randy. Pleasure dealing with you especially the price! LOL
  5. We have some pretty cool vehicles on this forum that are Adamized! Thanks Rich
  6. Way to suck it up for the Team Lynn. LOL I am sure you will have your choice of volunteers to "work" that show!
  7. Ashley just answered me online saying she is hoping in 2 weeks. I am also getting ready to polish ..... the 32 spring cleaning for when Ohio weather gets better or should I say IF.
  8. You will find out that you need to make sure that they are really wetted down. The polished aluminum will mark or scratch really easily. Even just pushing on a microfiber too hard will mark them. Sooner or later you will want to get the Metal Polish from Adams also. I do my wheels in early spring before I bring my 32 out for the summer. I really like the Brilliant Glaze and Americana for the shine, protection and easier cleaning especially when you get caught in the rain. The wheels look great on that SS!
  9. Thanks Jerry, it was quite an experience being in an indoor show. A lot different than the summer shows outside, but didn't have to worry about the weather for the three days. LOL It's a lot of work and you can see the tape over the post bases. Luckily it saved the car from the kids playing with the chains.
  10. Vincent I learned this lesson about shows the hard way years ago. I put my 32 into the indoor show here in Cleveland years ago. You had to have carpet and ropes. I watched the guy parked behind me tape down his HEAVY chromed stands and asked him why. His answer was that the kids loved to play with them and parents didn't make them respect the vehicles. He suggested that I really tape down my plastic cheap ones. I did as he suggested. On Sunday afternoon I watched a kid pull my chain so far that the pole went completely towards the floor and then the kid let it go. Luckily the tape held or the pole would have flown into the car. When I yelled at the kid, the father wanted to fight me. It is amazing how the parents don't teach respect to their kids. I blame the parents. I have had kids step up on my running boards at a show during the summer and the parents don't say a thing. I have to teach the parents respect for what we have invested in our cars. RANT over.
  11. Welcome John for East of Cleveland. We have a number of Buckeyes on the site. I am like Mike and looking forward to the day of escaping cloudy cold winters and head south. I think you will like all of the info that is on this site. Looking forward to spring already! Tom
  12. Great looking finished product. The thing that I wonder about is someone bringing in such a fine car in such terrible condition, does he get the difference after you take out all of those swirls? I am just disgusted when I see a car like that looking like it did in the before shots. Of course that's what keeps you in business, but what is their reaction when they see what it should look like?
  13. Yeah Adam that is quite a story about "trying to get a message", but really looking for the Mens room.
  14. Dave I wholeheartedly agree with you. I have gotten many compliments on my 32 at a show about how shiny it is and it got a coat of Brilliant Glaze the night before the show. Love the stuff for EXTRA shine.
  15. Having both a red and dark gray metallic, my BEST is when they are clean and gleaming with minimal swirls. I love reflection shots! I did my sons girlfriends car which was used and black. I have never done a black car and it had tons of swirls. I must admit even though it wasn't perfect, a black car clean and polished up does look fantastic. I love your red Camaro, looks great.
  16. Chris I am jealous as all hell. Overhaulin too! I would love that opportunity. Say Hi to Chip for me! Too bad a lot of the pics are blocked here at work, but I can see your shining face on your pics. I can only imagine being at Sema.....you couldn't wipe the smile off of my face.
  17. I agree with Chris that if you can do a lot of the work you can save some major dollars. I built my garage addition and it sure is nice to go out especially in the winter now and turn up the thermostat and be comfortable. My buddy has the heated floor and it is dynamite. Everyone has given you all of the things to think about so best of luck getting the features you want. I love my vaulted ceiling with big windows for light. I have ten 4 bulb lights in the new garage (24x20) and at times it still seems dark. I put an oversized 18' door on the old garage instead of the single doors and love it.
  18. I am not so sure that there is the wealth of info using Gen 4/Flex as there was with the PC as to how much polish to use on the pads. Maybe some of the experienced Flex guys can mention how much they put on the pad for the Flex versus say the "4 pee sized drops" for the PC.
  19. Welcome Ron, my neighbor had a 69 Camaro with that color. I polished it for him when he sold it. It was completely set up for the strip. Nasty big block and I loved it when he fired it up. I always called it Black Cherry. Sweet Car and I am sure you will love the color even more after some Adams Love! Here is a picture before we really shined it up for the sale.
  20. Welcome Travis, you will have to get to know Rich since you are in the right geography.

    It's Coming!!

Thanks for the downer Rich! I agree with Scott that I hate the stuff and can't wait to retire in 5 years and build our retirement home in NC where we bought land. If we had a winter every year like last year it wouldn't be bad, but we still got 24" on one Saturday last year! Damn Lake Effect Snow.
  22. Al it is great to see you posting again. Missed you at Grabiak's! I still want a ride in that badass ZR1!
  23. Eric, as Megan and Paul have said there is lots of room. I can put the drivers seat back so I can hardly reach the pedals. I am about 5-11. Passenger seat has limitation to back travel but I have seen posts how to fix that. I debated winter tires, but went the route of a DD so I can keep it out of the salt until I retire to NC. I plan on keeping the G8 through retirement and will try to beat the 13 year 303,000 mile record I had with my Grand Prix. I love my G8 and it runs even better with the Cortex tune. It has lots of power and a firm but comfortable ride. I grew up driving rear wheel drives so I wasn't afraid of it even in snow country here in northern Ohio. Best of Luck with your decision.
  24. Chris, you will get lots of good advice on this forum. As others have mentioned watch the videos! I started out with the PC and just recently purchased a flex. Best advice is to keep the pads flat and keep the polisher moving. Practice makes perfect and I am still practicing with the Flex. I love it. Best of Luck and don't be shy to ask questions. Lots of great people here with tons of experience for us novices.
  25. Mook, I think the response was glossy clear on the machine polished surface.
