  1. Good luck Ray with the new wheels. A guy at work just got rid of his pristine G8 and picked up a new Dodge Ram. The trucks are really popular.
  2. My G8's bra is now 3.5 years old and looks great. It is a 3M and I haven't seen any yellowing. I do use the Fine Machine Polish and Machine Super Sealant on it also. I love the way it has taken the abuse of the stones. It has some real chips in the bra and saved the paint. Prices are all over the map depending on what you want done. My G8 has the clear bra on the front end including headlights and driving lights, front part of hood, front fenders with angle to cover the bulge in the fender, behind all tires low on fenders, rockers, and the flat part on rear bumper by trunk lid. Done at my house for $700
  3. Thanks for sharing Rich. She sure isn't a stuffy brainiak! I remember the first visit with Adam and AJ taking pictures with her and the staff. Everyone had a great time. I sure hope I am around at 84 and on top of my game like she is.
  4. John From the pic it doesn't look original. It may have had a frame off restoration from appearances. I am sure you will evaluate and talk to the owner to know how to treat it with kid gloves. Make sure we get some before and after pics!

    Whole House Fan

I installed one in my house years ago and I also have AC. When it gets really hot and muggy during the dead of summer the AC stays on. I love the fan especially early spring and fall. My noise only comes from rattling louvers and the rush of cool air! It makes my wifes shears over the windows stand straight out as it brings in outside air on high. I love the fan and am really glad I installed it. It is like anything else in the convenience world, there is a time and place for it.
  6. With all the cruisins and shows in our area that would be a good place too. Things are just getting started with the weather hopefully going to be better than last summer.
  7. If the staffing won't allow the station idea, I would suggest the taping of the hood and then the three methods done completely before you let everyone out of their seats to come up and feel it. Once everyone seems to leave their seats it gets chaotic and people leave. One selected person to come up and show the baggie test seems to work fine. Passing the brushes and towels around while the demo is going on is a great thing to let everyone "feel" the difference. Thanks to Lynn for the forum section this year. As always the dinner is fantastic and a great time to laugh and talk over many topics. Ray you have a class place and put on a class show. Thanks again for year 4 look forward to year 5. Adam thanks for making the special trip to join us for dinner. AJ it is always a pleasure to see you and be entertained. Now all we have to do is get our shirts. LOL
  8. Welcome fellow Buckeye Tom! There are three of us East side Adamsaholics and some West side ones too. You are in good company here. Painesville Tom
  9. So Lynn, since some of us never got our shirts are you bringing them to Grabiak for us?
  10. Dylan, is there any difference on the back side of the new pads? I thought the plastic ring made the pads hold up longer without tearing, but made it a little more difficult to clean. I notice the 4" ones have the ring.
  11. Dinner at Carbone's Friday, April 27th at 6:30pm Lynn Matthews aka Lynn@Adam's Tom McDuffee (McDuff) and Justin Nelson
  12. I am with Chris on the soap and water to clay. Like he said you are going to polish anyway. The only lesson I learned the hard way is to not use too much soap in the spray bottle. The first time I made it way too slippery and the clay bar didn't do any good. I like your mixture Chris.
  13. Rich are you going to make the reservation at Carbonnes? Should we start the list of who is going to make dinner on this thread?
  14. Man we are losing some of the long timers this year, Chris and now maybe even Al and Rich. I guess we will have to figure out a way to get to meet the forum people. Any ideas Lynn how we can meet the forum people at the clinic that aren't going to be at the dinner? Adam tells me that he is hoping to make the dinner. I still say the year Adam and AJ was at dinner was hilarious plus them taking pictures with the staff was cool.
  15. Man that looks like one mean radiator and from the looks of all the tools it fit right in like a glove.....right?
  16. Nice to see you posting AJ! Is the Vette all back together and immaculate again? I saw one posting with pics of the engine apart so I guess I know how the starter thing turned out.
  17. Hey Chris congrats on the great family pictures. The Holidays are a great time for the family pictures. Thanksgiving this year at my Son's Shaun and Christmas at my daughter's Stacy's. Robin and I loved it.
  18. Unfortunately our nice weather is over for the year. I crammed both cars back in the heated new garage and freed up the old garage for winter use. Now I can wash during the ugly salt season the two winter/daily drivers.
  19. Man Chris I wish I had your connections to try out all of the new stuff!
  20. Les, this is just a sampling of what this forum is like. A lot of people chip if for the good causes and this definitely qualifies! Lynn has promised to list all of the products being shipped for Damien once she gets it all together. PLEASE make sure that you get some good pictures of him when it is given to him and post on this thread. We all hope that he enjoys his Adams products as much as we do. Thank you for your initial posting and I am happy to do my small part. God Bless
  21. If we all had climate controlled garages like Chris we could leave everything in the garage too! LOL I am just jealous Chris of that garage of yours. Great looking storage devices guys. I need to update my "anal" shelf as my wife calls it in the house, but it keeps things under 75 degrees year round. It works for me with the plastic bin left cracked open because I am always aware of the sealing in plastic bags after ruining one set of pads that weren't 100% dry.
  22. You are the man Adam! The top is hard to get off also but the bottom on my container is really bowed out so much that it rocks like crazy when you sit it down. I assume that nobody has had a problem with the container cracking open yet. In case the container does split, has anyone had any luck moving the wax to another container like tupperware?
  23. Dylan, In the past I compared #2 the pink to other products that I was using and it didn't seem to leave scratches like other products. Because the polished aluminum on my 32 is in such good shape (hard work keeping it that way) I have never really used #1 on the 32. I am worried that the combination will be a little more aggressive than I want. How would you think it stacks up to just using #2? Adam knows that I spent a lot of time comparing and I still like to have my valve covers and other aluminum without the fine scratches if possible. Thanks Tom
  24. Hey JC thanks for the compliment. We are all spoiled to different levels and I look at a garage like 200XF4 and wish I could have done more. I just made the best of the budget that I had with my own time and sweat and some blood. These garages are great and it is cool to see what "toys" are in them too!
  25. Man am I jealous at some of the first time cars on here. I got a used 73 Vega with spoilers and I thought I was really cool! Of course less than a year later it started huffing oil like they all did. It was time for an engine transplant and put a 215 V8 from the early 60's in it. A guy in Michigan made a swap kit and used the stock muncie 4 speed and rearend. It was a sleeper after that and I loved running the smogged out Mustangs then. 215 cu in and 200 HP...I thought I died and went to heaven. Chris I am jealous that your first car was a 72 Chevelle, I couldn't afford to be in that arena.
