  1. Brian has the answer! If you lay the pad on a flat surface on top of the towel and press down you will be amazed at how dry the pad feels already. By the next day they should be good to go. I have even watched "The Man" Adam use this technique in the hotel room for the next day at the booth. Of course I scrubbed the pads out for him. LOL
  2. AND as great as the products are, the customer service is even better! Wonderful organization that "gets it" about business. You are right on Kyle and I have been using these products for years. The other fantastic thing is that they are always trying to improve! New products and even easier applications like the H20. Adam convinced me at Columbus and I just bought my first gallon after doing about 10 vehicles even a large Volvo Truck. If only all of the products that I purchase in my life worked as well as Adams Polishes products do!
  3. I can't offer you any advice with that machine, but I can tell you years ago I sacrificed one of my 4" pads for my aluminum rims and just attached it to my drill. I run it on the lower speed and it does a great job. I was just trying to improve my son's big wheels on his Volvo truck and couldn't get into all the tighter places, but it sure did a nice job on the surfaces I could get at. I will now be using it to clean and polish up his wheels on the Freightliner that we are trying to sell.
  4. Hi Aaron and Welcome to another Buckeye! Tim and I are both east side Mentor/Painesville area. I second the recommendation of the H2O product. Adam got me to use it at the Columbus show and Ben from Customer Service also recommended so I gave it a shot. I have now done my wife's Encore, my DD Buick, my G8, sons Denali Pickup, his girlfriends Chrysler 200, sister-in-law's Civic and my son's Volvo! I love this stuff and I have used the Paint Sealant with my machines for years. You will love the Adam's Product line and we are always here to help answer questions. You are always welcome to take a drive east and stop by the house for a little Adams Products kick around too.
  5. Yes Adam told me it was headed to Syracuse and Carlisle for the Corvette show. You will like the setup!
  6. Friday was decent attendance with the rain. Saturday was beautiful and Sunday morning it poured. I wondered if anyone would come but by 10 the skies started to look better and cars started rolling in. The crowd came back especially for the trophies. LOL Adam kept on demonstrating and getting people sucked in. He is the Master at that!
  7. It was sweet to have to roof over our head because it rained Thursday, Friday and Sunday. We were able to set up in dry. They will appreciate this setup in Syracuse this weekend.
  8. Here are some pics of the new Adams Booth Setup including trailer, awning, video monitors, shelves, and flooring. Very nice setup and worked well with customers after a little evolution of display.
  9. Looking forward to spending some quality time with the crew. I am always up for spending time with the MAN and learning about all of the new stuff. By then the newest BIG announcement will have been made so I should get to see whatever it is. I am sure this old body will be tired trying to keep up with everyone during the show. I have fond memories of this show when I took my wife there to look at ideas for the interior of our 32. It was hard to look at 5,000 vehicles in one day. Hopefully I will get to catch up with some of my Adams converts since this is the largest show in Ohio.
  10. Welcome Matt! What part of Ohio are you in? There are a few of us Adams Polishes Addicts in the northern part. We have quite a brotherhood here in helping out so don't be shy with questions. Lots of really good guys and gals on here that will help.
  11. I don't know where in Ohio you are located, but I am 30 miles east of Cleveland and you are always welcome to come over and we can do a number on it. Just send me a PM.
  12. JC, I can tell you that is one really wild ride. I helped a coworker at my place do his Hellcat and show him all about Adam products. I was able to use some Waterless Wash on his underside of the hood to show him and caution him about wax products. Others on here have talked about using Liquid Sealant on the hood and rear spoiler, but I didn't do it that day. We clayed, polished, sealed and I put a coat of Patriot wax on it for him. We also took the time to jack it up, clean the wheels and seal them and paint the calipers. I showed him on my G8 how much nicer they look painted with black ceramic paint. His rotors were already starting to rust around the ring where the wheel sits up against it. He was very excited to see how much the metal flake popped with this process. Hell of a car! Enjoy and break it in like they tell you with the staying under 4000RPM until you get 500 miles on it. I look forward to taking him up on letting me drive it AFTER it is broken in. Good Luck.
  13. Many years ago I was searching for a metal polish for my aluminum on my 32 and saw Adams Polishes on the internet. I sent an email on a Sunday afternoon with some questions and Adam answered me that afternoon! We went back forth 5 or 6 times and he sent me a sample and asked me to let him know. I did a test and even documented it on his website. I never expected the owner to respond to an email on a Sunday. I have been hooked since and even had the pleasure of helping the man at Lingenfelter's a couple of years ago for a clinic. I have been hooked for quite a few years and have some others hooked as well. GREAT STUFF!
  14. Great looking car! Another bone nosed move by GM to get rid of the G8, but hey we have collector cars.
  15. He did offer to let me drive it, but he hasn't gotten it broken in so I asked for a rain check. According to the manual you need 500 miles before taking it above 4,000 RPM and 1500 miles on it before you take it to the drag strip. He had about 425 miles on it at the time. The hood is not as rough for a matte finish as I expected. No clear coat on it. Taking care of it brochure said no products with any wax in them. Adams Forums helped me there because I had some old Waterless Wash and I used that and it did a nice job so I gave him the bottle and a microfiber towel. He told me all about the red and black keys. The menus on the dash were amazing! You can set it to ONLY do 500 HP which is what he has now. It also had an engine menu showing you RPM tach in the middle along with HP, Torque and Boost that you are using at the time. When Joel goosed it when we left my sons house I saw it go to 195 HP really fast as the supercharger boost went up. Too Cool! My son has a car hauling business and his present driver told me that he had picked up a load of Hellcats in Canada. The car came out of the factory with a mode that only lets the car haulers do 2mph. Once the dealer gets them then they unlock that feature. Pretty neat safety factor. Joel searched for a Hellcat for months. The only reason he got this one was that he found an owner of a dealership that had ordered this one in November and decided not to keep it. He said he would have ordered it without that matte hood and shiny wheels, but he is happy with the car. He wanted the lime green color and said some people don't like it. I told him that he wrote the check and who cares what others think! Joel loved learning all about Adams products. He had never done claying and was amazed with the baggie test before and after. He loved the blowing off the water trick after a wash also. I am sure he will become an Adams lover like all of us have!
  16. I had the distinct pleasure to give some Adams love to a coworkers new Hellcat. It was a great day in my garage to have this beast in for a lesson of claying, polishing, sealant and some Patriot Wax. Joel the owner is thrilled with the car and can't wait to be able to unleash 700+ HP! After making this beauty shine and doing some painting of rotors and leather treatment, it was time to get a ride......WOW what a beast this thing is. I hope to get to experience the full blown power after it is all broken in.
  17. Phil, I guess I am the idiot because when I look at your profile it just says East Coast. Where exactly are you?
  18. Marked it down on my calendar! Missed last year also for the first time. Let us know if we are set up for Friday night, it's a great time!!!!!
  19. I am with Phil, I was admiring the garage and lift as much as the car! You are doing a great job on the car. I am curious what did you put on your garage floor?

    Project Vega

One that I liked. When I had my Vega with a 327 in it we put a Don Hardy shortened rear end in it without tubbing the car and fit some decent tire inside the wheel wells with only bending the lip in. Might be a shortcut for you since you mentioned them. Have you figured out the engine mount system yet? We had a front mount for the engine to save room on the sides. I will watch with a lot of interest to bring back my glory Vega days. Best of Luck and keep the pics coming.
  21. Welcome to another Buckeye from a NE Ohio guy! Great looking wheels you have there. You will love how that black will look even better now.
  22. Bruce, when you find one and start the project keep us informed with lots of pictures like Scott said. I had 2 V-8 Vegas a long time ago. One had a 215 cu in all aluminum that was built in the early 60's rated at 200HP that weighed 40lbs more than the 4 cylinder that came in the car. The other was a 327 out of 66 Corvette. Man that thing ran even though I built it for the street. It should have been a drag car. Good Luck! I see a few at shows around us in the summer.
  23. Kevin, I did as Dave suggested and used some Brake Cleaner on a rag and wiped my wife's new Encore to remove some of the same sticker stuff on the inside of the windshield. With a little bit of rubbing it came right off.
  24. Congrats on winning Best in Class. Of course I am also jaded in my admiration for the gray G8's as you can see from my avatar. Great cars aren't they? Mine is a 2009 and I love it. I have the Cortex tune and I love the way it shifts and runs now. By the wheels do you have the base version with the V6?
