I Think I Learned Something New Today

TR6speed

Question

Then again maybe not. I have been using Adams products for sometime now. In fact when I first started to use them, the line consisted of Swirl & Haze Remover, Revive Polish, Buttery Wax Detail Spray, VRT and the In and Out Spray. I watched the videos when I first got started and started using my leaf blower to dry the car. I basically removed almost all of the water with the blower and finished with the waffle towel.

Well today, I gave my Vette a complete bath started with one bucket just for the exhaust system and wheel wells. Then the two bucket method for the body. One 5 gallon bucket with plan water and the second bucket is my Adams caddy bucket with the grit guard. After the wash, I pulled it in the garage and got my leaf blower out, but this time I only used it to clear the glass area of the majority of the water, then to get it out of the mirrors, tail lights and any place that normally holds water. The body of the car was still wet, and what I did was sprayed a fine mist of detail spray over the area I was about to dry. This is what appeared to happen, the detail spray seemed to help the waffle towel absorb the water much more then without using it . Now is that a fact, or is it that the waffle towels can soak up that much water. I was able to dry the complete car with one towel. That includes not only the body, but the door jamb, rear hatch area, and the engine compartment.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

I have heard that that it helps. I have not washed my car with water since I started purchasing Adams products. This has been nice. I have only driven about 2000 miles since the beginning of September and only on nice days. I will try it next time I bust out the bucket.

I agree. Like I mentioned I have been using Adams on my Vette and consider myself some what knowledgeable on the different products, but I still am a long way from master detailer status.

Don't worry, it's like learning an evolving, never ending art. I never get tired of watching someone like Adam or Dylan or the Adam's crew show me new tricks I can pass on to customers. Plus, I keep raising my standards.
