Looks like just another weekend at MarylandTDI's house... I try not to judge :jester:

Hey now... Things are much more professional around here. For instance, we always take the aluminum latters off the roof before we detail. It's just common sense.

But seriously, that pic was so disturbing I had to look away... And then noticed the giant molars in the background. What the heck is going on here? Is this some sort of cultish dental school island?!?

To whoever posted that pic... Please, go into your google settings and turn "Safe Seach" back on... :help:

It's really not necessary to come up with a cutesy name to be a good name. Some things to consider are initials of the owners of the company, actual names like Bill and Bob, the name of your hometown - the list goes on and on.

One piece of advice though - I would assume that you'll have some kind of web presence. Make sure that whatever you choose for a name, that there is a matching domain name. Nothing is more confusing than having a different domain name from your company name.

Best of luck with your new endeavor!

Okay....I was just making a funny with the "Studs with Suds" suggestion. But since it caught your attention I decided to just use the good ole Bing search. Unfortunately I have some bad news for you....

Sorry but I would not take my vehicle to a place that said studs with suds. To me it would sound like a bunch of guys with no experience washing cars. You need something that can present itself just by the name until of course you get clientel that can share there experience with friends and coworkers that will then get your business booming. Just my .02

I too live in MD. Where are you located? I hope you're not close to me...;) I'm in PG Co. I'm just starting my detailing business. It's call Integrity Detailing, LLC. Sorry, it's already registered in MD.

I do suggest that you think of something that is true to your heart. Integrity has been something that I've been passionate about for years. One of my phases that I like to use is, "Integrity Detailing, we'll leave the loose change with it's owner." Might sound silly but after doing some R&D I found a lot of feedback about missing change. Those little things matter to paying customers.

Best wishes.

My original name was mainline home entertainment. The mainline around here in Pennsylvania is a high end area filled with tons of money. I though i was being clever and choosing that. What i quickly found was that everyone over in jersey thought i just delt with Pennsylvania specifically around the mainline. Also home entertainment means alot of different things. I was in a wawa and came out and a lady asked if i could come to her daughters party because the clown they had hired cancelled on them. She assumed we did clowns (even though my van was wrapped with home theaters and had home theater design sales & installation below the name) After that i changed my name to "Signature Sound & Video" super generic and boring but it seems to be working. i dont get asked if i do clowns anymore :lolsmack:

Hahaha oh man, thats pretty hilarious.:jester:

Studs With Suds! :D

As generic as it sounds, if it's as simple as both your initials followed by Auto Detailing it will be fine. It's the quality of work that makes the business in this industry. I tried to figure out a clever name but in the end my initials work well for a side business and people seem to like it.

here you go Business Names - Crowdsourced Naming Contests - Naming Force

Alot of guys in my industry are using them to help find "non generic" names. Alot of clever ones come out of their too!

Best $250 bucks you will spend. if you dont like any of them then i think you just pay $50 bucks. A name is everything, just dont geographically lock your self in a name.
