  1. Funny stuff. Can't wait for part two...
  2. This past weekend I did engine bay, the wheels, then 2-bucket wash (dry w/detail spray). A couple of questions: 1. I wasn't able to run the engine until after the wash, so I ended up with water spotting on the engine cover. The video doesn't address order-of-operation... Confirming it would be bad to have the car running during the wash so that the engine can dry? 2. I'm using off-brand fluffy micros to dry the wheels after the car wash (works well), so that I can us Quick Sealant on the wheels. What do people use to dry the tires prior to S-VRT? Old beach towels?
  3. Welcome! What color is it? I have a black one, and it's been away most of the summer with my son, so I haven't been able to give it my new Adam's addiction treatment.
  4. Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats, center cosole, shifter in the Hot Wheel....
  5. Washed the Hot Wheel last night for today's Show Stopperz show at the fairgrounds. We had 10 Camaros roll in together (including a 2010 Transformers and a turbo-charged V6). I overheard someone in our group saying he wanted to try Adam's Super VRT. I went to my trunk, pulled the 4oz bottle out of my kit, along with a block applicator and gave it to him. "Merry Christmas. You'll love it. Try it out." Hopefully made a convert...
  6. Welcome from Lamorinda. Did you head out to the Show Stopperz today at the fairgrounds?
  7. Welcome (from a Bay Area member)!!
  8. The results are already amazing. A technique question, if I may? I've been reading through threads like crazy. Most folks are recommending moving across the panels at about 1/2 to 1/4 of the speed you are using in this video (about 1" per second is what I seem to see most often). Is it because overall you make more passes with the machine before moving on to the next panel?
  9. I'm still gawking at the garage... Fantastic looking car. My dad had a '64 2-top and it *never* looked that good.
  10. I was also shuddering about the towels.... Hey... Ding & Dent sale?
  11. Today, I'm at work, but yesterday at was at the MotoGP race at Laguna Seca raceway in Monterey, CA. I got there early so I could park my matte black Streetfighter (1098) on Ducati Island (cleaned with Adam's products, of course).

  14. I saw this earlier on FB. Why is it wet with the hood & windows open?
  15. Installed the radiator and oil-cooler guards on my Streetfighter, waterless washed it and hit it with the quick sealant in preparation for my trip to the MotoGP at Laguna Seca this weekend.
  16. It looks like it's floating in front of the screen. Very cool. I like the current configuration (although I may go back to white). The PREV/NEXT buttons are the only (very minor) issue.
  17. What is it with the SF Bay Area??? You'd think we'd have something closer in than Petaluma and Morgan Hill...
  18. Made a Field Kit for my car: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/24392-trunk-kit-for-field-work/
  19. I got the Sampler Box as an intro to Adam's products after reading about them on the Camaro5.com forums. I noticed that the foam insert was about the right size for the "Men's Shoe Box" from the Container Store. I was using one of those in my previous car to store items in the trunk. I decided to make a "Field Kit" for my car. Basically, items that I might need to spruce things up at a meet or if I have an issue that I want to attack quickly to make the overall cleaning easier. I took the Car Shampoo out of the kit (unlikely to need that in the field), and with some empty small bottles, I set to make my own field kit. I labeled the bottles with a P-Touch. (I gave away the SVRT from the kit to a friend who A-All on her tires, hence the re-done bottle) Here are all of the bottles in the foam in the container: Here's the kit with the accessories added: I added some Velcro strips to the bottom so that it wouldn't slide around in the trunk. All put away:
