  1. 2 bucket wash, dressed the tires, quick sealant on the wheels and brilliant glaze to the body. Beautiful!
  2. The Black & Red 67 Vette in a recent detailing thread would be right at the top of my list...
  3. Breathtaking. The condition of that car is amazing, and your work is inspiring. It was a PERFECT Fourth of July choice.
  4. Welcome! I'm also a n00b, and also have a PC for personal vehicle work. I've done a little with it so far, and it seems to be working well.
  5. NICE! Looks like you need to update your sig-pic with that shot...
  6. File a claim on the contractor's insurance. Not acceptable at all.
  7. ++1. On two separate occasions (the latest being yesterday), I have been too quick on the "complete" trigger and made two orders right after each other. In both cases (because the shipping adds on each order), Matt was awesome and worked it through for me. Adam's customer service is top-shelf.
  8. Ok... That Eraser Wheel video scared the crap outta me! I was cringing to see the after-effects on the paint. But, of course Dylan is a BOSS, so there was no issue. If that we me.... Well, let's just say I'm not using that..... My son debadged the WRX with dental floss instead of fishing line. It worked great. I keep going back and forth about whether or not to debadge the "Camaro" above the Hot Wheels badge on each side. I actually had the heat gun in my hand at one point, but changed my mind.
  9. D'oh!! I saw this *right after* finishing an order for the Daily Special... Of course I had to just go ahead and make another order. I've been waiting for those Great Whites...
  10. Welcome to the... uh... madness!
  11. I was just buffing. I did use the glass cleaner and that worked on the windows. I'll try the DS.
  12. Another newb question.... When I used Super VRT on the window seals, it left noticable marks on the glass and the door frames. I wasn't able to buff it off. So, does it make sense to VRT everything BEFORE the wash/polish/wax?
  13. In the San Francisco East Bay Area (Oakland/Berkeley/Walnut Creek), the absolute BEST deep-dish pizza is from Zachary's. I've been to many states and tried many pizza places, and this is just hands-down the best (sorry Chicago). For Burgers, there is Barney's burgers and The Counter isn't bad either. Many good Mexican places, but the best was "La Fiesta" in Berkeley, but after 52 years, the owner finally retired... Great steak places, but Ruth's Chris is my favorite. You can find good food from just about anywhere in the world. Great place to live.
  14. For tops, in another thread Dylan recommended RaggTopp brand.
  15. Same idea for interior windows (especially for cars like Camaros with barely any access to the rear window).
  16. I went to the Blackhawk Automotive Museum's ( http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/ ) monthly "Cars and Coffee" event with 18 other members of the Camaro5 forums community. I used my Adam's Sampler kit and some micros to spiff up the car when I got there. Here are the Camaros: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Lecron/slideshow/Camaro5/Camaros%20at%20Blackhawk%20070713 Here are the non-Camaros: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Lecron/slideshow/Camaro5/Blackhawk%20070713
  17. Yeah, how do you deal with the Nav screen????
  18. Vacuumed out the interior and trunk and used the Total Interior Detailer today. I also placed the Mattel version of the car inside...
  19. "...You can buy three SRT Vipers for the price of one AMG Black Series...." Yeah, I can't even buy ONE of the SRT Vipers, so it's moot. I thought it was a well done head-to-head. Cost not being an option, I would have to go with the AMG.
  20. There was a good thread about severe de-con of white cars with deep wheel cleaner, but I think that's as far as I would go...
  21. Two-bucket wash on the Camaro. Yesterday I used my PC for the FIRST TIME on my mom's Honda Fit. I used the Paint Finishing Polish and I saw a slight difference between the rear door that I did, and the front door that I did not do. I also clayed the glass and used [another company product] to seal the glass. I could NOT get the haze out... Overall, I was happy with my test run. <<EDIT>> Oh yeah! I also received & opened my largest Adam's order yet.
