  1. Two bucket wash on my mom's borrowed car, along with clay-barred windows and glass sealant. I'm going to clay bar the clear coat when it gets cooler. We also went to see The Lone Ranger (it was fun) and now firing up the grill to cook "cowboy steaks."
  2. The one I got last week was made in Mexico, although as Dylan said, there may be components made in China.
  3. One or more protrusions from the *sides* of the container, so it doesn't interfere with getting to the bottom?
  4. A shot of him wrapped up in a double-soft would be awesome. Congrats!!
  5. "Adam's Great White Microfiber Drying Towel (Temporarily Out Of Stock)"
  6. I never thought of this! I might actually try that.
  7. This sounds awesome. I have yet to go the full route -- I've stopped at washing & VRT on the wheels (the car is 2 months old). I'm getting a "practice car" this week (I'm going to surprise my mom). I'm hoping to learn some things about the polisher... Great thread -- great inspiration.
  8. That's too cute. Welcome, and thank you for your service.
  9. Looking great!! My wife got a new car about a week ago. Three days later I washed it along with mine. At first she asked why, but afterwards, she understood...
  10. Traffic cameras (including toll bridges), and dealing with stolen vehicles. Also identification after hit & runs, crimes, etc... Lots of reasons. Mainly it's to piss of auto buffs.
  11. I'm probably going to try in on the WRX before I work on the Hot Wheel. Kind of my "test car."
  12. THIS: Due to two kids & 20 years of marriage and too many hobbies, I don't have room to detail in the garage, so a tent would be awesome. Of course, I guess I could just drive down to Target.... WASHER FLUID!!!!
  13. I own a WRX and it is a FUN machine. I wasn't quite ready to pop for the BRZ
  14. Old guy, new to detailing. I've never owned a car that I wanted to hand wash/dry/wax/detail. I would just go to the local wash/hand-dry place or simply the drive-through (most often with no dry ). Now I have MORE than one car that I hand wash/dry. I purchased the sampler kit, and have since bought buckets, grit-guards, a fender brush, green wheel cleaner, detail spray and more micro-fiber towels than I'm willing to admit to my wife. I've been too chicken to dry clay-baring and polishing/waxing yet. I have a clay bar kit, and I just ordered a PC7424XP, so I'm slooooowly moving that way... Love the videos, and so far the products have been great. Thanks for hosting this community. I was not aware of the detailing hobby, or at least the extent of it.
