Ya I learned the hard way

I've used Zaino too. It's what I used before using Adams. I remember I was very impressed with what Zaino did the first time I used it but I was moving up from Turtle Wax, Meguiars, ect. Jumping from Zaino to Adams was less of a difference because they are competing at a higher level. I've yet to do a side by side because I put my Zaino away and don't feel like mixing it up and doing all the work of striping the finish and applying it. I bet you could layer the Adam's paste wax over Zaino with great results but I don't have any first hand experience, and every finish is different. Let us know what happens. I'm curious to know.

Don't get too into the detail. I've done cars for people like that and they don't really understand or respect the work that's involved in what you do. Just saying don't expect a huge thank you. Good luck on the detail hope all goes well. If you get some good before and after pics post them up. What kind of car is it?

Lol John don't feel like your wasting money. Your still removing other contaminants that can cause permanent damage and protecting your finish. I know what you mean though. It's tough keeping a car how you want it when all the roads you drive on are dusty.

Cool so is my car while I'm on vacation, should be ready when I get back if all goes according to plan. Since we are on the topic of car wash soap I got a question. I had mentioned to Adam a while back that the previous soap I was using claimed to have sun protection built into it. Adam asked what it was I told him it was Zaino's and he said he'd look into it. My question is to Adam I guess, if he found out anything more about that and if it's true or if it would be possible to put it in future Adam's car wash? I'll be on vacation for the next week and a half but I'll check here when I get back.

I try to get some on my mitt but mainly add it to the bucket of water. If it's all on the rag and your using two bucket method after your first pass most of your soap will end up in the other bucket. Also my suds seem to be less noticeable when my car is freshly waxed. I don't know why.

I know how you feel, only ever had a couple of people come up to me while I was detailing to talk to me about it. I started out by getting people at my work that know and trust me to do their cars. That's what I'm still doing now but it's slow.

Yes please do. I don't know all there is to know about detailing but when I see what some people call detailing I feel like a pro.

Adam is sending me a replacement that is more durable to testout. Hope it holds out. I was trying to think of what I did different because it lasted so long.

Sorry to post again but it finally happened to me. My pad is disintegrating I tried to find the thread about it but couldn't.

I was going to say the site told him to wash it like that. I followed those directions too and ended up with fibers all over my other MF and the pad beaded up. I spent a good bit of time pulling the fibers out of my MF stuff. Now it gets washed with my regular laundry towels and dry on low heat for only a few min by it's self (it dries fast) then I put my regular laundry in. It's never been as good as new but it still works.

I have heard something about this but I can't remember where and I thought it was in a later model.

Dylan hooked me up with a deal on some, it's really nice. I'm going to only use it from now on. A little bit goes a long way and it will save me the other stuff for my cloths.
