  1. It's come up before. There are concentrates on the market that are cleaning agents that you add like 1 oz to your gallon of wash fluid for better cleaning power. I have one and it works well as the blue stuff you buy is really just methanol (alcohol) and water - not much cleaning power and no fresh scent coming through your AC vents when you use it. Obviously that's the only viable product because for Adam's to sell a gallon of windshield washer fluid for $12 would not be cost effective for the consumer. Although most on here would prob buy it lol.
  2. It's like a mild Granny Smith Apple. Nice and not overpowering IMO
  3. It looks etched. Finishing Polish is pretty weak and really for only fine polishing - do you have any of the orange? Or was that what you used with the Microfiber pad?
  4. Thats a great start Nate - Adam's has a very good regimen to keep your car looking good and many processes out there to be as efficient as possible - it all starts with drying and washing techniques.
  5. It doesn't really dry out as fast as the previous formula (one of the biggest complaints) which is why its so easy to apply and remove - I have let it set up for 15 mins and even left it a few hours and it really looks the same on the surface, removes like butter.
  6. And its nothing more than a paint sealant for the outside and a UV protectant for the inside IMO - I'm glad you didn't overpay, but treat it as that and maintain with your regular detailing products is my opinion - You still want to clay bar your vehicle and seal it every 3-6 months to protect from contaminants and UV exposure - on the inside I would use the interior cleaner and Leather Conditioner every 2 months and do wipedowns in between with Interior The way the brand name is thrown around it just implies its something special and unless I see chemical proof that it is, I would treat it like a typical wax/sealant job on the outside and a UV protectant on the inside. I have a large problem with anything that comes up as being sold at car dealerships as a POS product when you are in the F&I dept signing the paperwork - and the legitimacy of said product being nothing more than snake oil compared to the Meg's wax or Armor All you get on the shelf at Wally World.
  7. Yeah a 40 degree tip should work awesome on gas washers - touchless wheel cleaning almost! My electric Ryobi has a 15 degree and since its lower pressure I can basically get it almost on the paint for baked on bugs and it works great no damage.
  8. Personally I'd use your Tolco's on those 32oz bottles if you have them - I've used both types of sprayers although they arent bad the Tolco's work better IMO
  9. Yep I keep a bottle of Detail Spray in the house, works great on kitchen wipedowns and for dusting furniture
  10. I have bought Lowes and Depot buckets before - my problem is they used to be heavier duty .95mil or so plastic - I still have an Orange HD bucket of the thick plastic that I use as my wheel bucket Last time I went to Depot or Lowes they had the cheaper .7mil plastic which can flex quite a bit when full of water - I like my buckets heavy duty. Adam's buckets are confirmed to be the heavier duty .95mil and I bought a few in the past year - worked well when I was like $18 below free shipping threshold - I have 4 buckets now, 2 for wash, 1 for wheels (HD bucket), and 1 for rinseless washing lol
  11. Lol I hope you didn't pay that much extra for that dealer installed Paint Sealant I would have paid for a pro coating like OC, CQ, etc from a reputable detailer if anything.....
  12. ^^Works great on the house too!! I actually used my Ryobi electric on my house and no problems, but I probably will get the gas model for more efficient house cleaning (and even more suds with a foam cannon!)
  13. It probably took longer to register for the forum and type out that long first post on here after hanging up with Ben today - than it would have if you just asked if you had the option to get a 110% refund on your payment method when you were on the phone or live chat with him lol
  14. I love my MTM foam cannon with my electric Ryobi pressure washer from HD - thing is a workhorse for $150!
  15. No need to be - proper technique will have you just as safe as 2 bucket all day - if you do a GDWM its technically safer because you aren't reintroducing a single dirt particle back to paint potentially, even with a rinse bucket and grit guard there is a chance that dirt remains in your media - if you use all 8 sides and then go to a fresh towel, you are always using a clean wash media. Efficient and safe! Give it a try you will be hooked by the speed and results - it is SOOOO nice in summer to be able to do it in the garage instead of in the hot sun, or in the winter you arent freezing outside This is probably the best method of both worlds - the pressure washer rinse will remove 80% or so of surface grime, giving you extremely little remaining dirt on the surface. I also do this method sometimes when its too hot out and I want to just blast off the car and then pull it in and complete my wash in the shade of the garage - works great!
  16. This comes up too often to waste my time typing - I don't use Glaze, if you use it, use it whenever you want to although I would recommend your strongest protection on top with nothing below it, personally - again, I don't use any filling products on my vehicles so its a moot discussion for me
  17. Not in the least lol - rinseless all day - you guys should see my cars in winter when driving in salt and snow
  18. New ones dont I just got one on the Mem day sale
  19. If you do a GDWM, Emir you really only need 1 gallon of water (which would be 1/2 oz of Adams Rinseless concentrate) No need to fill up with extra water or waste extra product if you are doing a multi-towel GDWM (google search for the technique) - Every time I do my car or my wifes its always 1 gallon of water with the amount of concentrate needed, and about 5-6 towels for paint (borderless grays or single softs are perfect) and 2 towels for wheels (use a dedicated wheel towel) - comes out great every time and the towels come out clean in the wash
  20. ^this. Although it's pH neutral it will degrade sealant protection - if your wheels are sealed maintain with brushes and a bucket of suds, every 3 months or so deep clean and re seal for protection.
  21. I say you get about 25 applications out of the bottle (you only need about 2-3 sprays per panel) so the 16 oz is a good start. Once a month is plenty
  22. Waffle weave to dry is easiest and best way when rinseless washing - the 16x24 size of the "waterless wash towel" works great for this put multiple towels in the bucket and you dont even have to do anything but wring them out after using all 8 sides and launder with the rest of your towels - very easy
  23. ^Correct - distance is more necessary with the gas washers - I've used my Ryobi 1700/1.2gpm electric washer with the yellow 15 degree tip basically 6 inches from the surface to get bug guts and no issues
