  1. Omg brings back memories of 15-20 years ago when I helped my dad wash my mom's car and his car on a Sunday - we would dry the car (with bath towels of course) - then when done he would drive into the caul-de-sac and park the car, and spray on the popular Tire Wet foamy aerosol dressing and wipe it in with a rag, then move the car another 3 feet and get the spots he missed, let it sit a few mins and drive it back into our driveway and in the garage. I think he even brought the cardboard up to the street so he wouldn't get oil smileys on the street lol -
  2. Clay bar it and throw a coat of sealant. Vac and wipe down the inside. Done.
  3. Do you have one of those stupid washing machines that do a full load with like 1 gallon of water to save the planet. That may be the issue. You may need a second rinse on those newer machines to be sure the machine has all the wash residue out from the towels being cleaned.
  4. My wifes inner windshield is super grabby too - Give me until tomorrow to test it but I think this should work much better - it works great on my X5's glass but that glass is never grabby
  5. ^I agree with Dan - buy it during one of their sales for sure - also the "other retailer" you pay sales tax in probably more than half the states in the US right now - I appreciate vendors that don't have retail operations in my state so I don't have to pay more tax to the government than I already do LOL
  6. What you got against white lol All Sidekicks Matter
  7. New Americana remedies the easy on and off IMO. But I do agree. For the anti static and extra slickness and durability that a sealant offers - I would only use paint sealant on the PPF
  8. ^Great tips Darryl and I agree with all - Also keep in mind PPF's are not a lifetime item - they should be stripped and redone at probably a maximum of 5-6 years
  9. Is Suntek self healing like Xpel? I'd ask the installer if polish is ok on it. I sure wouldn't do anything more than PF on it by hand probably though, on a white pad at low speed.
  10. Follow the manufacturer's instructions - if its Xpel Ultimate, I wouldn't be polishing the film - Just keep it clean and sealed, since it self heals. Yes Porsche black is soft, especially non-metallic black. Have fun washing every 2 hours LOL Since you also have the wallet for the PPF - invest the $360 in the Master Blaster, like I told you in the last thread - then you can blowdry the car and only use single or double softs for final wipes
  11. Lol - as a dog person trust me there are lots of voices and things I shouldn't say as a dude - but when talking to or about dogs, I get a pass
  12. Try a stiff bristle brush to loosen up the hairs as you go over with the shop vac. What vac and attachments are you using? And yes they are the best- post a pic of yours! Mine is going to be 10 this month and is in amazing shape - and he is a recent cancer survivor - thank God - we had a month of radiation and then 5 chemo treatments but his oncology team is so amazing to save his life. And yes the sharp white needles my wife is always picking the hairs out of her bra because they stab her lol!
  13. Many threads about clay alternatives and it usually turns into arguments lol - google search some old threads. I've used clay alternatives and they work well - others will not use anything but clay.
  14. Fellow American Bulldog owner! People don't realize that our dogs short white hairs are totally different than the longer silkier locks of a golden retriever. My wifes car has beige leatherette and I have to go over it every few weeks - forget about cloth seats or black interiors with an AB
  15. I wouldn't use deep wheel cleaner on plasti dip wheels honestly
  16. You've got the wallet. Get the master blaster and touch it as little as possible.
  17. If you are doing a rinseless wash - I would just add a bit of APC to the bucket - I use 1 gallon per vehicle, so I'd probably add 1/2 oz of APC to the bucket with my 1/2 oz of rinseless - would be a great clean/strip wash in one
  18. Yes - we went over this - that spec on the box is supposedly like a mid-range spec - many users have used with electric washers so far - all works well .
  19. There are great LED Worklights at Home Depot for around $80-100 - work great for correction. If the polish dries on the pads, just wet them down when you wash them - I wash my pads with MFR diluted 3:1 and even if they are dry, with that, plus warm water they come out great Third question is for Dylan - I don't know if there is any sort of overheat protection on the tool - but if there isn't, are you using an extension cord? Make sure the gauge wire is thick enough, if the extension cord is too light duty, it puts undue electrical stress on the tool and could overheat it or burn out the motor
  20. It is the brass on the cannon I'm sure - probably some lead in it - you see the same warnings on hoses and brass fittings for plumbing. Shouldn't be a huge issue.
  21. I do my wheels/tires completely separately with a bucket of suds and brushes and get them clean, you can rinse them down with the pressure washer if you want if its out. Then foam up the car and go to town on the paint
  22. You are brave. I don't care how sweet the deal was, I will never own another black car (my wifes previous vehicle was)
  23. Could be. But I only tried TID once. And I did not use it again because on certain plastics it is uneven and/or streaks. I used it on several types of surfaces too. Love the baby powder scent. But IMO it needs to be reformulated to leave absolutely nothing behind. Not even a hint of dressing aspect which I think is the problem.
