  1. I have had in the back of my head the crazy idea to start my own side business. I have done a few detail jobs and they seem to turn out great for people and they are always very pleased with the results. This detailing has become a true passion of mine along with using Adams products. SOOO i have always been jelouse of people that had jobs doing what they love and i thought to myself why not start detailing cars to make some extra cash and see where it goes, maybe i can someday make a living doing this and quit my current job. What i am looking for is any advice from you "pro" detailers that run your own business. I have a few questions also... 1) do you guys carry insurance? in case you mess up someone car? and is it expensive? 2) Do you work out of your house (garage) or do you actually have a building you work out of? 3) Do people bring their cars to you and drop them off or do you go pick them up and take them to your facility? Most full detail jobs take longer then what people will want to wait for. 4)Do you guarentee your work? and do you get alot of picky people complaining about every little thing? 5) do you run across people that want you to just wash the car and not do any paint corection on a regular basis like once a week or so? As you can see i have never started my own business and quit frankly it scares the crap out of me but i have found something i love and would like to persue it. Any advise would be helpfull thanks in advance
  2. I have a friend that has a Budweiser Shootout corvette, you will see in the picture. We were talking a couple of weeks ago and he mentioned it is hard to wax it because of the decals. i was telling him how great Adams is when he stopped me and asked if they had anything that would not leave a white line around all his decals???? Does Adams have something he can use or does anyone have any tricks on how to detail this car??? He said he has some stuff that doesnt leave the line but as always i want everyone to use Adams.....
  3. Tell Adam to bring Ashley to Carlisle so i can get a picture with her Now that would be good customer service
  4. ya know have never even looked that close at the paperwork i always have to get rid of it real quick before the wife see's it My next one should say something about a divorse lawyer cause if i buy anything more im gonna need it.
  5. Dont egg him on with all the laughing Thats what i was going to try next.... i noticed they have a spray can or scotchguard you can put on yourself.
  6. Wow that turned out nice, i have a buddy with a newer baja.... i need to show hom this. I wount charge him much if it was me i would try and get back the money i spent in materials and maybe 50 bucks for my time. Maybe he has some boating friends that want you to do their boats and you charge them more
  7. My wife has a 07 toyota solara... she has the sport edition with some real nice looking seats in it. The problem is they are cloth seats and if it is raining and they get rained on at all they leave real bad spots that do not come off. Has anyone heard of this and if so how do we fix it? I cleaned the seats with some Adams carpet and upholstry cleaner and it went away for a few days but came back???? i cantake pics when she gets home if that helps you guys.
  8. This is going to sound crazy but i noticed last night that when i was doing a waterless wash on my tuck it seemed that i was getting a small static feeling as i was wiping it down, almost like it destaticing ( is that a word?) it. This mornign i got in and noticed dust all over the hood but as soon as i hit the highway it was all gone.... i love this stuff it is like more magic from Adams.
  9. WOW that sucks.... if the person im rooming with doesnt mind you can bring a sleeping bag and sleep on the floor in our room. Since i dont even know where we are staying i cant make ya any promises. Im in the hotel business and a hotel has to be pretty bad off to close the doors right before a huge event like this. That is just amazing to me that something like that would happen.
  10. Yeah im excited. I hope i can come to the party, think it will be cool to bring my friends?? Yeah im bigger then most everything around me thats why Adam should send me a couple free shirts, im better then a billboard I cant wait for the vendors im taking the seats out of my 99 and bringing them with me to see if i can get them recovered or find another set at the swap meet I just PM'd but didnt put the number in it, i will shoot you another one. 12. Well i would like it but i dont have anything to trade That thing would be sweet for getting into the lower part of the windshield on the vette. Do you take cash? Maybe paypal?
  13. Looks good, i had mine tinted a week after i got the truck Great lookin Jeep
  14. Sweet ride welcome to the forum, we cant get to many vettes here
  15. Yeah you need a tripod for sure some of those pictures actually came out kinda cool though Its always hard to take a good night show, what kind of camera are you shooting?
  16. Put it on top for now. When you feel like you are ready for a clay and a full detail skip the Zaino and go with the Adams stuff. Zaino is a good product but man is it hard to work with. Shhhh dont tell anyone but my vette has about 13 coats of zaino under all the Adams and it shines like you wouldnt believe. In the fall i am doing a full clay and detail and there will no longer be any zaino in my garage
  17. Dang i was hoping you were the chick
