@falcaineer if we are speaking about masking the coating, technically those graphene products will also mask the performance of the base layer coating with their own protection.
@MoeD you can use slick & slide on any coating. B&B blending sells this as slip stream among other names which contains SiO2 which is a common ingredient in ceramic coatings.

Would something like dawn and prep spray work for a decon wash?
Dawn as a strip wash is a myth. It will not remove anything. You could try the Adams Strip Wash.

You can either start fresh and polish or do a good decon wash and reapply.
-
Have you given it a chemical decon wash? It could just be masked but contamination and mineral deposits. If you want to completely remove it then polish, panel wipe and reapply.

That polishing more than likely already removed it. Give what is mentioned a try and then apply a wax or sealant.
-
A photo would help.

One layer is good enough as long as you got even coverage. The second layer would be more for even coverage than additional durability.
-
The spray coating will have to be removed so the true coating can bond to the bare painted surface.

@falcaineer Is it worth the extra effort to get a new 60ml bottle of coating vs the spray?
Yes especially if you are taking the wheels off. The actual coating will out perform the spray as it is more durable. The spray coating is more of a sealant even though Adams calls it a coating. It does not last long in my experience using all variations of the spray coating.
-
Good luck. Eventually all that rubbing will degrade the coating. Abrasion is what will wear it away.
-
You have tried to remove it chemically and as I mentioned on the other form you are at the point that it needs to be polished off. I can understand you don't want to but that is the quickest fix and the surest fix. Careful polishing the headlight to not remove the OEM coating. Polish it lightly by hand.
-
Did you apply the coating yourself?
-
You don't need to use boost so soon. You would be fine just using the graphene detail spray as often as you like after the first wash.
-
It could be a high spot. Some of those pictures look like it is the beginning signs of clear coat failure. The second photo sure looks like it.

From my experience both versions don't last as long as the claim on the site or bottle on a daily driver. The first version about 4 months max and the advanced about 8 months max and that is pushing it. If you want the durability then you will need to top it often or go to the actual coating.

Those are sanding mark pig tails. Was it wet sanded by machine?

It is ok to apply to matte/satin finishes. Won't add gloss but it will give it a rich and deeper appearance.
-
It won't strip ceramic. From my experience it does not strip a wax or sealant unless it is very old.

Very simple. Panel wipe and apply the spray coating. It will not alter the appearance of the vinyl or any other area of the car.

Polishing then applying Graphene Ceramic Spray over 7year Graphene Coating

Perform a decon wash and evaluate the coating. If it is still performing pretty well and you don't want to polish you can use the spray coating to buy you some time until you are ready to start over.
