SJC96GT reacted to Dylan@RUPES in Minimum Panel size for a Rupes 15
No real way to answer other than "if it fits you can polish with it". Obviously you want a good percentage of the pad in contact, and you wouldn't want to work on an edge or feature that would stop/stall pad rotation.
If you're really looking for a small area polisher the lhr75e mini is probably worth a look, or the nano which will be hitting he market next month.

SJC96GT reacted to butters in 2 Bucket Rinseless Wash
I do this as well, but it can be tedious so I bought a handful more towels to be more relaxed about it. My daily is black so I won't be doing a 2-bucket type rinseless either. I can complete it with less than a gallon of distilled/rinseless wash solution, plus whatever I use for pre-soak.

SJC96GT got a reaction from Abraham5G in Modified Rinseless Process... Thoughts?
I've used a similar method where I spray the car off at the local pay 'n spray to get any dirt and gunk off the car. Take it home park it in the garage then heavily pre-soak the entire car with diluted rinseless. Afterwards, I start the entire rinseless wash never drying the car until car is completely rinseless washed. Haven't had any dry spots and if any arise while doing the wash, I just take the Kwazar Venus sprayer and mist the diluted rinseless on that part of the car. After drying the car, I'll sometimes do panel by panel with detail spray just for an added glossy finish. Works great and seems to speed the process up a little more.

SJC96GT reacted to WS6 in Very impressed by beading action
Absolutely.... And that right there says alot about you and your company... Adam himself on the forums! I love it!
Back in April it was clayed, two step polish was done, followed by liquid paint sealant, Brilliant glaze and Americana. Maintained by H20 gaurd and gloss, and quick detailer. I mean I have never seen water fly off a vehicle like that before!

SJC96GT reacted to Team Adam's in One-sided conversation
HAHA. A new neighbor who moved in a few weeks back did something similar - came over mid detail and said:
"Those buffers things will really screw up your paint. My buddy owns a body shop and showed me that they cause all kinds of scratches"
To the guys defense he had no idea who I was or what I do for a living when he walked over.... when I showed him my paint he pretty much soiled himself at which point I made him swear to never listen to his 'buddy' again in matters of paint care and restoration. I'll be polishing out his Porsche Cayenne in a couple of weeks LOL

SJC96GT reacted to Team Adam's in Added a Raptor to the fleet
Picked up this bright red monster yesterday. 2012 Super Crew with the 6.2L. Was a single owner truck and only had 21,xxx on the clock. Fully loaded with all the options I wanted -
Heated/Cooled Seat
Dual Zone Climate Controls
Front/Rear View Camera
Navigation with SYNC
Sunroof
Sliding rear window
Just driving it home yesterday and to the office this morning has already got me smiling from ear to ear - its just a monster plain and simple! Rides fantastic on the streets and I may or maynot have ripped it thru a few open fields so far to test the offroad capabilities
Interior was pretty much spotless - gave it a quick TID wipe down and leather conditioner treatment yesterday. Over the next few days I'll be doing a full paint correction and detail. Still debating if it gets the most current coating prototype - we'll see. I'll update the thread as the detail progresses.

SJC96GT got a reaction from StubStang in Car covers for a car parked outside
Check out americanmuscle.com they have car covers specifically for certain years that are custom fitted. I have purchased one from them and it's great! My car is garage kept all the time but I bought a indoor/outdoor cover just in case it would happen to sit out a night or two.

SJC96GT reacted to Chewy in Deep Wheel Cleaner let down.
I use deep cleaner once a year, in the spring. THAT'S IT! I have NO need for it any other time of the year.
I commonly use Adams Car Shampoo diluted in a spray bottle, but will use APC if I have a greasy or oily wheel.
IMO, DWC is MUCH too expensive to use every time I wash and it's not needed in my instance.

Yes I am! Would love to stop getting salt all over my car after I wash it

SJC96GT reacted to ForceofWill in How many towels for Rinseless Wash?
I'd say 6 is a safe bet as well. Roof, Hood/Bumper, Side, Side, Trunk, Rear. Depends how long your car is for the sides though.

19) It bugs you when people say they "Polished" their car but all they really did was wax it.

SJC96GT reacted to Team Adam's in Adam's Car Wash Foam Gun & New Shampoo in Action
Theres been lots of requests for some more video footage of the foam gun in action, but weather hasn't been exactly conducive to filming car washes lately. Finally winter decided to give us a break so we ran out side on a nice warm day to capture the foam gun in action - enjoy!

SJC96GT reacted to Team Adam's in NEW! Purpose Labeled SOAP & RINSE Buckets
Its the simple things in life that make the biggest difference sometimes. Is our bucket program broken or flawed? Not really, but a suggestion from a customer sparked this idea.
Admit it - at one point or another we've all been in the middle of the wash and forgotten which bucket was the soap and which was the rinse. Once you get some suds into that clean water bucket it can be hard to tell sometimes. NOT ANYMORE!
Starting today you can specify SOAP or RINSE on your bucket purchases and all 2-bucket kits will come with 1 of each standard. Don't want a 'use specific' label - no worries! The standard DETAIL KIT label is still available.

SJC96GT got a reaction from red94chev in Garage dimensions
Good point, I'm going to see if I can add 3-4 ft to it which should help.
