Great work on the house, things are coming along nicely for you!

I also have to agree on the breaker, I can ask my neighbor who is an electrician as to specifics but if you are actually using 90 amps for ANYTHING I would be exceedingly shocked.

Entire houses used to have 100amp services and have heat hot water and all that stuff so if they tell you the system requires it ask where they are getting the info.

Speaking of electrical info, there should be a tag SOMEWHERE on the unit that describes its electrical usage and supply needs. If you could post some pics of the furnace we might be able to help some more. Also is it an all electric furnace or do you also have gas or oil supply to it?

and for some Math fun for all you math geeks out there. 90amps at 240V (assuming it is a double pole breaker) with a power factor of 1 (its old so not efficient) gives us a ratting of 21.6kW, now we assume that the furnace is going to run for around 5 hours per day, which would give you 108 kWh PER DAY. For reference and we are big electrical users due to my other hobbies with a Well pump and my wifes regular cooking we are typically around a total of 800-850 kWh's per MONTH. Just by these numbers something seems VERY off here. The solution of merely installing a larger breaker because the previous one wsa tripping should not be done, the breaker trips for one of two reasons, the breaker is failing or the unit is failing, one way or the other something is wrong that upsizing the breaker will not solve, only potentially make worse. Your electrician should inform you of alot of things when he is there, take good notes and do your homework before fully trusting him.

I would have to agree with Jim. I use the Glass Cleaner quite sparingly, 1-2 quick sprays per window, and it gives me nice clean windows with no streaking. I still have a 1/2 gallon of the old formula because it lasts so long for me.

I haven't tried diluting Glass Cleaner, but if you decide to experiment with it, I would strongly suggest using distilled water only to dilute it.

How much? All depends on how much you put on the applicator. If you're going to polish by hand you will go through more product but you'll still be able to do many, many vehicles with just one 16 ounce bottle of both polishes.
Yes, you can just buff off the revive residue as you go and be good to apply Adam's LPS without another wash. Often I will wipe the vehicle down prior to application of my LSP with WW to help make sure all polish residue has been removed.

I would strongly suggest, if doing this by hand, you start in a small area and work the PCP followed up with the Revive Hand Polish to see what you're in for.

I use it to dust my wood furniture. On counter tops, appliances etc. it doesn't have anything harsh to hurt plastic or metal surfaces.

I also use it to do wipedowns on the interiors of my cars for quick interior detailing, leaves a nice scent inside!

Perfect statement Dan. If you need the vac and dont have a huge budget the rigid will probably be great, if you have the money def a metrovac would be better.

While "black and shiny" are the first things I look for when buying anything, I will say that I do prefer the MetroVac over the two Ridgids and the Craftsman shop vac that I also have.

The hose on the MetroVac is smaller diameter (1-1/4") which makes it a little easier to get in and around the interior.  I also have the Craftsman Pro hose (basically the same as the Ridgid) and it is bigger (1-7/8") and not as flexible.

The suction with the MetroVac seems a bit more than the Ridgid.  I could not find much for suction specs on the Ridgids, other than the $350 RV2400HF that lists 80" of water lift, and the MetroVac has 95".

Whether the MetroVac is worth the extra money over a Ridgid comes down to personal preference.  It is not twice as good, for more than twice the price, so if you're on a budget, the Ridgid does the job.

Personally I do the LPS and use buttery on top as I find that going out and giving my truck a wipe down is very relaxing, so Ill give it either a rinseless or waterless wash regularly and quite often will fell the desire to shine it up so I will apply another layer of buttery wax.

Is the LPS and H2O better? I keep hearing yes, but for ME I enjoy the time with the Truck.

Jim that's where I started at, I thought if I asked about my particular vehicles and possible few side jobs I might get more concrete info to make a choice. Now I have thrown the flex into the mix lol so the choice gets muddier.

pirahnah3 reacted to Dan@Adams in Waterless wash towels for rinseless wash?
For doing a full Rinseless Wash with a 5 gallon bucket on a moderately dirty vehicle, I would not recommend to use the blue waffle weave towels. I prefer using our Double Soft Towels because of how thick and plus they are, because that allows more of the slick Rinseless solution to stay soaked up into the towel as you are wiping down the vehicle. The Borderless Gray, our old Borderless Blue, and our new orange microfiber towels will work well too since they are nice and plush.

If you have the Rinseless Wash diluted down into a 16oz spray bottle as a detail spray to wipe down a dusty or slightly dirty vehicle, in that case it would be ok to use the waffle weave towels for cleaning the vehicle.

I spoke with Dan recently via text to see if I could just get some new lids for my buckets, I've had them for a year, and between Reese's Cups and Good Humor Ice Cream Bars, I can't get under 220 lbs.

So they have a few cracks in the lids.

Dan actually offered to send me 2 new buckets!
I couldn't accept. I have sat on these countless hours in the last year, often with a polisher in my hand and a Reese's in my mouth!

Remember that Adams offers great customer service, don't take advantage of it unless it's a valid reason!! That way they will be able to continue to do so. Honesty is always the best policy!

IMO Spray Wax is such an obsolete term for products and Adams line most definitely does not need one.

Detail Spray is a great shine enhancer on its own, alternatively, you could wipe Brilliant Glaze on the car real quick at the show panel by panel, and then give 1-2 spritzes of Detail Spray on the panel to wipe away the haze, and you just gave yourself a super shine combo that will KILL any "spray wax" sold elsewhere
