  1. There is something satisfying about getting out both buckets, tools, hose, etc. and doing a good 2 bucket wash. That being said, there are times when rinseless and GDWM is just plain easier and quicker. Heck, keep it clean enough and waterless is even quicker and does a good job under the right conditions. I use all 3, but find myself using waterless or rinseless more and more.
  2. I bought 2 wall mount shop vacs on a Black Friday sale last year. One for each side of the 3 car garage
  3. I like the "dry" method as I can apply after waterless or rinseless wash, in the garage at any time of year.
  4. All of my waterless wash towels are unraveling to some degree, some worse than others, but don't have one (and I have 20) that isn't to some degree. It doesn't impact their performance, just not what I would expect from a premium towel. Since they still do their job, I'm not going to call about them, just gradually replace them with the new style, and relegate the fraying ones to less desirable duty.
  5. Waterless wash, interior detail, leather conditioner, VRT, clay to remove some tar (white vehicle), buttery wax of the 2014 Cherokee. Now getting ready for family July 4th cookout!
  6. Smells like green apple jolly rancher candy to me, not as nice a smell as original detail spray, but better to my nose than pumpkin spice.
  7. Welcome! Where in Illinois are you?
  8. Did you get any in your eye? Do you wear nitrile gloves while detailing?
  9. Have used detail spray and H2o together in very hot sunny, and cold cloudy weather, there is no way the combination could have caused this issue. I don't think any combination of Adams paint products could cause this.
  10. Buttery doesn't seem to build up and I have applied it every week before, when I just need garage time. It's good therapy.

And like everyone else has said, take your time. One more thing, from experience, wait until you are finished to open the beer. Or you will have to start over once the new decals get there.
  12. I still have some left in the garage fridge, just was wondering.
  13. Wife: why do you need that Adams foam thing when you have that foam cannon you bought last year. Me: you know how noisy the gas pressure washer is? Wife: I know and you start it so early in the morning when you wash the cars. Me: I know, and I don't want to disturb you or the neighbors any more in the mornings on the weekends, and the Adams foam thing works with just the hose! Wife: oh, why didn't you get it sooner if it doesn't make as much noise! And that was the reasoning I used after I got mine.
  14. Is patriot gone forever, or will it make a return around July 4th?
  15. Welcome to the forum and Adams products. As said by others, watch the videos, browse the forum and most of all-have fun detailing your car!
  16. Welcome, pretty soon you will have a nice inventory, and get upset when the vehicle gets dirty. It's a nice addiction, much better than some I can think of.
  17. I use the red applicator to apply, let it sit and buff with MF. First time I applied it looked uneven, but after a couple more times it evened out and now after a year, have no issues after application. I do wish the red interior applicator was shaped like the other foam hand applicators, would be easier to hold.
  18. I miss the clearance section as well, got burned a few time on eBay, not with Adams, but another company so I don't even visit it anymore.
  19. Just to clarify, wife's car was just in drive during rain, not driven and detail spray dry was all that was needed, if it had been driven, I agree with others that a true wash of some sort is needed.
  20. I just did same thing to wife's car, use detail spray and single soft towels, came out fine.
  21. The first time, actually few times, I used a machine to correct a car, I didn't get the results I wanted. Not because of misleading videos, not because of products, not the machine, BUT MY SKILL LEVEL at doing the job. One can't ride a bicycle like a BMX pro, of hit a golf ball like a PGA member the first time, it simply isn't possible. So why would one expect to get a show quality finish on a car by watching a video? I watched Adams videos and thought they were, and still are, very informative, but I realize the guy has polished more cars than I ever will and really knows his stuff. I was aware of my beginner skill level, and just kept practicing and refining my process and technique, using Adams videos as my goal result. Guess what, a couple of years later, and my cars are at the level I am happy with. I thank Adams videos as giving me a roadmap to follow, and Adams Company for offering the products and tools to get the results. Just my 2 cents worth.
