Just remember a black car is not just a job, but a career, but they do look spectacular when cleaned and shiny!

Look at the depth and shine in post #25 compared to #24. Nice work! Black cars are a pain but they look great when detailed.

    So there I was.....

I had remodeled our front bathroom, minus the shower.  Everything came out except the ceiling (although it was smoothed out to get rid of the popcorn), and was completely redone.  All that was left was to redo the shower....just waiting on the wife's final "design" to get it all done.  I had been out of town when she told me that one of the kids "might have messed up the shower..."  Confused, I asked for more clarification (1st mistake).  She told me one of the shelves of the side had just "fallen off" when the 2 little ones were taking a bath.  Wait for it....I asked "How did that happen?"  (2nd mistake).  She told me that they were playing with one of the loofah's and it got stuck on one of the towel holders (see pic below).  Try as they might, they pulled until it broke free....including the shower surround!  Apparently she (my 3 year old) also fell backwards and took out the shower curtain (I have the broken screws to prove it).  I said, "Ok, I'll fix it when I get home."  Upon arrival, I notice the crime scene has mostly been cleaned up.  Wife's first words were, "I'm sorry!"  I was able to get the surround back into place, thanks to a few screws to maintain structural integrity.  But, I'd had enough at that point.  I told her I was going to go with her most recent design, and I was going to install it that weekend.  She couldn't argue at this point, although she was unaware that didn't have all of the tools necessary to get the job done.

So here's how it started.  Note the "storage racks" on the side of the shower:

Then I had to completely remove everything:

My say in the design process was "nothing up high to cause any further damage"

So the final result ended up with a smooth look, and nothing too high to cause harm:

She couldn't argue anything, and I ended up with a tile saw, grinder and tile hole saw out of the deal.  And she got her bathroom finished, and no kids were injured in the process.  Win/win all around I suppose.

'That may buff out'... for real!

    From a previous writeup:

I spent some time with a co-workers car that had a parking lot scrape.

I clayed the area first.  Then used a 4" orange Focus pad and Paint Correcting Polish on a PC.  This after 3 passes over the area.

I made the mistake and asked my wife that one time.....never again.  Now I just use these instances as an excuse to buy more tools and supplies.

Steve_S reacted to Chris@Adams in Deep Wheel Cleaner only available in a kit?
Yes Wheel Cleaner is the replacement for the old DWC.

Adam's NEW Wheel Cleaner is the ultimate way to remove stubborn brake dust and metallic contamination from your wheels. The new, thicker formula clings to wheel surfaces and allows the european derived formula to melt away the stubborn brake dust commonly left behind by many of todays high-performance braking systems. The color changing formula lets you know its working, turning to a deep purple as it activates and does the hard work for you.
Best of all Adam's Wheel Cleaner is safe for most wheel finishes. So whether you have factory clear coated wheels, aluminum, or paint the highly effective cleaning solution will remove the stubborn brake dust, but won't harm your wheels. Saturate the wheel with Adam's Wheel Cleaner and allow the color changing formula to activate.
With active cleaning agents and advanced surfactants the formula is perfect for cleaning away the worst, most baked on brake dust commonly found in the barrel of your wheels. Simply spray on, allow the cleaner to activate, and then agitate using one of Adam's Turbo Sticks or Wheel Woolie Wheel Cleaning tools (sold separately).
Adam's Wheel Cleaner is great for more than just wheels too! Have a light colored paint job like white or silver? Then you've no doubt noticed the little orange iron particles that stick to your paint. Adam's Wheel Cleaner can be sprayed on these little trouble areas and used to dissolve the iron from these surfaces as well.
Adam's Wheel Cleaner is guaranteed to be the best wheel cleaner you've ever experienced!

NOTE: Adam's Wheel Cleaner, as with any wheel cleaner, should never be sprayed onto a hot surface. Always allow wheels to completely cool before cleaning. USE COMMON SENSE: If you will be using Wheel Cleaner for the first time on your wheels be sure to test in a small area first to check for any unusual or unexpected results. The active ingredient in Adam's Wheel Cleaner does produce a slight odor as its working. This is normal and will quickly dissipate.

Steve_S reacted to Dan@Adams in Is this normal for the Geoimpression Tool?
Hi Seth, did it come straight out of the jar like that or did that happen after use? It does not look normal to me. If you don't mind, please send an email to orders@adamspolishes.com explaining the issue, attach that picture, and we will get things taken care of for you

Edit: I should have clarified in my original post that it will not affect the performance of the Visco Clay by having a few sections of the Geoimpression Tool missing from the mold, but we are investigating this.

    Hey Adams Family -
I don't post much but I do lurk a lot and i just want to thank the community for all the great information that is shared here.  Here is the result of spending a few hours with my lady friend this weekend.  About a month ago i finished a full-on paint correction, glaze, LPS, wax job.

This weekend I used Deep Wheel Cleaner, Tire Shine, Undercarriage Spray, Rinseless Wash, Americana.  I followed up with some Interior Leather Cleaner and then Conditioner.

Her bottom smells like grape candy and her interior smells like wonderful leather.  You can't beat that!

Thanks all.  Keep up the good work.

Been a busy day! Installed a 2.5" leveling kit, new shocks, sway bar drop links, had it aligned, and got my new wheels and tires put on. Couldn't be more happy! Some minor trimming is needed for clearance but now I can start working on the rest of my mod list

The truck is filthy right now, better pictures will be coming once I have a chance to show her a little TLC.

Couple of tips.  Test the leather cleaner somewhere where you won't notice, and if you see any color bleed, dilute it before doing  your seats.  And once you're cleaned everything, then be SURE to use the conditioner to keep your seats, etc in the best shape.  You may notice some streaking when you apply it but don't worry. That just means that some parts of  your fabrics are dryer than others and have absorbed the conditioner quicker.  Just reapply and keep reapplying/wiping until it's uniform.  You can't hurt anything by putting more on.  You're going to love the results, especially over time.  Your seats will look as good in 3 years as they do new.

Hello everyone. I'm sure many of you have heard of the St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research. I'm currently trying to raise funds for my team and I'll be getting my head shaved on March 13 as part of the fun and charity fund raising.

I have very few actually steady customers that I detail for, but many many friends are aware of my detailing side jobs. I have a facebook page for it and I have been calling for people to contact me for washes and details. I have stated that prices are whatever they would like to donate and 100% of all money made will be donated. I'm aiming for $500. I have $100 so far.

I do this on Friday's and Saturday's on my off time. Any ideas to get more people coming? It's for a good cause!!

Thanks for any suggestions and help.

BTW, if you'd like to make a donation, follow this link:

This is one of the best products Adam's makes.  Been using it on my Vettes and daily drivers for years and years and my seats look great.  The smell is just like new car leather.  No grease, no shininess.  Just nice clean good smelling leather.
