After almost being completely over Bronchitis. I got out this evening and washed, clayed and sealed my sisters car. This car needs polished bad. In the spring it will be polished and coated. This was just to get it through the winter. I first did a pre rinse to knock off all the non bonded dirt. Next I used Adam’s foam gun and foamed the car down to loosen the bonded contaminants. Rinsed again, and then did my 2 bucket wash. After washing, I rinsed the dirt and soap away. Foamed the car again to act as my clay lubricant and began claying the car. Dried with the old style Adam’s drying towel. Which basically just pushed the water around. I guess the temps made it more difficult with drying. Used my Rupes 15mm MKll and Adam’s grey foam pad to spread the non Adam’s sealant. Let it cure for 30 minutes and then wiped off with a single soft towel. Wheels were also sealed with a spray style sealant.

Thanks guys. I corrected the drivers side fender to see what it would look like. It turned out great. This thing should clean up nice in the spring when I correct the paint and coat it.

Washed and waxed this today and a light interior detail. The sun killed the pic. Americana Wax had this silver looking dripping wet though.

You just asked for a ton of information to say the least.  The Adam's coating is similar to any other nano coating.  The coatings are what creates the super hydrophobic effect on your paint as well as providing protection.

Let's clear something up though, no ceramic coating (I don't care what they claim) is indestructible.  It can, and will get scratched.  That being said, it is harder to damage than the clear coat on your vehicle.  Being that it it's a thin coating, it will wear off with time.  There are contaminants all around in the environment and they are abrasive.  Adam's coatings I believe claim 12-24 months of durability.  If you take care of it, it will last all of that and then some.  If you neglect it, it won't even last that long.

You won't want to use a polish on your car after it's coated.  Polishes are abrasive and doing so they will remove the coating.  Instead of waxing the coating, you'll occasionally use ceramic boost as a top agent.  This will help maintain the hydrophobic effect and protect the coating.

The biggest thing to stress is that the outcome of a coating lies largely in the prep.  Everything must be clean and polished to your satisfaction before you apply the coating.  Once the coating is on, it locks in anything that's there.  As a frame of reference, we always plan two days to do a coating.  We can get it polished and installed in a day (with two of us working on it), but it needs time to cure for final inspection and also to allow us more time for polishing before hand.  The coating process itself is pretty quick once you get it down.  The prep though, is where your time is spent.

Good answers from Mc2hill. I totally agree. This stuff will help me as I detail on the side. So far water is beading up nicely in the areas I polished. However freshly corrected paint will be somewhat hydrophobic. In my “tests” I have found this is slightly less aggressive that the Correction  polish as stated above. However when I paired it with the Microfiber cutting pad it removed some significant haze and scratches. I’m impressed with this product and I think it’s worth a buy. Even for a DIY person who wants to remove light haze and scratches from their personal vehicle. I think you can’t go wrong here. Pairing this product with a white or orange pad will give you great results, on any color.

Got a chance to try out Adams new polish today. As soon as I was finished it started raining lol. As always before polishing, I washed and clayed the surface with Adams clay. I then taped off a section of the roof on my daily that is very oxidized and scratched up. I used an Adam’s  MF pad, orange and then white pad. My machine is a Rupes 15mm MKll. I labeled each section above to make it easy to identify. It’s hard to tell in the pics but as I stepped down from most aggressive to the least aggressive pad. It started to finish down better, naturally. However, even with the MF pad it still finished down excellent on black paint. I only made 4 section passes on each section for a total of 1 pass per section if that makes sense lol. This stuff comes out of the bottle very easily so don’t squeeze it too hard, trust me I know lol. I noticed that it smells amazing also. I applied 4 drops on each pad and used similar arm speed on each section with minimal pressure. It seems to have a long working time and zero dust. And the smell you get while polishing is a nice bonus. When I went to wipe it off that’s where I was really amazed. One wipe and it came off. I’ve never used a polish or compound that removes this easy. Adams really knocked this one out of the park. I could easily see this  as my go to polish. Even on the white pad it still removed all the haze and most scratches. I’m super impressed. It’s hard to see in the pics because of bad lighting. But givin the cloudy conditions it’s the best I could do.
