    ANOTHER Shooting!

I heard about that. The more publicity we keep giving these guys, the more will seek it out by doing something worse. Don't have the answer, but we need to look at how other countries handle similar crimes and maybe adopt their punishments! Cause what we have here isn't working!

    Whatcha havin?

DUKE-Z Halushki is shredded cabbage, homemade noodles (like gnocchi) butter and onions and a little bit of fennel cooked together. Polish dish, but where I live there's a lot of Pols, Slovaks, and Germans, so there's some good eating around here. Halupki is meat and rice rolled in cabbage leaves with seasonings and tomato sauce or some people like it with sauerkraut. Another polish dish. WARDO- that's worth a flight to Phoenix!! MAN THAT LOOKS GOOD!! TIM- YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!

    ANOTHER Shooting!

It happened not far from my home this morning. A man went nuts and drove down the road, met up with a man and his son in law who were heading out for Christmas shopping and just shot them both to death. This guy then drove to a local church, looked into the window and saw a woman decorating the church and killed her as well. State troopers chased him in their cars, he opened fire on them and wounded three of the troopers who continued on despite their injuries until they stopped and killed the gunman. One trooper received a bullet wound to his wrist and face, another glass in his eyes and a gun wound, and another was shot twice in the chest but had his protective vest on. To me, these officers are true heroes. They saved any number of lives today. What this man's motives were behind the shootings is unknown, but the town it happened in is more of a hamlet it's so small. There is literally only one road through the town. Guess it can happen anywhere. But to anyone here who is a police officer, state trooper, or involved in law enforcement,.........THANK YOU!

    Mount Everest

Pretty cool. I'd like to know what that long line of colored flags or colored clothes is that runs behind the yellow tents. Interesting. Never mind, I was just scrolled in too far. It's flags............all over camp.

    Parking like a champ

Yeah, that happens quite a lot these days. Eh, it happens.
  14. Someone will blame it on tv, someone will blame it on gun control, someone will say it's video game violence. Everyone will have an opinion, but it comes down to a man with mental illness who didn't get or didn't want the help he needed. It was senseless, nobody could have seen it coming or prevented it. He snapped. In a perfect world, we would all be trained to identify the signs and report it to the proper people who would in turn help the afflicted person before tragedy. But this sure isn't a perfect world. I don't understand it. I can't comprehend his thoughts. And I pray I never have a day where I'll experience what those parents are going through. All we can do is pray for the families to get the help THEY need now and in the months to come. And love our own kids a little bit more and with a little bit more patience.
  15. Congratulations Chris! Sounds like this one is going to be full of surprises. Best wishes to you and your family. You're going to have one special Christmas this year.
  16. Great job! My brother just picked up a new Equinox as well and is very happy with it. I really like that color you got. :2thumbs:
  17. There are no words. No one from there will ever read what we write. They most likely won't see all the prayers or condolences on Facebook. There is nothing any of us can do except take our own children into our arms and hug them and get on our knees in prayer to God that it never happens again to any family, any country, anywhere. And to thank God that our children and grandchildren are still with us tonight. My heart and my wife's heart are both heavy tonight. We have a five year old and a 2 year old grandkids. They are the lights of our lives. To lose either one would be unbearable. We will pray tonight for the families of all who lost someone today, and pray that some kind of good comes from it. Senseless and sad.
