  1. I'm new this also, but I would recomend watching the winter prep video.

I'm a huge fan of the paint sealer and maintain with h2o guard & gloss, great shine and water beads right off the surface. Can top with brillant glaze for extra depth

:iagree: (Evan beat me to it since he posted while I was typing)

I'd also recommend you watch the Adam's Daily Driver video, In addition, here's a pretty simplified step-by-step. I'm sure I missed some things others may recommend, but that's half the fun...in the end, you'll likely develop your own order and preferences. Feel free to use or modify these, as you see fit.

    At any time: Interior detail

  2. You're welcome, Adam! I just started using your products in 2016 on Norton's (Steve's) advice, and I must say it's truly a pleasure to be a beneficiary of such a customer-focused organization. You and your team have your priorities straight.

I look forward to making a trip up I-25 to visit and, hopefully, shake your hand and get to say thanks in person.

Here's to 2017 and a year of no swirls!

  3. Do you have to use the red hex applicator or can you use the blue or yellow one? I did buy the microfiber pad but think a hex applicator might be easier.

The PS isn't meant to remove any blemishes or swirls, so you'll want to use a soft applicator like the red or yellow, or the grey pad on a machine. The blue will probably be a little too "harsh," for lack of a better term.

  4. :welcomebanner:

    Welcome to the addiction, Tom!

From one USAF guy to another, congrats on your retirement! I have just over 2 years to go till I can do the same. My fist assignment was Seymour Johnson, so I used to drive through Mebane on my way back home to WV. I really liked NC, especially all the golf!

And with all your new toys, don't forget to post a picture of your collection here.

  5. I would suggest applying PS and using H2O G&G every few months. That should give you 6 months of protection, and no layering needed.

Agreed with Michael. That's the regiment I'm following, as well. In fact, I skipped polishing all together this time since its a pretty new car and didn't need it.

You should be able to apply and remove the PS in less than an hour, and the HGG will give you the protection boost and added shine for months.

Something else to factor in is cost. While awesome, HGG is not the cheapest product, and with the size of your new truck, you'll probably go through it pretty quick. By having the PS base, though, you may be able to extend the life of your supply because you won't feel as compelled to apply it religiously. Something you may be thankful for in the winter months.

  6. Anyone have any of the holiday stickers to trade? I am specifically looking for the ones that looked to have a snowflake pattern in the red and the santa hat

    as seen here

    http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/21842-official-mystery-box-thread/?p=499804

Me, too. Have a few that I can trade and will post a pic of soon...

Also looking for the CO flag, but I think there's an earlier request that has precedence...so make me #2 in line if that request still stands...

  7. LSP?? lol I am new here.  and MBs?  I have a 14 Camaro SS 1LE and it is running some carbon ceramic HF pads.

    Check this out... http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/4903-adams-acronymsabbreviations/

    Liquid Paint Sealant = LPS

MB = Mystery Boxes or Master Blaster.

Yes, sorry, meant Liquid Paint Sealant (I think the new abbreviation is P-S...no dash) and Mystery Box, based on this updated abbreviation list: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/31826-acronym-expansion/. While I just got the Sidekick for Christmas, the Master Blaster is out of my range right now, too.

I'm guessing your pads will generate more brake dust than your average daily, so the WC may be needed more often.

  8. So we are not supposed to use the wheel cleaner every wash??

You can, but you may be throwing money out the door. I was using it every wash, too, but have backed off to only use it when absolutely necessary, i.e., brake dust built up that I can see. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the WC, and it certainly works as advertised, but my rate may (probably?) now have something to do with our current DDs. My old Audi created brake dust like crazy, but our Kias and Nissan, not so much. After I apply LPS to the wheels, I'm guessing that will likely also make use of the WC that much less frequent. But hey, that just leaves more to spend on other products (and knowing me, MBs!) in the interim!
