  1. In a light hearted way, I want to than Adam Pitale for my general case of auto detailing OCD. Ever since I started using Adam’s products, along with the excellent results I’ve achieved, I find myself spending hours on end finding little details that I might have missed or something I can do to improve my 2 BMW’s appearances. Case in point……in the mornings, I’ve have my morning coffee in the garage and sit and enjoy the early morning cooler temperatures here in Las Vegas and all of a sudden…..”Oh look, I missed a spot.” So here I go! Working on that little detail that really didn’t mean much, but I’d do it anyway. Again in the early evenings when it gets dark, I turn on my led garage lights and “Oh I need to polish or wax that area again”. Always something to keep me busy. Now I will admit that I have the cleanest, shiniest, smooth as silk black BMW X3 and Silver Metallic 640i in town. They are so nice; I hated to drive them because they’d get dirty. Then again, I’d need something to do in the garage, so why not….LOL So with my light hearted rambling here, a true “Thank You” Adam for a great line of auto detailing products. I wish your company success in the coming years.
  2. Me hard at work crossing the Atlantic for the first time back a few years ago....I'm the guy on the left and my check airman is on the right.
  3. Trevor and Brian…to answer your questions, No and No. I did was the Adam’s white Double and Triple Soft towels with other that were colored. However, the colored towels were washed about 3 or 4 times before and I would have thought there would be no color bleeding when I washed all the towels together. Well, I guess that wasn’t the case. Looks like I’ll have to wash the Adam’s towels all by themselves as to keep the color somewhat white.
  4. If you can't polish them out, you'll have to replace the film. I had the same problem years ago on another car and was able to get 90% of them out with a heavy grade polish. The 3M films are the worst for this type of problem. It's a pain, but you have to keep on top of the bug smashes and small chips after driving a while. You can't let them sit for more than a day or two.
  5. It's really no big deal but after my first washing of my Adam's Double and Triple Soft towels, as you can see from my pic attachment, there's a slight degree of dis-colorization. I had 7 white towels that I used, pre-soaked with ADAM'S MICROFIBER REVITALIZER and then washed with my other microfiber towels. Even though the other towels had been washed numerous times (shouldn't bleed over) this was the result. Like I said, it's no real big deal. I really do love these towels for their softness. Maybe Adam's can sell a color version of the Double and Triple Soft towels....Hint...Hint. Gray or Black would be nice. Adam's does have the borderless version in gray (Korean microfiber) that I just love too......
  6. Thanks, I'll try the hair blower heat and a soft toothbrush method and I'll let you know how that went.
  7. Over the years of detailing my cars, I’ve always used a quality microfiber towel and pads for adding and removing waxes, sealants, etc. I’ve only purchased microfiber towels that were over 500 GSM. On line at Amazon, I’ve always found a good quality seller with a good quality towel. (so I thought) From Amazon, I found the Adam’s Double and Triple soft towels for a better price that was listed on the Adam’s Web Site. So I went for it…..being an Adam’s fan. Boy oh Boy, I’ll never use another towel except the Adams Single, Double and Triple soft towels. These things are amazing soft! With the fiber content being from Korea, (which is way better than the towels from China) these towels are outstanding. Last week I ordered a Mystery Box and included inside was a Borderless Grey Edgeless Towel along with a Single Soft Towel. OMG……perfect! If the price of the Grey Edgeless Towel would come down a buck or two, I’d stock up on those puppies. I will never touch my car with anything but an Adam’s Microfiber Towel.
  8. Anybody know how to get dried up leather conditioner from the air holes in heated seats? The previous owner of the car must have let some leather conditioner dry on the seat without wiping up the access. I’ve tried to take Adams’ Leather Conditioner and a small brush to try to dissolve and remove the old conditioner from the holes. Didn’t work that good. Any ideas? If you look at the attached pic, you'll see what I mean. Opps....I posted this in the wrong Forum area. Should be in the Interior area.......Sorry! It's a middle age thing. Thanks to all.......
  9. Chris, The trim is in pretty good shape so I don't need the Trim Coating. Just a good coat of VRT. Thanks
  10. Chris, For the door moldings, yea that's what I'd do. However I do have rubber around the window framing that I'd need to use the swabs. As for the doors, I'd just use a mico pad and wipe it down. Thanks
  11. I'm pretty sure that you can, but anybody use VRT on the door and window molding trim? Work OK? I bought 100 detailing swabs on Amazon for $8.00 exactly like the ones for sale by Adam's and was going to start my rubber cleaning and detailing.
  12. As a sad posting, I lost my boy to cancer of the spleen that ruptured and bled internally. We couldn't do anything for him except give him to God. His name was Logan and he was 11 years old. He will be surely missed.
  13. Just wondering, if there were any Adam's customers in Las Vegas, NV. I was also looking for some "Cruise In's" locally to check out some neat autos.
  14. Thank You Adam's....I just received my very first Mystery Box. Funny, I know you guys pack them with whatever, that's OK. Now I have doubles of the Americana Wax (so now I can wax my neighbors car too...LOL) and towels. I could always use the extra towels. Thanks again.....I do like the Mystery Boxes I hope they come around soon again. I'm like a little kid at Christmas.
  15. James, Both cars were striped washed with Adam's Strip Wash, then completely clay bared, and then the sealant applied. It's no big issue, I was just pointing out the price difference between the two products. Like I stated before, Adam's Paint Sealant is a great product. Along with others on the market, I was just cost evaluating them....that's all.
  16. FYI.....You can buy the Adam's Double Soft 6 pack on Amazon for $39.99 vs buying the same towels on the Adam's web site for $59.99. Triple Soft 6 pack on Amazon $49.00 vs $69.00. What's up with that pricing?
  17. Dustin and Trevor, Maybe I should clarify myself on this one. I (striped) washed both cars, on my BMW 640i I applied Adam’s Paint Sealant and on my BMW X3 I applied the Wolfgang Paint Sealant the same day. Over time and the car washings, I noticed that the beading action and surface texture (smoothness) on my X3 was better than my 640i. I guess my point was that both Adam’s and Wolfgang (which is actually Menzerna in a different bottle) are excellent sealants. It was just a point of pricing for each sealant. Not a real big deal, but I just like the biggest bang for the buck and with Adam’s you’re paying a premium for the product.
  18. I hate to admit to this, (I do like a majority of Adam's products) but after applying the Adam’s Paint Sealant to my BMW 640i, I have washed my baby 3 times in the past months. (Note: Purchased Adam’s Paint Sealant 8oz. for $19.99) I also washed my BMW X3 three times also during the same time span after applying Wolfgang WG550 16oz Paint Sealer within a day or two of sealing my 640i. (Note: Purchased on Amazon $29.77) OK, let’s do the math….. If I purchased 2 bottles of Adam’s sealant, (to equal 16oz) I would spend $39.98 plus shipping. Whereas if I purchased the Wolfgang WG5500 Paint Sealant, (16oz bottle) I would spend $29.97 with free shipping. I hate to say it but the Wolfgang sealant lasted longer (water beading) than the Adam’s sealant, but not by much. Both were easy to apply and remove. Now I’m looking at the cost. I’m not a penny pincher, but looking at the longevity vs cost…..I do think Adam’s would need to cut a buck or two off the cost of the 8oz bottle to be competitive. The Adam’s Paint Sealant is a good product; I have no real complaints except for the minor cost issue.
  19. Like everyone else here on the Forum, I tried, experimented with a majority of the products out there. I happened to come across Adam’s on Amazon. Read the reviews, went to the Adam’s web site and thought I’d try some of their products. OK, I’m 98% hooked on Adam’s. I still use Chemical Guys Synthetic Detail over the Adam’s version. I emailed my opinion of the 2 products and Nathan in Customer Service was very professional with his reply. (Great sales tool) I’m not one of those “Brand Loyalists”, but Adam’s is becoming my favorite and I think over time they will get a majority of my business in the future. I do like the Video’s that Adam puts out. They are product specific and very helpful. Thanks Adam!
  20. Just be careful around the edges so you don't get any extra product stuck under/around the edges of the film! I use painters Blue tape and tape off the edge of the Clear Bra before I add the wax. That seems to do the trick of keeping the excess was from getting under the edge. Thanks folks for all your replies........................
  21. RETIRED Air Cargo Pilot. I have lots of time for keeping my cars clean. Anybody out here in Las Vegas?
  22. I just had a clear bra installed on my 2015 BMW 640i. The detail shop that installed it said that I should uses a clear bra cleaner and sealant that comes from the manufacturer. If I use Adam's Americana Wax instead, will the wax wash off after the first washing since the wax isn't coating the paint surface? In other words, will the wax adhere to the clear bra and not wash off?
