Well I got a Swirl Killer Mystery Box. That was pretty sweet! However for actual Christmas, I got the Glass Master Pro which is something I've been wanting to make cleaning windshields (front and rear) easier

the sidekick is not really intended to dry the whole car. It really to get the water out of the nooks and crannyz. But....if u work it right u can dry most of the car it just takes a little more time. I use a sweeping action similar to what u would use to wash the dirt off your driveway using a hose . I kinda watch the drops and push them off the car rather than trying to dry them up. I never use even a 1/4 bottle of spray to clean up the remaining spots . I little technique will go a long way .
As for the pad, I don't use em nd from reading about these micros swirls I never will . I don't care if it the bottom of the car or not ,nothing that scratches my finish in any capacity will touch my car. I have a nice Chanelle Mitt I'm happy with anyway .

I wanted to put my 2 cents in on the new Adam's Swirl Killer:

For the past few months I've been using/beta testing this machine and have performed numerous mulit-stage paint corrections with it. I am a professional detailer.  You can find pretty much every machine made in my arsenal.

    Some observations:

The Swirl Killer is well made.  It has a very nice 'feel' to it.  It is very balanced.  The vibration(s) are much less than the PC or Griot's PC type machines.  It is a 15mm long throw...this assists in 'faster' correction on a larger work area.  The power cord is very long and useful; I did not even need an extension cord to work around an average sized vehicle.

Power:  Plenty!  That being said, the long throw polishers have a tendency to 'stall' on curves.  You will experience this with this machine as well...you will need to learn and adjust your technique accordingly to overcome this and keep correcting/polishing.  I found myself running it on speeds 4+ for the heavy correction portion and then lower speeds for my final polishing.

Noise:  not bad for a polisher!  And I was running it in the upper speeds/wide open for some time.

Yes, it is made in China.  No, I do not consider that a major negative.  For the price it's an extremely capable machine and to me seems/works/feels like a 'professional' model. The 1 year warranty would not be an issue for me either.  For the targeted audience (non-professionals), I feel that the Swirl Killer is an excellent value to step up your detailing game with a 15mm long throw machine.

    Jordan,

After years of owning and using a number of polishers, I can attest the vibration of the PC and the torque of the Flex are extreme detractors for me. I still have both, and I still value them as they are good in many ways, but I find myself using them for more specific purposes and not as often. With that being said, this new polisher appears to be one that will be smooth and ultimately easier on you physically. It took a post by Dylan for me to realize really how much smoothness and ease of use matters. That's why I use the smoother machines I own far more frequently these days. Fighting my polisher is no longer enjoyable. Trust me, if you had to do a lot of work with the PC and potentially some of the others offered by competitors, you would have some serious fatigue in your hands and just in general. Polishing should be enjoyable.

The major difference is that the SKP is a long-throw polisher, it has 15mm of orbit whereas the other polishers you referenced all have 8mm orbits (7.9mm for the PC), which is about half.

Generally speaking, the larger orbit of the SKP means it has more correcting power, since the pad is moving twice the distance across the surface of your paint each time that it orbits.

I have not used the GG6 or the MT300, but the difference in handling between the SKP and the PC7424XP is significant.  The SKP has much less vibration.  It runs solid and is easy to control.

Okay may I ask, in regards to this polisher, what would separate this polisher from other's. I am not trying to bring other competitors into the topic for the sake of just doing it but as someone who is a complete novice to machine polishes. Looking at the similar price range what would separate this from say, the GG6, the MT300, or the PC7424XP? They all seem relatively the same to me. Hoping to hear from Dan, Adam, or Wolf. BTW....just got my first Adam's shipment........OOOOO MUCH EXCITE

Wow very fair and well put thank you for your input. I certainly have no blinders on because I have yet to even use an Adam's product yet. However I literally just put a big investment into this company for almost the exact same reasons you outlined when you started. I can live somewhat with the made in China SKP deal now. It's not ideal but I can't be too critical when I live with many things not made in America. My bigger issue is 1 year warranty doesn't outwardly seem like Adam's is too confident in this product's durability and even more the often mentioned "110%". Obviously, 110% is only as good as a warranty can be held accountable. It feels like once that 365 day period is over, Adam's can by all means drop liability and support. That's not to say they will as their customer service is praised all over. However, on day 387, or day 999, I would like to hear we'll take care of you not, well, I'll tell you what, we'll cut you 50% discount on another one or something of that nature. I will say however, as someone who has never machine polished but is looking to start this product strikes me as very very strategically placed in the market. It doesn't seem to want to compete with the bigger dogs Cyclo, Rupes Bigfoot, at the same time it seems to be a step above the Griot's 6 inch and PC7424XP. Moreover, as someone who's been watching Junkman2000 and reading tons, I see so many people suggest the PC7424XP. Yet at the same time, I see many people selling them in what seems to say, I've outgrown this one and am now in need of a step up. I don't plan on detailing many more cars than just my own but at the same time don't want to find myself saying I want more from my polisher after just spending to get set up if that makes sense. I don't personally think I will ever make the jump to the A class polishers such as the Cyclo or Rupes but just my limited opinion. Thus, it puts the Swirl Killer in a class of it's own devoid of true competition and comparisons, perhaps making it seem more desirable.
