  1. No sir, it would not apply during drying, of course always use caution, make sure your towel is clean, I do at times go in different directions, but it would be safer to be methodical about it and go in straight lines. Key take away, is that most damage happens during the wash/dry process.
  2. A key point for WW’ing, is when wiping, always lift your towel, go in straights lines, flip towel after each swipe, never go back and forth, you will be smearing dirt and consequently scratching.
  3. Generally maintain Ceramic with Ceramic infused product and Glass Sealant with Glass Boost (these don’t contain Sio2) I play around with different options on my daily driver, to see what i like, or which one will or wont cause wiper chatter. But the above is the proper, short , and simple answer.
  4. I would maintain with CWW, I feel like boost is a little too streaky on windows, certainly worth experimenting with though. I personally like playing around with different combos, I’m actually about to put Glass Boost on my one windshield that has Spray Coating on it, and just see what happens, we have a good bit of rain coming here in the next week.
  5. That is an excellent plan, I absolutely love the sealant and boost combo
  6. Ok I’d start low, try DS or WW. Revive hand polish if non of that works windex should do it. The car looks really nice
  7. Do you have any Brilliant Glaze? If so, some of that, a thin layer, let it haze and buff off. Easy to use and should clear up the streaks
  8. Absolutely, I wasn’t explaining a process it was purely the difference’s in the physical bars, and why there are 3 of them
  9. Revive hand polish and the blue hex grip applicator for more stubborn water spots, works very well.
  10. I gotcha, Adam’s Ceramic Spray coating is really awesome and easy, lasts 6-8 months. He also has boost and a paste wax which are phenomenal products adding gloss and longevity. This picture is my old Tahoe after a wash and a layer of Brilliant Glaze, BG doesn’t offer any protection but I use to use it all the time to make it look like wet paint. (This was NOT coated)
  11. Nice whip, and it sounds like you will get along with all of us very well 😬👍 I am in Maryland and have my prized possession is ceramic coated(2019 Tahoe Premiere RST). The 2 dailys we own, I keep up on very well, my Silverado has spray coating on one side and on the driver side I have different stuff on each panel for experimental purposes. Do you have any experience with coatings?
  12. John when I saw you had a Tahoe, I read every post. Im on my 3rd Tahoe its a Summit White, w/ Black accents (no chrome) 2019 Premiere RST. When I got it last September, I washed it as soon as I got it home with Strip Wash, Iron Remover, then hit it with GnG. And about a month later I did a coating on it. Previous versions were 2008 Black 2016 Black Anyways, I love them and take the utmost care of them. Here is my process as I am 100% Adam’s compliant 😬 The Tahoe is ceramic coated 3 buckets, grit guards in them all, and the rinse bucket also has the wash board. Pressure wash off light dirt. Mega Foam entire vehicle set up buckets and start wheels and tires. When done wheels and tires, rinse entire vehicle. Foam a second time then start hand washing. Rinse again when all done. I blow dry 70-80% of the water off, including all hidden areas. Then finish drying with the ultra plush and one of the following Detail Spray or Ceramic Waterless or Ceramic Boost. This Tahoe is sort of my garage queen. It is reserved for nice days and long family trips. It is quick and a ton of fun! My daily is an 2001 Silverado and we use my wifes CRV for errands and closer family gatherings. There are 2 other Tahoe forums out there as well, I dont check them often, as I am on here daily. But certainly reach out if you need anything.
  13. Welcome, what kind of vehicles are we looking at? Pics always help. Also what state and level of experience? We would love to help!
  14. Congrats, Nice car. I would use iron remover, so you get as much crud off before claying, reducing chances of marring. Then I would use fine grade, you can also do the baggy test after IR, to see if anything is left on the surface. Surface Prep should in fact remove DS residue. And is a must before the ceramic Boost can be applied after it cures, I would wait at least 6hrs after application As a reference for Adam’s clay... LEAST AGGRESSIVE————————————MOST AGGRESSIVE Fine grade Medium Grade Visco
  15. I’ve never had it streak, but I’m also using it on white and grey, so it may be hidden. Like others said I have pretty much converted to Boost and Ceramic Waterless (just like a detail spray). Have a gallon and a few bottles of each. Pretty mandatory for us kinda folks, right😬😬🤷‍♂️
  16. No, wax...give that away or save for another vehicle
  17. Sweet rig! Love my GM’s! Welcome
  18. Great write up, Looks great, good music, and they have changed sprayers for those small bottles, I really like the new ones! Also...Dan taught me a trick with the sprayer on the Coating...use your fingernail to scrape away the tip and it unclogs it everytime! I’ve used mine like 4 times, did that each and good to go.
  19. Looks good! I’m to the point where I am polite but tell them “not to touch it, and in fact if they do, I walk out, no deal” the last part is just clarification so they know I’m serious.
