Amish R/T reacted to Nickfire20 in First time using Adams one step polish
I had great results with one step, I still used a protection afterwards. But it took my swirls out of Black Chevy paint.
I followed the instructions and used it with Orange pad first, then as a finishing step with the white pads.
I like it because it has more Sio2 than finishing polish.
I have all of Adam’s polishes, and use them, but this past spring I used the One Step by itself as mentioned above and loved the results.

You can “one step” a paint correction, but it’s usually just meaning you’re doing one step of polishing (correcting or finishing).
The one step product is an all in one product that allows you to do everything in a single step pretty much. But you’re making compromises with the product.
All in one products have their place, but they’re generally aimed at detailers or people who “detail for dollars.” We use an all in one in our basic service. It allows us to minimize time and get a result that’s acceptable for the majority of clients. Even then, we use a spray topper to gain some more durability.

If you can avoid it you never want to polish in direct sunlight. The heat on the paint surface can make it harder to remove the residue.
As as far as a one step product goes, it will never polish or protect as well as dedicated products. One step products are generally a compromise to get them to perform multiple functions.
The polish in the one step is not very aggressive. To call it a paint correction is a bit of a stretch. It will improve the finish typically. If that improvement is satisfactory or not depends on your goals and expectations.

Amish R/T reacted to Ls1transam in Premium or standard foam gun
I have the standard. It’s ok and works well. But it feels cheap. The part where the sprayer connects to the actual foam gun. If you can swing it, I’d go with the premium gun.

Amish R/T reacted to Rich in Uh ooh! I applied ceramic boost to glass?
Not sure. I would clay it off, and then just clean it and use Glass Sealant. I don't think it will hurt anything when it's dry, but when you put your spritzers on, it may make a mess that you can't see through. Don't want to be driving and have that happen. So I suggest getting it off asap.

Amish R/T reacted to falcaineer in Wash and wax & ceramic boost?
Haven't done that, no, but it will work just fine. Some on here have swapped HGG for Ceramic Boost as their maintenance sealant to rave reviews. I'm not one of them as I prefer HGG and its ease of use on all surfaces, but you may find the boost better suits your needs.
So you know, Wash & Wax isn't a true carnuba wax. It's actually a silica based product just like the ceramic coating. So, you're actually using two silica based products with this combo.

Amish R/T reacted to Nickfire20 in Paint correction advise please??
Hey and welcome. I am a new correcter as well. Ive done 2cars.
watched lots of videos and read a lot before I attempted, as one of my cars was brand new.
Anyway, start least aggressive and work up. Adams 1step polish is awesome, and got mild to moderate defects out of Chevy paint for me. You want to work in cool shady area. To my knowledge the cooler the better. I did a Honda in the fall time shady area, and my Chevy in a 40degree garage. The reason I am mentioning the manufacturer is because all paint is different. My Chevy is practically destroyed again from the damn snow and salt! Anyway, you’ll get a lot of great help here, and Adam’s polishes will definitely get you where you want to be!

You can dilute APC to make it a bit weaker as well (and to make your bottle last longer), but I still recommend reapplying protection.
Rinseless diluted 6:1 also makes a great big remover.

Welcome, Rosendo! Be sure to post an intro on the New Member Check In thread.
Yes, you can use it. It's great stuff! Just understand it will remove whatever protection there is on the car, including sealant, wax and glaze. It won't, however, remove coating. So if you use it on future vehicles, be prepared to reapply protection to that area.
