tlbullet reacted to Dan@Adams in Credit Card Hack
Moving to the appropriate section. I've passed this along to our Marketing and Web Development teams.

Please keep in mind that pre-paid debit/credit cards DO NOT work on our website - you must call us to place an order if you would like to use one. We try to steer clear of accepting payment by check in the mail, since we have to wait for them to clear before an order can ship, and limited edition items can sell out fast.

Our website accepts PayPal, and Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit cards.

Also please note that the fastest way to reach us for customer service related issues is to call us at 866-965-0400 during business hours or email us directly to "orders at adams polishes dot com"

tlbullet reacted to Dan@Adams in Weird problem with ceramic boost
Ceramic Boost has a tacky feeling due to the ceramic nature of the product, so it's not going to be as easy of a wipe on, wipe off product as Detail Spray for example. The better prepped the surface is, the easier it will be to apply though.

Make sure to use a light mist - one or two sprays is plenty for a front fender for me for example. If you're having issues with streaking, use two towels - one to do the initial spreading of the product, and then a second clean towel to wipe away the remainder. This process works much better for me.

Another great option that I've been using more frequently, after @Chris@Adams showed me, is to spray Ceramic Boost into one of the gray microfiber applicator blocks, spread it onto the surface, and then wipe away with a clean plush microfiber towel. Wipe it off quickly, there is no need to let it sit on the surface for 2 minutes like the new Ceramic Spray Coating.

tlbullet reacted to Fetzko in Foam gun insert mod
What’s going on everybody?! So I was scoping out a few different pages, including the forums. I was looking for a way to get more foam out of my foam gun. I found that some were taking out he inserts completely. While I found this brought more foam, it drank the mixture in seconds, I had to refill more than once to cover my truck.
so I took the smallest insert(yellow I believe). Since I don’t use that one, I took a 3/32 drill bit to the inside to make it about half the size of the opening you’d have if you removed in completely. This seemed to be a good compromise.asted just long enough to cover my truck(2016 tundra crewmax) so it’snot a small truck. And it delivered a noticeable increase in foam. The attached video has he result. Hope this helps and let me know what you think as well!

ADAMS COLOR CODED IT for u.. white pad w/ FP. Orange  pad with CP and blue pad with HC.   I used the Mf pad with the HC when i had a swirl/scratch that the Blue pad didnt correct.
I would start with white pad and FP to see if that does what your looking for.   If the white od doent do it, then step up to orange pad/CP.

Only you can be the judge of what's acceptable to you, but some pics on here with make/model may lend some more insight and better advice from us.

As @tlbullet says, the pads and polishes are color-coded. You can interchange, but sticking with the colors will keep it simple for you this time. I'll try and answer your other questions...

Yes, the black/orange microfiber pad (now discontinued) is essentially the same as the white/blue microfiber pad. Microfiber pads are going to be the most aggressive pads from Adam's, so they will provide the most cut/correcting power. It can be used with any polish, but either the Orange CP (more aggressive than Orange CP and orange foam) or Blue HCC (most aggressive combo Adam's offers) will give the most results for correction. If it's never been corrected, you can almost bet the CP and orange pad will be the minimum, but that said...

As a general rule, start least aggressive first. For simplicity, that would be the White FP and white foam pad, then Orange CP and orange foam pad, Orange CP and blue/white microfiber pad, Blue HCC and blue foam pad, and finally Blue HCC and blue/white microfiber pad. Tape off (blue painters tape with NO locking edges works well) a 2'x2' section of best representative paint and polish it. If you get the results you want, continue with that combo over the rest of the car. If not, step it up a level and try again, and so on. There may be some places that require more, but it should be spot correction for the most part, if so. Note the HCC tends to leave a haze, so regardless of if/when that comes into play, be prepared to go back over the car or spots with CP and/or FP.

Don't forget to clay before you polish, and also remember to remove the polish residue with the Coating Prep and plush microfiber towel like the Double Soft.

Good luck...looking forward to seeing some pics (before and after preferred!).

Most automotive interior shops are men who sew.  No insult there.

Also, I was digging through my inventory last night and found 2 Adam's aprons brand new.  I think I'll put one on my site.  Most likely FREE with a purchase of another product!

Thank you tlbullet for the plug!

Yes, we have some old label products in stock.  The contact number I post is my cell, so text is best.  email works too: eric@thompsonracing.us.  I try to keep our site up to date with inventory, but we do have some in-store sales that I have to update the site manually for.  We love Adam's, but have so much going on, we just don't have much time to hit the shows up anymore!  We used to have some crazy detail clinics, thanks to Adam and crew!

We usually offer Free Shipping over a certain amount.  We don't ship enough to get rates like Adam's, Amazon, etc.  If you can give us a big enough order, we'll help you out!  For smaller orders, I put in our FedEx account into our website and all products have an estimated weight.  We don't charge for handling, so the price you get is what FedEx charges us.

A few people inquired about my banners, tents and table cloths.  I don't plan on selling them at the moment, but I do have some older DVDs and the Vol 1 Catalogue left.

I do have a two sticker set of the old Adam's logo.  they are 36"x15" each.  I put them free with purchase of the 5 Gal Glass Cleaner.  I have a couple Adam's hats and a couple 16oz Detail Spray demo bottles.  I'll put them up free with other products soon.

Like Falcaineer said,..its preference..if ur happy with the paint the CC is awsome. Water shoots of the paint and, at least for
me, easier to maintain. No need for monthly, bi-monthly coats of wax.
Some people(like myself!!) can barley breath at the site of swirls!!!! If slight swirls
dont bother u go for it.

You definitely  dont have to do a paint correction. If you are happy on what it looks like just know that the Ceramic coating/spray just locks the paint in.  It does not reduce swirls.
If ur happy with it thats all that matters.
The claying could introduce some swirls,   Would members recomend Revive
hand polish after claying? If he doesnt want to use a SK???
As far as your Mb..the DS can def be used in betweeen washes and as a drying agent.  The BG shouldnt be used on paint if its cermic coated (some may argue othetwise) but a neat trick the forum has exposed is using it on interior windows.  Leaves them near invisible!
    gooD luck
