StormChaser reacted to Rich in Claybar and wax on clearbra?
I had the clearbra on my black Vette and now on this one and never had any issues with the wax. Pay extra attention to the edges if your Vette is dark in color though. Be sure to get all of the product rubbed in real well or it will show. Not so much, if at all, on the white. Never clayed the clear bra. Post up some pics of the Vette brother!

I do not want to settle here in Virginia Beach. I am waiting to see where my job takes me and if I find a place that Matt and I agree on (state wise) then I'll settle down. Until then.....I rent.

StormChaser reacted to matts88yj in Dads Ford Fusion Correction
Hi all! I figured you would like to see some shots of my dads Ford Fusion that I did a full correction on about two months ago. I wanted to wait to post these since two months ago, my dad had surgery for prostate cancer. He found out over this past winter that he had cancer and out of the twelve biopsies taken, only three came back with positive signs of cancer. Two of them a very slow growth and one being normal growth. Things were a bit hectic for a while and the nerves were building before surgery (the first any of us had to deal with in the immediate family). I honestly haven't even told anyone publically until now. The good thing is that all went very well and he is now back in action working full time again. Now while he was recovering he couldn't drive so I took this opportunity to work on his car and get it all cleaned up so when he could drive, it would be ready to go.
Now I didn't take any before or during pictures. Honestly with everything going on and taking care of the north 40, I just wanted to get this bad bird done. Also this was my first test of the Patroit Wax and I must say, that stuff is absolutely incredible! My dad is a hero in my eyes so I decided to try it out and give his ride the best treatment. Here is the list of all that was done.
Tires and wheel wells cleaned with APC
Wheels cleaned with GWC
2 bucket strip wash with APC & CWS
Clayed
SHR
FMP
MSS
Glass cleaned and sealed
Tires and trim dressed with SVRT
Wheel wells done with UCS
QS on the wheels
BG
Patriot Wax
Full interior done with LI Cleaner, LI Conditioner, CUC
After about a week of working on it after work, here are the results. Had to sneak in a photo of my dad checking out the paint as well. All he could say was 'Wow! That looks insane!' Made my day hearing that! The point and shoot camera was having a hard time capturing the amount of flake in this paint. It really was glittering in the sun. Hope you enjoy!

Welcome to the forum! Nice vehicles! Brandi is correct, there are a few detail clinics in the area. Make sure to attend one, esp. if you are new to the products.
If you ever need help feel free to contact us!

The lack of tapatalk seems like a step back from the previous forum.
I like all of my forums being accessed from one app with a uniform interface.

It's a proven scientific fact that a detailer uses twice the normal amount of product when it's free ;)

We love this forum! The raw feedback we get here and at shows/clinics helps us tweak even the small things to make sure we're delivering the most satisfaction to our customers. The 2 changes below are all thanks to your feedback and input:
DEEP WHEEL CLEANER IS NOW SHIPPING IN THE STANDARD 36oz BOTTLES
When we first launched DWC we figured we'd give it a different bottle from all the other products in our line to try out a new packaging. It would also avoid any possible confusion with the pink hue of the Detail Spray. Unfortunately the frosted HDPE plastic has a tendency to 'suck in' after altitude changes and thats almost a given with the fact we bottle at over 1 mile above sea level.
We've moved the product back to the same clear plastic as the rest of the 36oz products. This material is more rigid and won't suck in like the other. We also backed the colorant out of the product slightly leaving everything else about the formula unchanged so it will be more 'clear' than opaque in the bottle, giving it a visual distinction from the Detail Spray.
You may notice the labels are slightly different heights as we make the transition, new labels will be run soon to fit this bottle and the change will be complete.
FOAMING SPRAYERS NO LONGER STANDARD
Both APC and Green Wheel Cleaner had been featuring our foaming spray heads for all sizes, but thanks to feedback provided here we have decided to go back to the standard sprayers for both. If you are a fan of foaming sprayers on your wheel and tire cleaners simply specify that in your order notes, but going forward the standard sprayers will be included.
We are looking at some new hybrid sprayer options for later this year that might satisfy both the foaming and spray needs for all products. Stay tuned!

I have both...well I had the PC for about a year and then upgraded to the flex last April. Both are very easy to use. The flex is MUCH faster saves a lot of time.
The only complaint I have is I have small hands so for me to fluxuate the trigger on the flex...it makes it a bit unstable for me. You won't have that problem because a guy's hand is much bigger. So I just lock the trigger and it works just fine.
Personally I wish I would have just gotten the flex to begin with. I have attended a few detail clinics in my days and have been on the Shine Crew with Adams at Auburn Auction in Indiana. That is where I learned how to do the flex (Thank you Mook!).
Even if you have some product and what not come Thanksgiving...I'll still be glad to show you any techniques I learned from Adam or whatnot.
I do have a horrible memory so I added you to my calendar so I don't forget!!

Welcome! Where exactly in Alaska are you from? My better half was just up there two weeks ago.
Awesome looking car in that color. For some reason the darker gray/gunmetal colors look amazing on a vehcile with aggressive lines.

I have poor service at home - 2 bars of service. I am lucky to get text messages to go through. I don't have internet at home and so it's going to be a dis-service to me because I have only 20 minute timeframe at work that I can use online for personal things. I try to do business stuff there and then use tapatalk for forum (fun) stuff at home. Now that's not the case. I gave up looking at my banking to get caught up on this site today.
Unfortunately this will result in me having to stay off here more than normal.
Ok, Rant Off.
If yall are on facebook, hit me up there!
I'd like Tapatalk back! Plus I had unlimited pictures on Tapatalk!
