I wasn't going to say anything about those child bearing hips, or the flowers on that decal...

I went back and looked at that Jeep before I delivered it back to the client. Final photos will be coming as soon as I pull them off my camera. But the texture you see is actually that the Jeep has a fiberglass hard top. So the fiberglass has texture which is what you are seeing on the Jeep. Orange peel looks nearly identical though.

And if you guys are wondering about about some tools that let us get the results we do, this is the main polisher collection we have at our disposal. We also have a DeWalt rotary which is set up with an Auto-triz pen style micropolisher (smallest is a pad the size of a chapstick cap).  That polisher doesn’t hang well. We also have a cyclo machine set up with carpet brushes that comes out occasionally as well, but it doesn’t hang well on these racks either.

So we are all Rupes. We have a 21mk2, two 15mk2’s, Rupes Mini, Rupes Nano shortneck, Rupes Nano longneck, cyclo and DeWalt.

Tools are one of the biggest differences between someone getting paid to do work, and someone just doing their own work.

The term 9h is a marketing/hype word that is practically meaningless in real world car detailing applications.  A coating’s effectiveness is measured by its ability to self clean, protect against contamination, and its aesthetic properties.  No coating is actually providing any resistance to scratching based on its hardness.  Helping to reduce swirl marks is a function of the self cleaning properties and preventing contamination from sticking therefore making the wash process safer/easier.

This sounds similar to Can Coat by Gyeon. It fills a need for a client who wants more than wax, but less than a coating. Although with different sealants and waxes our there it’s hard to say just where it fits.

See above about Gyeon Can Coat. It’s most likely a stand-alone or last step.

True ceramic coatings and a product like this are vastly different in terms of application. The chemicals (vehicle) to deliver a spray will naturally require more product. For example when we airbrush wheels, we use way more product than simple hand application. That will account for the volume of the bottle on some level. You also have to plan for the excess that ends up in your towel. Sprays leave much more surplus chemical than a wipe on product.

And another thought, just because a product is released doesn’t mean it fits into your lifestyle. It’s okay to not use everything. We don’t use everything from everyone. In fact, there isn’t a manufacturer we use everything from.

Sometimes it’s okay to say no. It just doesn’t fit for me. It’s not a reflection on a product, but your process and how things fit in. There’s a million ways to do the same thing in detailing. Our process works for us. It may not work for everyone. It doesn’t make one better than the other.

Their competition’s version of tire armor works better in achieving gloss on the 2nd coat in my experience . And the competion also has a 32 ounce version available.

I agree.  Which is why you make it achievable with multiple coats to satisfy everyone’s preferences.  Having to put tire shine over a coating is absurd.

I bought mine back in the day and it came with the 10’ hose.  Really stiff and like I said, came loose after a few years of use.  The machine itself works great.

This slight of hand switch was the last straw for me with Adams.  When you reduce product by half and still charge nearly the same as before,  and then attempt to justify it by telling me I didn't need that much product in the first place, that's a MAJOR problem and borderline insulting.

The cost per detail of this entire product line has reached astronomical levels.  I still kick myself for learning that fact the hard way...

It has become clear to me why more pro level detailers don’t use Adam’s Polishes. It’s become increasingly difficult to keep them on our shelves in a cost effective manner.

I am aware everyone here is heavily pro-Adams. And their products work well for the consumer. But there’s a whole world of products out there, and some even work better. The pricing here was what lead to that discovery for us.

No worries my friend - I edited post to clarify further as I do have 3 of the ultra plush towels which I also use to dry with (for softer paints and black paint especially you want a plush drying towel) - also have seen waffle weaves now getting banded in silk which is hugely helpful.  I do agree that the waffle weaves have less of a life cycle than a plush towel.
