  1. Yep. You should be good. I mix and match frequently. For example, I buy my non-Adams detail spray in concentrate and use it to clay and prime pads before Adams polishes. Works great!
  2. Really wish you guys would finish up on the coating development. I think Dylan was working on it before he left.
  3. I miss the series by Dylan, so it would be great to get videos on tips/tricks and uses of products as well as the occasional behind the scenes look at the HQ. Couldn't care less about cool cars or their back stories on an Adams site. I would stick to what makes Adams unique compared to your competitors which are your products and customer service. JMHO.
  4. 400? Oh, I passed on the revolution version. With Adams discounts at the time of purchase (used to be able to use 15% coupon on machines) I picked up the MB for 288. So yeah, I will spend an extra $40 for the more powerful model.
  5. Go big or go home, IMHO. Haven't tried the 4 hp model but I like having the extra power with the MB. Can dry all our vehicles in no time at all. Each tire takes less than 30 sec for it to be completely dry. My sidekick hasn't left the cabinet since I've used the MB.
  6. Total agreement. Such a beautiful car already.. Why ruin it with tacky stickers/modifications? Love the rest, particularly the Lamborghini.

    Traded up...

    I think I hate you. (In a jealous/respectful way) -
  8. China comes in a close second? News to me. (Walmart/autozone microfiber are all from China)
  9. I would settle for Adam's coating. (Taps fingers impatiently)
  10. For cleaning out our cars I have a garage accessory kit that has attachments that go directly into our house central vac. Talk about power!! :-)
  11. Yep, me too. Owned the sidekick for years, which does a great job on door jambs, windows etc. but I always wanted an efficient tool to do the whole car (with no need for towel drying). The 4 HP was never an option for me, as I would always wonder how much faster/efficiently I could dry the car with the extra power. I'm loving the 8 HP MB, as I can get a full sized car and the tires completely dry in under 10 minutes. The price is steep particularly for the revolution model (which I past on), so I certainly understand the hesitation. If you have the coin it is a fantastic drying device that I highly recommend.
  12. Don't buy one. - Last black car I had I almost had to quit my job because of the time it took to keep in clean.
  13. While it would have been a great way to seal wheels and other tight areas, it was always a product I steered clear from because I like to work in an enclosed garage and never liked the idea of breathing the chemical in. Although I know many loved it for its durability and ease of use.

The product I am using is still a detail spray but designed to be diluted for clay use and contains no wax. It is also half the cost of Adam's. Assuming that other companies don't have products that are as good or even better than Adam's would be ignorant at best. Adam's has some great products but they aren't the end all be all. -------------------------------------- +1 Burninator is right on the money with this one, from the wax additive to the cost. Very respectfully, your comment "If your being penny wise and pound foolish about the small difference in price about detail products from Adams, your in the wrong business. I'm sure Megs, Turtle guy, etc make a product for claying too, but I aint using it !!!" is a bit naïve and really misses the mark. I'm not talking about a "small difference" in price nor am I talking about Megs or Turtle crap products. But since this is an Adam's forum, I'm not going to mention other products on his site. The bottom line is that if you are happy with what you are using, by all means continue. However, it would probably make sense to not make generalizations about other products unless you understand and have used the great alternatives that are out there.
  15. Once you go garage, you never go back I remember my earlier days having to carry groceries, etc. from an outside parking lot in bad weather, go up multiple flights of stairs, etc. to get into the house. From a convenience and detailing perspective, having a garage is flat-out awesome. Good luck with the inspection/closing!
  16. I agree that DS as a clay lube is ideal, but I disagree with you about the cost issue. It can be costly (particularly if you are going with Adams), and have used nearly a full 16 oz bottle claying 1 full-size truck. Using concentrated versions, I can make up gallons of the juice at a fraction of the cost. While I understand the reasons for Adam's to not offer concentrates (110% guarantees, etc.), it doesn't make much financial sense for me as a consumer. For those staying within the Adam's product line-up, it makes perfect sense why people are looking at diluting non-DS products as an alternative for a clay lube.
  17. Looks like it will be missing the east coast. Just some rain this weekend. Guess I'll be sealing the cars in preparation for winter next weekend instead
  18. IMHO, using Adam's DS exclusively as a clay lube is not cost effective. There are too many equally high quality products on the market, particularly available in concentrate, that does just as an outstanding job for much less money.
  19. In my experience it is slightly warm air. The hose does get pretty hot after extended use, it just takes a few minutes to get warmed up.
  20. In my own situation, I am already diluting products like APC because it doesn't make sense to use them at full strength. Further, there is absolutely no way I would ever buy a product like DS again without it being in concentrate. Other company products (I won't mention the names) have a degree of error when adding dH20 to where is performs fantastic unless your measurements are grossly off. It simply doesn't make financial sense to not have clay lube, for example, in concentrated form. Again, JMHO when comparing to other products that are available. However, I appreciate the circumstance you are in, particularly when offering a 110% guarantee you do not want an added variable of dilution to affect the quality and end-user's experience with the product.
  21. Only car shampoo for me. Until Adams offers detail spray in concentrate, it doesn't make financial sense compared to equal quality products out there. Everything else would be obsolete/go bad before I could ever use a gallon of the product.
  22. Mainly during the winter months (7-8 weeks). I don't bother during this time or pollen season
  23. I've been waiting for Adams to come out with this product for some time now, but won't wait much longer. Coatings seem like a perfect solution for long-term protection of our daily drivers.
  24. Lol, at the steam coming off the vehicle after spraying it at 15:45. Probably should get that truck back under the tree.
