  1. I would love to see a video of the car wash wedge in action.
  2. Agreed. Car shampoo is all I really need for maintenance washing.
  3. Hi all, My apologies if this topic has been covered already. I was wondering what methods everyone uses to remove dried polish that has made its way into the gaps of panels that you are polishing? While I try to be careful in the first pass or 2 when working on a panel, I still somehow managed to get some in between after my latest correction. I'm tempted to go back with a toothpick, but I figured it would be best to check with you all before doing something stupid
  4. A topic that certainly has been covered in other auto care forums. iMHO less than 5 years, and with the great sealant options out there that have similar shine than premium waxes, for me they already are obsolete.
  5. I would love verification on this as well. Does Green Wheel Cleaner strip sealant/wax? I always assumed the answer was no.
  6. Have car attachment kit for our house central vac in the garage. Ridiculous power
  7. Yep, Adam's is as good as it gets when it comes to backing quality products and fantastic costumer service. Now, I'm just waiting for the next 15% discount special to put my next large order in. (hint, hint)
  8. Yep - I second the doc. This is actually the sole reason why I've avoided repurchasing undercarriage spray, as it left bad stains in my garage (and I have little use with our lower profile cars) . Certainly, great care is needed in terms of applying and making sure to put towels down in case there are drips.
  9. If the wall was on the other side it would be my perfect spot. Less of a chance that someone is in the passenger seat and swinging that door open, rather than the driver's side of the other car.
  10. My advice is to skip the polish. Why remove clear coat (even if it is a very small amount) unnecessarily if the paint is already 100% swirl+scratch free? If you get some marring after claying, then I can see its use. But I certainly wouldn't be polishing if the paint is free from defect.
  11. Hate to say it, but it will be really interesting to see how the sales are with the new foam gun. The improvements I would like to see boil down to more foam with less product, but it would take something really special to get me to replace the gilmour. Plus, it is a buy once type of product.
  12. I've definitely had bottles leak at the seams at the bottom several times with leather/interior cleaner, once with all purpose cleaner. Usually happens in my bottles stored 2+ years so I don't bother contacting Adams about it. I guess it just means I need to use up my products more quickly.
  13. Just look for the shiniest ride in the parking lot. It shouldn't have been that difficult to have tracked down
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Junkman used to preach that the wax protects the paint, but it is the polishing that produces the shine. Is this correct?
  15. Looks great! I can't imagine trying to maintain that finish living in Kuwait.
  16. I'm with Dylan on this one. I've been trying to just use the rest of my stock up, because the wash shampoo does a fine job in cleaning (and maintaining protection) with my sealed wheels. IMHO, GWC isn't really strong enough to do much medium to heavy cleaning.
  17. I have two GWDTs going on over 3 years... wash on warm cycle and always air-dried (no fabric softener, etc. as recommended). While there is some staining, they've held up well. I've noticed some minor linting with one of them over the past week, so I assume they are at the end-stage of their life cycle.
  18. I would love the idea of this option in the Adam's line-up. Particularly for maintaining long-lasting protection for wheels, I would be sold. Given my busy schedule, it would be great to have an option for my daily driver that extends beyond the 4-6 months of the sealant offered here. If the technology is there for a coating that provides superior long-lasting protection (compared to sealants) that is easy to apply for a novice, Adam's should be offering it. While it might not be right for those who want to polish their cars on a frequent basis, there are plenty of products that Adam's sells that aren't for everyone (e.g., fender brushes that don't fit in wheel wells of smaller cars, undercarriage spray that badly stains concrete if not too careful, etc.)
  19. I've noticed that this item was replaced with "Master Blaster Revolution" (which for 399.00 includes many items I don't need, although the swivel front casters/longer hose are welcomed additions). Are you still planning on selling the original one for the cheaper price, or is this a replacement for that item?
  20. I have a sink in my garage, and never thought of hooking my hose up to it to wash cars outside. Since I already shut off the water valve/disconnected external hoses in anticipation of the colder weather, this could be a really great idea. I just can't believe I never thought about it before
  21. A win for me would have been a wall to the right side of my car, opening the space to my left. Less likely a passenger door gets opened than the driver side. But, I'm a little crazy -
  22. They will remove the obstruction from their view, forget as they talk to their buddies, and give you a complimentary swirl wash... But, I always think the worst when it comes to the dealer.
  23. Junkman has a great video on polishing near the trim without using tape- you should check it out. Only time I use trim is on 50:50 shots and if there is a sharp emblem I'm polishing around.
