  1. Did a quick wash, polish, & detail tonight on my 04 Monte SS Dale Jr. It is my daily driver and sits outside, but I had an open stall tonight so I took the time to make it shine for one night anyway. Adams Shampoo in Foam Cannon, followed with a complete clay. Adams PCP and PFP 1 pass of each on all panels with MF pads, a little extra effort on hood and rear bumper. Prior owner didn't believe in lifting items into trunk and that a hood was a place to set bags on. Wiped it all down with IPA. Running out of time and sunlight so AQS for a sealant. Finished it off with a coat of Patriot. Wheels hit with GWC followed up with Revive, AQS, and DS Tires APC followed up with SVRT. Should have taken a few before photos, I really wasn't expecting it to clean up so well & in a short timeframe. Of course it started to rain so I quickly pulled into garage which limited my ability to document. Thanks for looking.
  2. Thanks, will give him a shout so I can upgrade the garage lighting.
  3. Well done, keep up the wash regimen and keep up the correction practice on other cars/trucks & you will keep taking time off the process. I find it relaxing to work on my cars. Next up is a boat, not sure how the Flex will be on gel coat.
  4. I would agree with Matt, just remember the first time takes the longest. That also assumes once corrected you take care in how you wash it, if done with a 2/3 bucket or foam canon next time will be less time consuming.
  5. Welcome and looking forward to seeing your WRX all shined up.
  6. Welcome enjoy the STi and keep making it shine
  7. I have both the small Vac N Blow 500, and the Jumbo. The 500 is fine for light duty, but the wall mount is so nice and handy as it always ready. It does have more power, but if you keep up it isn't an issue. The SideKick works better than either for me, I like the size and am afraid of blowing dirt back at my car after I just vacuumed with it. BTW, the 500 works well to inflate water toys. I now keep it in my RV for cleaning and inflating as needed. Hope it works out well for your needs.
  8. Like anything else you can justify your views in multiple ways. A tariff isn't always about handicapping rather leveling the field, we hurt our economy by buying the cheapest over value. The equation doesn't factor in the quality of life that is the true American Dream.
  9. Looks like a nice setup, will have to copy this idea for sure.
  10. You will have a happy ride soon, the Patriot will blow you away.
  11. I picked up a few cans of AQS at a savings at the show. It was nice to meet Mook & Nick in person, with the weather challenges it wasn't the best show ever for everyone involved. Saw a out 1/3rd of the cars last weekend at the Car Craft Summer Nationals in same location.
  12. Gallon is they way to go, I have 2-16oz bottles one with a spray head & the other with the flip top so I can Pre-treat and put in the washer conveniently.
  13. You can still buy the empty 36 oz bottles, try it and if you need the bigger bottle pick it up. The only 36 ers I really use are the waterless wash and all purpose cleaner with a foaming head. I have a shelf just for gallon jugs with the pump on them for refilling.
  14. I know that Hotsy is US made, they have very nice products, you get what you pay for with them. I picked up their foam cannon (made in Italy) for $99. I think it is close to the same as an MTM for $59 (China). I have a 2600psi, with a 3gpm pump and it works great to wash the toys. It can be a little hassle dragging out the washer & all the start/stop as you shouldn't leave them on without water flowing through, a small electric 1800psi with a good pump would be very convenient & quieter if you have close neighbors.
  15. Definately the best value on the market, have been using a foam canon the last few times out and it makes washing a joy rather than a chore. 3 to 4 oz mixed with water go a long way, I can wash my CCSB truck 2 or my cars 3-4 times depending on how dirty they are.
  16. Finally took the leap to the dark side and love it, it is amazing on my iPad. Thanks for providing the option.
  17. Had to be a happy owner when they picked up the ride from you. Thanks for all the pix showing what can be done with skilled hands. I hope my Flex doesn't bite me now.
  18. Nicely done, you can still use the 3 step or go to the 2 and appreciate the time savings. I use the SSH for headlights with my PC, until it is gone anyway.
  19. Great tip, send some of the heat north please ;-)
  20. Definitely some AQS for the front cap, I just came back from the holiday and the bugs rinse off so much easier with the sealant applied. Hope you have fun with the camper!
  21. Good to hear the SS is on the way back to the road & coming back stronger! Looking forward to seeing the next phase of mods.
  22. I placed an order last night as well, no email confirmation. It shows up in my account history like it should. Who knows by Monday I may have to add to the order, did a wash and light detail on my CC Dmax, Expedition, and a Camry yesterday after we came back from celebrating the 4th. Time to restock.
  23. Nice job, nice to see in action and full capabilities. I purchased mostly for paint decon as my wheels are kept fairly clean and Green Wheel Cleaner is all that I need.
