  1. I guess I know what I'm doing when I get my gallon of APC.
  2. While not as involved as some of the other entries this takes the "different" aspect to another level. I mean, Who would think to detail a rubber duck? Seeing what SVRT does for tires, is the duck touching the water or does it hover slightly?
  3. I've done one in the sun, so it can be done. Have your detail spray handy and be prepared to use quite abit to keep the pads moist. It's not ideal, but can work.
  4. I had the same issue with my Crown Vic, full correction not quite 2 months ago. It was sealed with Machine Super Sealant, but the wash I did last week water wasn't even beading. My Taurus has some Quick Sealant on it and it was still beading. I went ahead and put some quick sealant on the Vic and it's beading fine since. Maybe we've had some extra goodies coming down in in the rain out here?
  5. You have the right idea for correction, the key is to remove ALL the rust. If there is an auto body supply store near you, pick up some good quality masking tape and plan to apply paint to an area much larger than the repair. I would add a clear coat over the painted area as well.
  6. Pine should be fine for an installation like that, you will just need to watch writing on it. Any unsupported paper will transfer the impressions directly to the pine surface.
  7. I'd write a letter or e-mail (should be contact info printed on the can) about the situation. You never know, you might get something from them.
  8. I wear clear plastic saftey glasses when running my string trimmer, saved me from various things flying up many times. Anyway, they get grass and weeds stuck to them pretty easily. I pulled a new pair out the other day and hit them with quick sealant and nothing sticks, they just wipe clear. Just a great product.
  9. I've used an absorber for years, the Great White is just in another league. I'm going to get a second here soon.
  10. Looks great! I love wagons. There seemed to be a texture in a couple of the after shots, then I realized it was the reflection.
  11. Not bad, typical explodie summer movie. If you liked the Transformers Series you'll like this one. The best part was the use of real war veterans in actual speaking roles.
  12. I was going to cut the grass, but it was raining this morning, so went to see Battleship with the wife.
  13. It just puts me in mind of They Live, when Roddy Piper puts on the sunglasses and sees the hidden messages, now we can see the imperfect paint everywhere.
  14. Out here it's the pollen, it just grabs onto everything no matter the prep/wax. I've felt that my old (read crappy) MF towels were very prone to cause static, only used the Adams towels a few time so I'm not sure they are as bad. Maybe that is just a property of the MF towels in general, between the make up and dispersion of the fibers they naturally have a static building property.
  15. Just washed them both, still need to "Adamize" the Taurus.
  16. I work on photolithography equipment (they expose the images that will become microchips), one system has low intensity so I had to inspect the optics and clean them if needed.
  17. Still at work doing an optical path inspection/clean for an intensity issue. Currently waiting for the 3500W Lamp to warm back up.
  18. Great shot Megan! That is a cool dog too, looks like the dog from The Road Warrior.
  19. Rewashed the Vic this morning after having a new windshield installed yesterday, darn rock chips. This is with Buttery Wax over Machine Super Sealant.
  20. Not even 7:30a.m. yet here and I've just been on a ladder clearing out two gutter downspouts, man I can't wait for the rain to cut back around here.
  21. Very inspirational! I've recently taken off 25lbs and seeing this makes me thing the next 25 are possible.
  22. Holy Hell! I dressed the Vic and the Taurus with full strength SVRT the other day, well being the Portland area it's been raining the past couple days and they tires still look like I just cleaned and dressed them!
