  1. I agree Another consideration is that layering Americana will often result in the finish being cloudy looking. Sure you can then add another layer but in a few days it clouds again meaning you then need to strip and start over. IMO using revive, buttery and brilliant glaze results in a much better "POP" and shine and has never clouded on the black Vette, grey Lexus, grey green RX7 or cherry black RX7 !!!
  2. Toothbrush and toothpicks all ready mentioned..........Also use real cotton diapers ( fluffy old fashioned type) for the underside of hood, interior edges of trunk lids, engine and first wipe of wheels ( finish wheels with white microfiber) Instead of blowing trapped water out of crevices, mirrors, wheels etc. use vacuum to suck it out. This way there is no sprayed water to wipe afterwards. Very quick and effective method
  3. Have been on vacation for few weeks. Rental car appearances are AARGGHH......... not that anyone renting really cares, nor does the rental company. BUT thery all eventually sell their autos. Getting the water spots out and making them look descent may be a business opportunity
  4. Flyfishing, Golf, diecast Corvettes, self-employment and grandkids.
  5. Idea....we have 4 cars. If we request 3 key chains how about getting the 4th free ??!
  6. Black is great ! I love it ....most of the time A puzzling event. I am always using revive, buttery or Americana then glaze. Vette looks great afterwards for a few days. However, 3 weeks ago I only used revive over the other stuff. It still looks great !!! Unbelieveable ! Thanks Adams  Do you think I finally reached the "magic" dosage ??!!
  7. How do I dilute it so it is not so shiny? Both before install and after install? Thank you
  8. That is cool........but 68 is not very old !!!!!!
  9. One guy is a neighbor who always compliments me on my cars. I seem to always be cleaning / polishing at least one as he walks his dog in the evening. Last week he asked me a couple of questions and I let him borrow a couple of Adam's products. He was delighted with the results and told me this evening he placed an order ( yes I was working on the Vette, doing the inside. Was hoping he would later stop on his way back walking his dog as I was also touching up the engine. Could have gotten another order if he had seen the clean LS2 engine with 132000 miles). The other is a lady who works part time for the guy in the next office.( there are several of us self-employed people in the building). She has a black Mercedes sport convertable and was so proud that she had just bought it and spray waxed it with brand x. The guy she was working for told her she should talk to me. She did. Looked at her car. Looked good but........ Showed her my 128,000 mile Lexus that is parked outside ( not garaged) and she was impressed. I gave her a suggested list of products to start with and she orderred. Footnote...The guy next door wanted to buy the Adams product for her and then pay a detailer to apply it. I said absolutely not. This lady will definitely want to experience the same love affair that we all have with our rides. There is no doubt about it !!! Two examples of Adams selling itself

  11. Success !! Washed Vette at 0600 this morning. All seems well. Think I dodged a bullet. ......Lyn always says I have way too many Chemicals on car. Don't believe she will say that again. Amen !! Thank you for the responses
  12. Did wipe down / cleanup near midnight in dimly lit garage. Sun wil be up in a few minutes. Will look at then.
  13. Without this.............Parked in front of friend's house tonight from 6 to 11 pm. Someone threw an egg. Luckily hit passenger side of windshield. A little splashed on roof , rear window and passenger side of trunk. When got home in garage washed windshield and sprayed roof and top of rear trunk lid with detail spray and wiped. Although lighting is not bright believe got most of it off. Concern is Vette was dusty. Wiped loosely with microfiber first before spraying and wiping so hopefully any scratching is minimal. Will see in morning. Why in the H--- would anyone do this? Absolutely stupid !!
  14. I have about 1800 diecast corvettes. Only 50 are duplicates. It became an obsession, similar to always polishing the cars. I've cut back.....only purhased 6 more so far this month and only spent 7 hours today detailing the black Vette.
  15. I've had 2 white Vettes and now a black one. The Black is almost a love hate relationship. The White Vettes always looked great. The Black one also looks great, but only for 15 minutes !!! Enjoy your ride !!
  16. Congratulatios ! Wishing Adam and the Adams team continued success !!:banana:
  17. If I have a problem I use the Brilliant Glaze. Works great. And then next time use the glass cleaner til have problem then use B G etc, etc, etc
  18. Bought Tesla stock a year ago for 2 of our grandsons. Its doing just fine and expect it to perform even better this year.
  19. In N Ca you would have an "expensive" fix it ticket for the tint. BUT I LIKE IT !!!..... ENJOY YOUR NEW RIDE
  20. IMO advertizing nitrogen in tires and gas is a gimmick. 78% of the air on this planet is nitrogen (or so the guy at Big O confessed to me after I asked them to remove it from my tires after they unknowingly to me inflated my new tires with it). I did notice the bright green valve stems they put on tho and asked why.
  21. I think as long as you use "top Tier" gas you are okay. Most companies are Top Tier while a few are not. I only use Chevron, but that is just personal preference. However, I do recommend against using Citgo....This is from Venezuela who openly professes taking down the USA.
  22. just curious......20 years equals how many miles on the odometer?? Hope you enjoy your new ride !!
  23. I collect diecast Corvettes. So far have 1500
