  1. So if you wanted, you could go glaze, sealant, wax? Would there be any benefit to doing it like this?
  2. I usually just use an Americana hex, but when putting through my last order I had the glaze pads in the cart and took them out at the last minute. Made me wonder how many people use a machine to apply their glaze.
  3. Right now I'm working with a one car garage so the sidekick is about all I can use. When we upgrade to a bigger space, a master blaster will be one of the first additions!
  4. You're going to love it!! No more streaking water spots as you drive away!
  5. Yes you should clay them, no you won't scratch them (if done correctly). Just clay them like you do any other panel.
  6. Agreed. I don't care how many people wouldn't notice it, it's an issue regardless. Hopefully you bought from a reputable seller who will do the right thing and either replace or at the very least discount the purchase.
  7. I like that instead of just leaving this as a response to a post in a random thread, you also put it up as a new topic. We all thank you for your candidness in this matter! This once again shows why I enjoy supporting this company! Even if sometimes things cost a couple extra dollars, I like seeing them go to a good company!
  8. I believe you are correct, the blue hex is too aggressive for glaze/wax. I use the Americana for glaze, and a yellow for wax since I like the stiffer grip for the wax.
  9. Why are you rinsing it? Should just be wiped on and left. I guess you could also just be washing these areas after application, but I apply vrt when I'm done
  10. That's why I love the Adams wash pads. They work great and for less than $20 you can pick up another set. I don't worry too much about how long they last (within reason) because they're inexpensive to replace.
  11. I like the jumbo as well as the regular. I use them just like in the videos, jumbo for above the beltline and regular for below.
  12. Very nice! Good to see it doesn't have any bubbling on the sail panel!
  13. I guess I made the mistake before of keeping my Americana applicator in the jar while in the fridge. I checked it last week and the applicator was cracked and just sort of in question, so I tossed it thinking I'll just get a new one. Now it seems these aren't being sold anymore and Americana now seems like it comes with a different applicator (grey interior). Is there another hex that works?

    Woot! Awesome Gerry!
  15. The mini Americana is on sale right now since it's being discontinued. If you want to jump in to try it without the full price wallet hit that's where I'd head.
  16. I used to use Zaino, and at the time (13 years ago?) was very happy with the results! This of course was before I knew what swirl marks/ect were and used a regular cotton towel to wash using 1 bucket. When I started to read more about detailing and learning a whole lot more, I realized Zaino (as good as it is) wasn't the correct line of products for me. I wanted to move onto machine detailing my car, and had to find a product line to match, and am very glad I found Adams. Are there better and cheaper products out there? Yes. However, I have no issue with spending my money towards a company that seriously might have the best customer service I've ever encountered, along with providing a top-notch product. It also doesn't hurt that Adam's has chosen and sticks to their "USA made" morals. While I may not follow that stance in my personal life, I'll happily endorse a company that does. I don't see how you couldn't be happy with Adam's results. And as stated they'll refund your money 100%.
  17. I know many people have used with success waterless/rinseless-diluted, but my mind always just comes back to remembering Adam's staffers saying they didn't recommend waterless (before rinseless came about) since I believe they said it lacked the lubricity.

Not with single quote, but with multi-quote the box comes up and tallies the number of quotes. When I press the reply button within that box it still just jumps to the reply window with no quotes shown.

Nope. Only forum this seems to be an issue

No quote box at all. IE
  21. Since it was fairly inexpensive for a gallon which can be diluted if wanted, I bought a competitors specific clay lube. I'm interested to see if there is a difference against the detail spray. I'll be claying more cars this year, and while detail spray isn't budget breaking for me, if something cheaper does the same....

When I click the "quote" button it sends me to the reply but with no quote. I looked for a button to hit in the reply, to no avail.
  23. Gerry was saying it only lasts as good as what it's applied on top of. If it's applied to bare, clean paint it will last the 5 months. If it's applied on top of wax, it will only last a month or so as that's how long the wax will last. You'll be fine just putting down the quick sealant, and whatever wax of your choice over top.
