  1. Wow. The Rangers just can't shake that flu bug. Josh Hamilton is in the HOSPITAL! Yikes! Here come the Angels....
  2. Still could change. The Mets are contesting the call. Unlikely, though.
  3. Dickey's gem should have been a no-no. That early hit should have been an error on David Wright. The only run he gave up was on an error by Wright as well.
  4. I missed it! Crap! Turned off the TV last night. THAT won't happen again.
  5. I don't think Vinny will ever retire. He'll call a 6-4-3 to end the 7th and not come back for the 8th.
  6. Yep - but it won't last. The glaze should go UNDER the wax. Probably better to put another coat of wax on than glaze over the wax.
  7. Adam's, of course! Adam's Machine Super Sealant - Best Machine Car Wax The Machine Super Sealant can be applied by hand. It's just quicker w/ a machine. Adam's Polishes - Adam's Quick Sealant Quick Sealant is sprayed on and wiped down. (Or spray the applicator.) Super Sealant will last longer but you have to wait at least 12 hours before applying glaze or wax over the top. Quick Sealant you can add to right away.
  8. It just occurred to me that when I went to the Dodger game a few weeks ago it was a DAY game. Same thing with old Yankee Stadium. Different crowd? Probably....
  9. Mike Trout = WOW! Way to beat the Dodgers by yourself.
  10. Park it on a back street with the windows down and the keys in it. Worked for Jerry when he couldn't get the BBO out of his BMW.
  11. You will definitely want to clay. Even if your car DIDN'T sit on the dealer lot it has fall-out from the trip down from Canada on the train. Rail dust can only be removed by claying. When I picked up my 2010 in 2009 I made sure the dealer DID NOT wash it and it still needed clayed even though it arrive at the dealer the day before. After washing and claying you should do a seal, glaze and wax. It will look stunning!
  12. I'm glad I don't hate the Dodgers. I'm glad I don't have to deprive myself the opportunity to listen to Vin Scully's timeless play-by-play as the Dodgers face the Angels at the Ravine. Makes me feel like a kid again. I have a major jones for a Farmer John hot-dog.
  13. Well, if your are basing your "fandom" on the politeness of the fans than you licked the right team. The StL fans are the best. There's a LOT of teams (in all sports) that have real obnoxious fans. The east coast teams are famous for this but some of the west coast teams are trying to catch up. When I watch a game from Oakland I'm amazed at how obnoxious the fans there are. Of course, when there's only 12 in the stands the obnoxious guy really stands out. I've never had a BAD fan experience but the Yankee and Red Sox fans use to be pretty annoying at the Rangers games. A few years ago they would overpower the Rangers fans and just be obnoxious. Now, though, the Rangers fans pack the place every night and drown them out. Winning fixes everything.... I had a great time at Dodger Stadium a few weeks ago. No problems - everyone was real nice. Minute Maid Park in Houston is very fan friendly. I went to old Yankee Stadium a few years ago and had a GREAT time. A buddy of mine went to Fenway for a Rangers game and LOVED it. Of course - he didn't act like an obnoxious Ranger fan. That would just be ASKING for trouble.
  14. How can you grow up in LA and "hate" the Dodgers? I don't get that. I can understand being an Ozzy fan - who isn't? But it's just weird to me when someone "hates" their hometown team. Was it one of those deals where everyone you knew just LOVED the Dodgers and you wanted to be different?
  15. You might be giving that mustache too much credit. <grin>
  16. Actually (and they haven't been using this as an excuse) the Rangers have been passing the flu around the clubhouse for the last few weeks. Derek Holland lost about 15 lbs from it. I got that flu last year. I couldn't get out of bed for a week. I can't imagine having to play a baseball game with it. They'll get their strength back. And if the Angles haven't taken advantage of the situation they will be in trouble.
  17. I don't think it's fair to judge Darvish in 1/3 of his first season. I don't think ANYONE said he was going to be the Cy Young winner this year. I believe the Rangers were just expecting him to be better than average and have the POTENTIAL to be a Cy Young winner down the road.... Also - don't be too hard on Albert. Again - it's only 1/3 of his first season. He's going to be there for a LONG time. Even if the first year or two and the last year or two are bad the Angels are paying for the tasty center - like a $240 mil Oreo cookie.
  18. You may be right. Holland is out for two weeks, too.
  19. Two straight years of playoff baseball will do that to young arms. But hey! Oswalt is coming!
