  1. Baseball ain't football. Any given day anyone can beat anyone. It's what you do over 162 that counts. The '27 Yankees got beat 44 times.
  2. I did not. Other than making it go farther I don't see the point. IPA evaporates very quickly...
  3. I just used IPA and it seemed to work great. I just sprayed it on and wiped it off. I put a few towels down to catch overspray so it wouldn't get on the rest of the car. Thanks for the help!
  4. Great! Thanks. Is there some reason why spraying APC on the roof and wiping it off with a wash towel is a BAD idea?
  5. The Rocks beat the Reds today and the Reds have been HOT!
  6. I want to strip the wax and seal from the roof of my car so I can polish it again but I DO NOT want to strip the window sealant or the rest of the car. Any tips on how to accomplish this? I understand that IPA is discouraged and APC is encouraged but how? Should I spray it on and wipe it off? Diluted? Soak the MF towel and wipe? Any tips from someone who has attempted something like this? Thanks.
  7. Looks like King Albert might be finally turning the corner. He's starting to look like the HOF lock he has been for the last 10 years. If so the Rangers better start winning again or the LAAofAs will start eating into that early lead.
  8. My son-in-law has Canon 5D Mark II with a 50mm f/1.2 lens and knows how to use it.
  9. Took some pics of the Rocket in the wild-flowers for the photo contest:
  10. Loading up the family truckster with the kids and heading to my Dad's. Plan to spend the day chin deep in water only to surface when the burgers are ready. God Bless America.
  11. That's exactly why I went with the PC over the Flex (that and $100). I may be sorry if my NEXT car is a mess but it was perfect for this one....
  12. I ordered a 2010 Camaro in 2009 and made the dealer swear on a stack of blue books that he wouldn't wash it. I took it home and immediately hand polished and sealed the paint. I took very good care of it for the last 2.5 years polishing and sealing every chance I got. Car rarely saw rain and was never dirty for very long. Last month I switched to the PC kit from Adams. Since my paint was already in nearly perfect condition I wasn't expecting a big difference with the PC. However - I was blown away by the depth of shine I've been able to obtain with the PC and the Fine Machine Polish, sealant, glaze and wax. It was a lot of work to do the strip wash, clay, PC, seal, glaze and wax and it took two days but it was definitely worth it. And maintaining that shine is super easy. I don't see myself doing any more than "spot fixes" within a year or so. Disclaimer: The hand polish system I was using was NOT Adam's. It IS, however, a high quality and much lauded system. You may be just fine with the Adam's hand polishing system. I'm glad I went with the PC.
  13. Plus - the girls think you're really HOT when you're wearing it.
  14. You may be right. In the past postseason umpires were determined solely by seniority. Now they tend to factor performance in as well. Not enough but it's a start.
  15. Yes - Lawrie should be suspended. But shouldn't the umpire also be accountable for his actions? Why can't he sit out a game or two - or be fined at least. I know we can't read his mind but it sure looked like he was squeezing Lawrie.
  16. This is maddening! A week after my first marathon Adam's detailing I keep finding "spots" that need more work. I thought it was perfect but as soon as I see a spot that is slightly less than perfect I have to fix it. It never ends! I'm glad I got the 4" pads. Life was so much easier when I had a car I didn't care so much about....
  17. The suspension appeal is part of the Player's agreement with MLB. If managers or coaches are suspended they don't get to appeal. I think the system works well as long as the suspension length takes into account the pitcher's schedule so that he either misses a start or his next start is at least pushed back and the rotation is messed up....
  18. I really think it might be that his wrist is still weak. Even when he puts a good swing on the ball it doesn't go anywhere.
  19. I once spilled a whole crock-pot of baked beans in my '69 Nova. Car smelled great for MONTHS. I get hungry just thinking about it.....
  20. Trumbo is a very talented (and strong!) young man. He's going to be a great player for the LAAofA for a long time. Hopefully he can find a position.
  21. I'm wondering if you have some wax residue on the threads of the jar and/or lid. Maybe it's "glued" the lid to the jar. You might try wiping the threads on the jar and the lid with some APC before screwing it down again.
  22. I was pretty surprised the Rangers brought Yu back. I don't think it's a question of C.J.'s "manhood". I'm pretty sure management told him "no" when he really wanted to come back out. Still - I gotta give it to C.J. He pitched pretty well today. Angels looked a lot better today. Tomorrow's the rubber match!
