  1. Great work! I, too, have to clean-up cat-paw scratches. Good thing is that they are fairly easy to knock-out. I wonder, is it a bad idea to spot-treat those paw marks with Swirl&Haze, then polish, then wax?
  2. Or, maybe, we work out a deal for me to buy the bucket from you? Although, shipping a bucket around the states, twice, is kinda dumb...but i do need a good bucket.
  3. Godspeed, Larry...rest in peace.
  4. when I first saw this huge pesticide bottle idea, I thought it was ridiculous...but the more I think about it, I could totally make use of this when spraying down the vehicle with DS after the wash and before the dry..hmmm...interesting...
  5. Am I the only one here who doesnt care one bit about the Super Bowl? I dont watch the NBA or the NFL. Couldnt care less about them...Every year, I do my taxes during the game...same thing this year
  6. So what qualifies as a good sealer wax? Im all about Adams Machine Super Wax now that I have a PC. Before that I was into Zymol Japon and before that was Meg's Gold. Thoughts on these in terms of protection against salts and other winter chemicals? Thanks
  7. I totally agree. I figured that if I were to use it I would clean the blade with a WW and detail spray every little while. I really dont have any complaints about using the WW alone, so....'why fix it if it aint broke'
  8. Is there a time-frame for selling the honeycomb-surfaced orange pad? I took a chunk out of my current one and would like to replace with the new version when available.
  9. In my experience, the Gen2s are more flexible and get edges/curves better than the Gen1s. It just feels like they are easier to work with and like you arent going to snap the plate that supports them.
  10. That's awesome, Robert! Gotta love the strength of govt issued gear... btw, I just know there is someone out there who jacked their aluminum or chrome wheels with scouring powder (like, Ajax or Comet). I just wonder if they would ever fess up...
  11. ...you've ever done or seen done in detailing a vehicle? I'll start with a couple: 1. I once used that Mr. Clean auto wash system. Sounded like a good idea - you dont have to dry the vehicle and the system is cheaper than a real water purification system. Too bad it's soap has close to zero suds and (appears to be) super full of detergents. I've obviously come a long way in my car detailing education! 2. I once saw an Iraqi woman (new to the states and, obviously, washing a car) wash her Mercedes with a two-sided dish sponge, then dry it with paper towels! Sounds like a lie, I know....I wish I hadn't seen it. That poor car looked like it had been worked over with steel wool.
  12. how big of a problem is it to get Adams Glass Cleaner on the finish?
  13. I clayed my Taco a couple days ago and I found myself wondering if I was using too much detail spray. I used enough so that the clay moved easily along the surface and there was no dragging. However, I began to question if the clay needs to drag a little in order to pick up junk off the finish. Like, was I merely sliding the clay along a coat of detail spray and not really doing any good???
  14. Here's a pic to make you all cringe. Yes, he has all his claws!

    Suggest a LCD TV

I have a 37'' Olevia LCD. $600 at Target about a year ago. It had a great picture with HDTV, but the picture with SDTV is horrible. Also, the remote is lacking in features. All in all, an entry level and i am pleased with it.
  16. Im curious to see how its better. I have no issues with APC, so......
  17. Best of luck! I, too, was in IT until I made the partial switch to HR application support. It was a change in the right direction, and Im much happier b/c of it. That being said, I spend my free time trying to figure out how to support my lifestyle detailing cars...I just cant convince myself of how to do it... Anyway, it takes cajones to be in your shoes. Knock 'em dead.
  18. Perfect timing! I am taking Friday off from work to detail my truck with the Gen2s!! Thanks, Adam!
  19. Is it ok to throw all wash/dry/polish goods in the washer at the same time? For example, the wash mitt, white WW towel, blue MF?
  20. DANG! That's an awesome job you did to remove those swirls! You have some tips you can share? You really did a great job...
  21. Also, Adam, what do you use to clean her up? A little detail spray and MF?
  22. Just now getting back to this thread, I wanted to echo Adam's thoughts in that I never intended to hijack this thread. Bert, your truck is friggin sweet! Also, ITS GOOD TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR! I live in Sooner Nation (puke, puke) and I was SO pumped to see Florida take them down!
  23. Sweet...quality time. My son was a fiend for 'sweet potatoes and bananas' baby food. Yuck!
  24. Used this towel for the first time yesterday. I was worried that I only had one and it wouldnt be enough to dry my double cab toyota tacoma. well, it was large enough and it worked great! I only broke out my other towels when to dry the inner door frame and nerf bars. and that's a big deal for me as I was in love with my old MF towels after combining them with Adams detail spray. anyway, this towel is amazing and well worth the $
  25. Finally got a chance to try this out today. It was my first wash and dry using 100% Adams products. In one hyphenated word: friggin-awesome! The wash creates WAY more suds than anything I've ever seen. It looked like my truck had been foamed with a foam gun or something. Also, I didn't realty use that much soap. I can tell this bottle will last a while. The wash mitt is huge and holds tons of water. Really cuts down the wash time by having such a large footprint. The detail spray and white WW towel made drying a breeze. I was worried about leaving the soap on until the end of the wash but I have yet to find a streak or water spot. Even though I have dark blue truck and this was done in the sun. In the end, I am once again impressed with Adams stuff and excited to use them. Totally worth the $ over those products you find around town.
