    Rss?

Is it possible to add an RSS feed to this forum? I would prefer getting updates via RSS as opposed to reloading the "new posts" thread multiple times a day. I should more about RSS than I do, but I wonder what it would take to make this happen??? Thanks
  3. So, like, where is heck is everyone this week (especially today)?! Spring Break? The forum has been unusually slow...
  4. That's funny, I have been contemplating buying enough blue MF towels to do that exact thing. My only problem is that it would take too many to cover my truck. I also thought about using the WW as it is larger, but Im not sure it is soft enough...
  5. I also wonder if there is a reason why BSG is not sold by the gallon. I can see myself going through tons of that.
  6. Pardon my ignorance, but what is considered 'concierge medical service'? Sounds interesting.
  7. I am a software developer currently in exile in an HR organization...
  8. Junkman, that is a great explanation and those diagrams are awesome... Thanks for posting this!
  9. Just a quick follow-up on my earlier post. I took the Taco out of the garage for a few pics. The sky was extremely hazy, so the lighting in the pics sucks... I hope to get some better pics this weekend after a wipedown with DS.
  10. Rez, I had the same concerns. I had heard too many ppl talk about "burning" the clear coat and creating nasty hazy patterns. At some point I decided to just give it a shot. This must have been after watching Adam's DVD and seeing how easy he makes it look. After tackling my dark blue and forrest green vehicles, I can say that my only regret is not trying the PC earlier. Its not as easy for me as it is for Adam (and others, Im sure), but it is still straightforward and safe. I LOVE my results and now have confidence in my PC skills...and that's a lot from someone with little mechanical ability. jump in with both feet...everyone on this forum has your back!!
  11. Wow! Is that the same vehicle? Great job!
  12. I just spray it on the applicator, gently wipe it on the surface and then wait for it to dry.
  13. It took me a while to come around and actually try the Brilliant Spray Glaze, but I sure am glad I did. This is an amazing product! It gives my finish lots of depth and provides a silky smooth shine. I think it provides more tangible results than any other single product I have used...I love it. Here are some shots from my recent work/play. 1. BSG separates by desing...its ok...a quick shake takes care of it. 2. I always hold the mf applicator over the surface I am glazing so as to catch any overspray. This stuff is liquid gold and I dont want to waste a drop! 3. It's super easy to apply. Simply slide the mf applicator along the surface and cover the clean/dry paint, glass and chrome. Very easy and theraputic...lol..the following is a shot of my truck as the product dries. It doesnt take long to dry, but I always allow more than enough time. I gave it a couple hours on a warm, dry day. 4. Using an Adams blue MF towel, it's super easy to remove the dried product. It creates a tiny amount of fine dust, which is easily swallowed up by the MF. The following is a pic after I started to remove the BSG from the windshield. Its obvious where I have/not removed it. 5. The pic isnt a good one, but I hope it shows how great the shine is on the glass, at least (I know its too dark to really see the paint). The best words I have to describe the results of using BSG are 'silky smooth' and 'BANG!'. The shine is smooth and the metallic qualities of the paint pop out at you. Love this stuff. I will take the truck out of the garage as soon as the local grass fires are controlled and the soot is knocked out of the air..I'll be sure to post some real pics of the results.
  14. I bet you're right. Im really looking for the boar's hair brush more than anything else. That and a deal on DS and BSG. I think those are the only things I can justify buying at this point...too many daily special purchases!
  15. I'll take two of each and a dozen roses for my wife, please. Thank you
  16. Carl, Im really surprised. I know that I have never had an issue with my orders shiping quickly. in fact, I usually place the order on a Friday night and I always have it the next Thursday. Im sure Jason and Rob will take care of you.
  17. Do red LED bulbs work well to highlight surface scratches??? Here's the story. I was taking pics of my work while I removed the BSG residue. All was going well and I was super happy with my results (I had previously used the PC with Gen 2 pads to remove minor swirls, polish, wax). I moved in close for a pic and the red light (not sure what purpose it serves) on the camera was reflecting off the hood in such a way that I could see - as plain as day - some webbing. Here's the kicker: under no circumstances could I see those scratches without the red light from the camera. I tried haolgen light, conventional, you name it. It was like there was nothing but perfect paint there until I hit it with the red light... I tested my find with the red LED on my "headlight" unit: It seems to work really well! I was able to see lots of scratches that I had never seen before. Although, I would have liked to keep on believing I had a perfect finish... Can anyone confirm/disprove this?
  18. Im curious...what was the bad experience? what could go wrong with BSG?
  19. I use the following approach to correcting scratches/swirls: 1. Orange pad with Swirl & Haze remover 2. White pad with Fine Machine Polish (FMP) 3. Black pad with Machine Super Wax For less serious stuff I use the white pad with a combo of S&H and FMP. I like my results! Also, I have yet to use the Buttery Wax, but I will be picking some up soon. From what I can tell, it really adds depth and shine, but not so much protective quality as the Super Machine Wax.
  20. The big hole that I see in this order is DETAIL SPRAY!!! This is a must-have! Also, I would add Brilliant Spray Glaze and Invisible Undercarriage Spray. The BSG is amazing and really makes your finish pop. The IUS does just what its name implies. Your whell wells will have a nice matte finish, making them look great compared to nasty discolored stuff. Oh, and if you are going to use the Swirl & Haze Remover, I strongly suggest you follow with some Fine Machine Polish. It's good for correcting any marks made by the orange pad in the previous step. Oh, and since you are going to correct your finish and make it glass-like, I imagine you want to keep it that way. For that reason I suggest the car wash (tons of suds), the wash mitt (super soft) and the white towel (soaks up water and is super soft as well). Oh, and the grit-guard bucket insert. Oh, and....
  21. lol...good point...I guess I would really like to see Adam, or a similar pro, take on a really jacked-up finish. I know that a lot of ppl on here have sweet Vettes that are garage kept and otherwise pampered, but Im sure we all have a DD that is less perfect and requires more elbox grease.... Hey Adam, how about a full detail on that beast Excusrion of yours??? I wonder if you could lift up your lil girl after clay barring that monster?
