  1. What are you getting over the counter to dissolve iron thats paint safe? DWC is currently the best value and smelling iron decon product on the market hands down.
  2. I wouldnt use a GW to dry HGG since youre gonna have to buff it off.
  3. Read this before I went outside to wash and thought it cant be bad Im in RI. I was wrong, DWC in the eye lol.
  4. Doing a rinseless on the truck and my 2 yr old thought itd be a great idea to help Dad by "wash wash" with a fresh towel out of the bucket on the sandy salty driveway lol. -1 Towel in garbage.
  5. A small wash pad like that would be nice. I have dedicated wheel towels that I use now. I have a lug brush and woolies as well but just for the barrel. For painted piano black wheels a brush is a no no.
  6. I have a 1 gal pump sprayer from HD that I put 1oz of rinseless in with 1 gal of water. I use that to presoak for rinseless washes. I tend to prefer dual knap towels for my rinseless, plus on one side and shorter on another. I tend to use the plush side for washing which gives me 4 sides, enough for 1 section. Then I wring it out and flip/fold for the short nap unused side and dry most of the water off the panel. This is all personal preference though. For the towels that Adam's offers I would prefer using double softs. I tend to feel that a fluffy ~470gm such as a single soft is a little to soft/flimsy when completely soaked in solution and won't hold the square shape as well. As far as car shows go. I have the small Adam's detailing bag as my Emergency Detail Bag that I keep in the car. Glass Cleaner, Detail Spray, TID, QD diluted Rinseless and multiple towels stay in there at all times. Rinseless or RTU WW for car shows and plenty of good towels.
  7. I agree with Mike and Jason. I think of applying Americana or Patriot like a cool down. All the harder stuff is done and I get to relax and grab that beautiful wax, pick up some fresh fluffy towels and go to town panel by panel admiring my hard work.
  8. You'd be surprised what pollen will swirl. This is when diluted rinseless in spray bottles pays for itself. I keep multiple bottles of rinseless diluted to QD ratio around.
  9. Before the truck I had a '13 Boss and I agree here. Those tail lights swirl just looking at them, I swear they're made out of black fondant. Best bet would be dry with air.
  10. Welcome back! There's a lot of options out there and plenty that works well. I use Adam's products because of their business model, customer service and quality of products.
  11. If all you want from a drying aid is to get a streak/spot free finish then it will work great. You should be able to minimize drying induced marring by blow drying the majority of water with a master blaster or similar and then finish dry leftover spots with your RTU WW. I do this method now with Detail Spray and once my HGG gets in I will be using that to finish.
  12. I've only had 1 crack on me, an old 16oz APC after sitting through a frozen winter. Small crack on the bottom. It's kind of a give and take with plastic. I actually like the stiffer clear plastic that they use for the bottles now even if it's a small risk of cracking. The other option is the plastic like the DWC bottle that's less likely to crack but "sucks in" from pressure. I prefer the stiff clear bottles.
  13. I did a quick rinseless on the truck today and it was already pretty late in the day. It's already sealed and looked pretty good but I wanted to add some pop for the weekend. So I go sifting through the cart and fridge.....Detail Spray....Americana....Patriot........Brilliant Glaze!! Man, I forgot how much I love this stuff. Sometimes in our quest for the ultimate protection we forget about the joy of just making things shiny as F#%@. BG I'm sorry I've neglected you so long.
  14. I generally do the whole car if Im using the hose first to knock off big dirt. Dry after and go back with detail spray to finish and take care of any spotting/streaks. If you dont mind this last step then its fine. I think most of the guys saying do, "one panel at a time" dont want to go back over with detail spray. The new H2O Gloss is going to be perfect for this as a finishing agent I think.
  15. Yeap Im gonna need this by the gallon. Currently I dry the truck with a dedicated car dryer but I still have some tiny beads in places so I go back with detail spray to finish dry and take out any spotting. This is going to be perfect for my finishing dry step for perfect shine.
  16. Don't be afraid to break it up into stages either. It's going to take a long time to polish that whole truck so if you don't have access to an indoor space with it for over 12 hours just piece it out. You can always wash and clay it then hit up your test spot. After you're comfortable with what you need done, correct one door or the hood and then seal it. It makes it much less daunting for me doing a piece as I get time.
  17. I'd say 6 is a safe bet as well. Roof, Hood/Bumper, Side, Side, Trunk, Rear. Depends how long your car is for the sides though.
  18. It's a 16oz bottle, that'd be one expensive bottle of coating lol.
  19. How much time is no time and how dirty? For lightly dusty/dirt I have a gallon pump sprayer from HD I fill with rinseless solution. Spray panel and clean dry car a panel at a time. Quick and easy More time more dirt I combine that with a bucket with rinseless full of towels. Pre spray and commence multi towel wash.
  20. Everyone has a differing opinion of what perfect paint looks like. Most of our views on the forum differ quite a bit from your average person including your friend and probably even yourself right now. You say his paint doesn't look that bad, which to you means it looks pretty good? To me that's a red flag that it probably is bad and needs polishing. A lot of people don't even know what you're talking about when you say swirls and think anything short of a deep scratch is not a defect in the paint. If you can't see minor swirls right now and think everything's fine you have two options. I still recommend you take the Adam's pill.
  21. Agreed, Revive change to AIO finishing polish, cleaner, sealant would be amazing.
  22. I could see them combining Undercarriage into this product. That's probably their least selling product and if they offer a thick version that could be diluted for spray or applied directly for a shinier look it could work. It wouldn't necessarily steal away from VRT since SVRT has a more matte look. Plus a thick version to apply with a foam pad would be less messy for the garage/driveway floor and last a long time.
  23. I love the leather conditioner smell but my truck is cloth so it would only work on the Explorer. I still like Dylan's idea of soaking a cotton ball in detail spray and put it under the seat.
  24. Is the color correct? It seems thick, if you look at the top of the bottle there are bubbles held in suspension at the liquid line and it generally looks Shampoo consistency. HMMMMMM It's Undercarriage color... I don't see a strip wash coming out so I wanna say some kind of dressing but there's already a new tire shine. I'm gonna say Adam's new Interior conditioner/gel for Plastic/rubber/vinyl.
