  1. I think it would be awesome if Adam's made it an adjustable pole and the end was a back plate on a ball joint, maybe velcro on the back plate. Then the pads could be like a one sided wash pad with velcro back, that way you could pull the pads off and rinse them off on the grit guard or use multiple pads and put it back on the stick. Kind of like a baller detail swiffer I guess lol. I mean the pads would be proprietary for it but I would totally buy that package with the stick and a couple pads. DO IT!!!!
  2. I can't wait for this as well. Doing the roof and hood of the truck is an ordeal. For the hood I stand on each tire and can get each side of it from there. That means grabbing the base of the wiper and pulling myself up there. For the roof I can stand in my bed and get the back half but then I have to get down and open the driver/passenger door and stand on the floor of the truck with the door open to get the front quarters of it. Big Trucks want the Adam's truck washer!!!
  3. Very cool man. Did you know they used your pics in a commercial? Did they ask you?
  4. Makes me think you have one of the original containers and want to use the applicator that came with it? Why not just transfer the wax into your nicer old container?
  5. Much more wash media in a rinseless, pad/towel literally soaked and dripping. I still prefer the multiple wash pad/towel method too but the initial cost is more. Like Dylan said just cause its a rinseless doesn't mean you can't use the hose to knock off serious dirt first. I always do. I like to fill my bucket with really hot water from inside too and if there's bad spots I'll lay a soaked MF on that spot for a bit. Edit: on phone. Dylan beat me to it.
  6. Replace the duster with the small detail bag. Mine stays in the car with rinseless solution spray bottle, DS, glass cleaner, TID and towels.
  7. I think it was far too situational for the price. For the mobile detailing guy sure it would be useful. If you're doing it from a shop or your house, you have your stash of pads and a washer. Personally I just prefer to dump that money into more pads and then just wash them all but I have a good amount of pads.
  8. I lube my pads with rinseless anyway. If you just washed it and dried it as best you could I will probably still be pretty wet when you use it but it wouldn't hurt anything aside from maybe diminishing cutting power for a bit.
  9. Crew Cabs are big trucks, sometimes it doesn't hit you until you're halfway into the detail. Mine was in pretty rough shape from the dealer, worst I've seen for a new car actually. I hit it with a wash, clay, 1 step polish to get it ~80%, seal, and then tossed some Patriot on her. From now I can go panel by panel and get them from 80%-100% as I get time without driving myself insane from so many hours of straight polishing.
  10. Well said, nothing like calling to place an order and having Adam pick up and be able to help you right there!
  11. This is good, it keeps Adam's about what we all like about it. I don't think anyone wants to see it go the way of amazon or some of the "other guys" just to save a day or two on shipping.
  12. Cool to hear. I love this stuff man, I use the crap out of it. It nice to see it will get a little bump in the cleaning department!
  13. I think there's definitely a place for them. The detail business guys mainly. People that pay to have their car detailed every so often would probably want the coating.
  14. We've had this discussion before here and I agree with Matt. I still have some 22PLE pro left. Do I like it? Yes it's good but it's expensive and a giant pain in the *** to apply. My cars are dailies and I'll never see the life out of a coating because I will want to polish it again well before it's time is up. I honestly prefer Adam's new sealant now, you can easily get 6 months out of it and it has great characteristics for me. Applying it with a polisher is so fast and easy it makes putting a coating on seem like a trek through the desert. If you think you're going to seriously get the full life out of a coating without wanting or needing to polish out even minor stuff then go for it but I have yet to.
  15. If goo gone won't touch it you might have to step it up to one of these. http://www.amazon.com/AES-Industries-Smart-Eraser-Adaptor/dp/B00488DDB8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417827791&sr=8-1&keywords=eraser+wheel Will take it off in like 3 seconds.
  16. Wow, I didn't see that coming. Welcome back for sure! I think we all felt that loss so it's awesome to have you back.
  17. Everyone also just thinks about the normal corrections you'll do with the polisher but it really pays to have it when the unexpected happens. Scuffs from someone's door/car scraping you while you're out, random crazy water spots that won't come off with clay(happens with really hard water or bad rain), etc. It's great when something like that happens and you're like NBD it'll buff right out. Some personal experience lol http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/24291-trying-out-the-new-polishes/
  18. I think most of us here have had a PC and don't really use it much or at all anymore for a reason. I love detailing my stuff but honestly the polishing part is not what I enjoy. It's a necessary evil for me. The quicker I can get through it without tiring out and get to the stuff I enjoy (seal/wax/detail) the better. Also, given your ride you're a successful person. While you may save $200 on a PC over a flex/cyclo, what's 8 more hours of your time worth on a detail? Or when you get all day into it and realize how much more you have to do still with the PC.
  19. So the paint was worse than I originally thought. I swear someone at the dealer was using it as research for their Crop Circle dissertation. Long sweepers down the whole thing. In one spot I think they held a cat up to it and hit him with a branding iron. Needless to say Winter is here so I gave her a good solid clay and one step. Got her to probably 80% by OCD Detail standards. If it wasn't black it'd be easily passable in direct sunlight. I called it good for now and sealed her up since that alone took me from 9am-5:30 PM one day. Today I broke out the good stuff. Crappy cell pics before Paint done for now. Trim/Interior TBD And the throwback Dylan The orange peel in Dodge paint jobs is Real.
  20. QS is awesome, it just makes me cough a lot. It's so nice for everything I'm too lazy to seal normally or can't get to easily.
