  1. Aaron fantastic work as always, if you are thinking of turning this art into something full time, contact us for support we can assist.
  2. Hi Kyle, Welcome to our forums! The car looks great. Usually factory clear coated wells can be cared for like your paint. Adam's Paint Correcting Polish and the Finishing Polish would be the best ticket here. Start with the least aggressive (Finishing Polish) and see where that gets you. If needed step up to the Correcting Polish. As always, work on a clean and cool wheel. Given the design of your wheels it looks like hand polishing would be the way to go. You can use the blue microfibre pads to apply the polish(es). They are soft and able to be squeeze in tight spaces. Let us know how you go. p.s don't forget to seal all your hard work.
  3. Billy, Happy to hear about your recent purchase! Even though you have posted on Adam's forums and Justin and Jason have happily assisted you in noticing this, I'm happy to help you further. The Polishes and pads that come with the Rupes polisher have been designed with that particular machine in mind and they produce noticeable results. At the end of the day, no matter what brand (Adam's or other) I'm a firm believer in trying a bit of everything and see which one 'sticks' for you and your technique. As you perfect your technique and hone in on what results you're after your detailing inventory will change. You will find one brand works to get the results you want or it may be a mixed bag. Adam's Polishes is here as another selection for you. Give us a try, all of our products are backed by 110% satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, let us know and make 10 points. A few pointers on that Bigfoot, since the throw is larger than other machines be cautious around tight spaces (door handles, B pillars). Not sure if you have a PC with 4" plate or Cyclo? They are perfect as standalone polishers and partners. And great for the smaller spaces. If you're considering Adam's, starter's can be; 6.5" Orange Pad (foam or MF) 6.5" White Pad (foam or MF) Paint Correcting Polish Paint Finishing Polish
  4. Greeting from Australia! Welcome to the forums.
  5. True! Went diving in open ocean with Great White Sharks. The next person watches the V8 supercar championship in Australia on pay TV
  6. Here Here! Thanks for sharing. As a relative new distributor, from the time I came on board to a few months ago, we definitely felt something was off. Glad to hear we are back on track, can't wait to see the new service and new products down the line! Best of luck with the transition if there is anything we can do to help let me know.
  7. Pre-treatment with APC and MF-RV then throw in the wash usually on warm, 2 rinse and high spin works for us. Adding a squirt or two of MF-RV direct in the drum works fine as well. However, it has been said that our washing machines spin the opposite way to the northern hemisphere, so beware
  8. Hi All, Thought I'd share this for a laugh. A well know supplier/competitor of car care goods in Australia is getting creative by reusing Adam's Polishes Detailing Meme's. This was sent to us by one of our customers who shops with us and the other supplier (which is absolutely fine by us!). Looks like subliminal advertising our Detail Spray is their thing. We must be doing something right!
  9. Hi Aaron, Thanks for sharing your story and welcome to Adam's Forums- there are definitely plenty of tips and tricks to be found here. I hope all is well on your side of the country and I'm looking forward to some photos of post correction. Regarding taking pictures of swirls, it can be hit and miss and I'm with the cohort that good lighting does help. I've found personal success with switching to manual focus on a DSLR or point and shoot camera and adjusting the focal point to bring out the swirls. If there is anything we can assist with further, let me know.
  10. Fantastic! Now you call the shots on the next car- make it easy, make it hard...It's all a bit of fun to pass the time Love that blue as well!
  11. False. The next person failed their first licence test.
  12. Hi All, This game is simple. I'll start by posting a section of a car, the first person to correctly guess at least the make & model (kudos points for the year) wins and posts the next section of a another car to all to guess. How well do you know your automobiles?
  13. Hi All, I stumbled across this blog/website on our Facebook feed and felt the need to share. http://detailingaddict.com/news/importance-standing-ground/ What are your thoughts?
  14. Did you happen to section off a test spot on your hood? This is helpful as it will tell you how many passes of each product is needed to reach your desired results with your technique. Be sure not to use too much product, 3 pea size drops/small X on the pad should be enough to test. In the earlier days of detailing I made a mistake of polishing the whole car with a two step polish then later discovering that I had some swirls remaining. A test spot (about 12 x 12) will do you a world of good. Any stubborn or deeper scratches can be revisited with the 4" pads and a drill. Regarding technique, slow and overlapping passes (about 50%) with moderate pressure (weight of the machine plus weight of your arms) is a good guideline. Some panels may need more attention (hood, roof etc) it will be up to you once you get a feel what the panel responds to.
  15. Brian that is an epic feat on 10 hour days and working on your detailing the last two nights! From what I understand from your post, you have polished the car to a state your happy with and now you have tape all over with some dust/caking on the edge of the tape. Now its time to seal. In this case I would I remove all the tape from trim and door gaps etc. buff away any caked up residue with a MF towel, if there are some stubborn stains lightly spray the MF and wipe gently. Once there isn't any residues. Apply a small X of sealant on a Grey Pad and set your PC to a low speed and apply the sealant to the panel with light pressure. Once the Pad has absorbed most of the product you can venture near the door gaps without the risk of building up any sealant within. If you find there is heaps of dusting and caking of product in your polish routine, try a little less product per pad, per panel. Hope this helps, good luck and keen to see some pics.
  16. I believe that the manufacturer cannot produce them as fast as Adam's can sell them. "Hex Grip Applicators, supplied by our #1 worst performing vendor, when they informed us that instead of a crazy 8-week lead time, there is now a 16-20 week lead time, can go BYE BYE! They couldn't fill our orders when there was an 8 week lead time, and now, 20? That's insane, and they couldn't make enough to fill orders for half that long." http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/26264-you-askwhy-have-we-removed-products-from-our-site/ We have some remaining if you're keen to purchase from Australia (Given that no other options are available)
