b_pappy reacted to Team Adam's in Impromptu Family Road Trip Today
Life has been hectic lately so this morning as my wife and I sat around the living room I suggested "how about we just go for a drive today?" Thinking maybe some quality family time in the truck would be a nice way to spend our Sunday rather than getting tied up in housework, projects, etc.

She immediately lit up - "How about we drive to Wyoming?"

Funny thing is, living in California our whole lives you kind of get stuck in that part of the country. We hit northern CA, we drove down to the border, we've been to Vegas and Arizona... but now living in CO we're a little more central to a lot more of the country.

So we packed Tanner up, grabbed some snacks and hit the road today. We drove north, stopping in Ft. Collins which was beautiful. (NOTE TO SELF: work on saving up money to move to Ft. Collins, CO). After a quick lunch there we jumped back on the road and headed towards Cheyenne, WY.

Along the way we saw all kinds of cool stuff. Since I was so consumed with just having a fantastic day with my family I didn't take a ton of pictures. We wandered thru the old west parts of Cheyenee (buildings dating as far back as the 1860's) We stopped at the capital building which was built in 1878.

When we finished up in Cheyenne we figured we could keep exploring north... so we continued on to a small town about 65 miles north called Chugwater. It was as small as it sounds... population 212 (and I think that was being generous) we stopped in front of a cool old/abandonded hotel. As best I could tell the plaque outside indicated it was built in 1922. Just thought it was a cool, forgotten part of the world

Since we'd gone that far we figured we might as well keep exploring. After all, the farther north we went, the less populated the world seemed. So we left Chugwater and continued north... driving thru some beautiful scenery until we got to a point where there were no signs of civilization we found a turn off and found a dirt road that wandered (in increasingly less maintained fashion) thru the plains and into a valley where there was just nothing but beautiful views.

On the drive out this isolated road I stopped to snap a few pics of the truck.

The view coming back down out of the hills towards the highway

Based on where I picked up GPS I mapped out the journey and made this map.

This trip was such a great reminder of whats important. A great day with my wife and Tanner just enjoying the scenery and seeing some places we had never seen. No shopping malls, amusement parks, and not even taking a ton of pics. Just being consumed with exploring new places and being with eachother. Saw some truly breathtaking things today.

My wife happened to catch this picture of me wandering thru the fields looking for a shot with my camera that I thought was cool.

    Hope you enjoyed the pics.

    Thanks for reading / looking!

My wife Melissa was amazing, and I was with her for the entire labor and birth.   She had a natural birth, no shots or drugs until after birth, when she wanted to double down on the pain killers!

God is good.  Thanks for your kind thoughts and words on our Facebook page.  I'm off to change another poopy diaper!

    Nick,
Bubbles in the sidewall? That sounds like a defect, not wear. Not sure what brand they are, but I would try and get at least some compensation.
I have Michelin Pilot Sports on my Corvette and I think it's a great performance tire. Does well in rain too, but only had it in snow once. Tires are made in the USA.

One thing I've found with the TID is that if your interior has already been treated with Leather Conditioner, the TID will strip it. So I suggest using one or the other, or TID followed by Leather Conditioner, but don't use it after.

Is there anyway to change the colors of the forum? The varying shades of gray lettering are sometimes difficult to read on my computer. I would prefer more contrast. Yeah, part of th eproblem may be my eyes are getting older.
Now I have to chase some kids off my lawn before the Matlock marathon!

Your rotors should of been lightly painted before mounting. this prevents rust in the little holes and slots. I don't know what to do to clean them. But if you figure it out I would clean them of all rust then lightly paint them.

b_pappy reacted to Team Adam's in Adam's Dealer Training Event 2013
What an AWESOME weekend! Dealers from all over the world descended on the Adam's Polishes Headquarters for a few days of fun, training, and strategy. We had partners from Canada, Mexico, Trinidad, Saudi Arabia, and all over the US in attendance!

We kicked off the event with a meet and greet in the warehouse, where we also jumped into a bus and attended a Rockies game at Coors Field. For the record the Rox took down the Giants in a great game that featured the usual mile high fireworks, including a grand slam.

Bright and early Saturday we had an in depth training on our newest polishes and other up coming releases to be sure that our distributors can help provide service and technical knowledge when they are released. Everyone got their hands on the latest products, so if your local dealer attended you'll be able to get their feedback now, and they might just spill the beans on some other things coming down the pipe.

The group enjoyed presentations from Lynn on making the most of their shows and clinics and Ashley went over updates to our wholesale program that will help our guys in the field provide better service and selection to their local customers.

We wrapped the event up with an awards dinner at the fabulous Boulderado Hotel where multiple awards were handed out for categories like customer service, distributor of the year, and up and coming dealer. All this while we enjoyed drinks, dinner, deserts and lots of laughs. As you can see from the picture above we had quite the turnout and its just more evidence of how much our little business has grown.

Thank you to all of the awesome dealers and distributors that came out to be a part of the event. Thanks to our entire team for putting together what I would consider a first class training and social event. A lot has been changing around the HQ lately and our team has taken on the challenges and met them with enthusiasm and hard work. Also a HUGE thanks to the Chief Detailer himself for gathering such a great collection of people and hosting such a stellar, first class, event.

If any of our dealers who was able to attend has pictures they'd like to share please post them here, and thanks again for coming out. We enjoyed hosting all of you.

    Honestly I loved vBulletin.

I already miss the "My Posts" hot link at the top bar, used to click it all the time to see if anyone responded to my posts.

I also really wish there were custom skins available  I have a dark charcoal/black skin for gmfullsize.com and it helps so much with my eyes when I read the forums in bed at night. White backgrounds kill my eyes at night in the dark.

    Just some constructive criticism
