  1. I'll use this thread to post pictures and progress if my CTS-V Wagon.

So far the car had only been lowered and windows tinted. I started getting the itch to change a few things.

As always I start with a wash.

I started with pulling the bumper to get access to the headlights.

The headlights went to the oven to be separated. After disassembly I had access to the orange marker which was painted black. I will also be upgrading to LED daytime running lights.

While the bumper was off I was lucky to get a smoking deal on some ho fast parts.

Upper pulley, larger heat exchanger and dual oil catch cans.

The install is all still in work. I also picked up a ZL1 supercharger lid to replace the stock ugly one. It will add better cooling for the supercharger as well.

I'm still waiting on parts and should it mostly wrapped up next week.

  2. Well since you mentioned it lol I do have a few questions for you. A little background about me; I've only been into detailing for the past 2 years so I don't have a ton of experience but do tons and tons of research. Girlfriend, friends and family say I'm addicted too much.haha Say I clean my cars too much.lol I've winter prepped 8 cars and done only 2 paint corrections for the vehicles. For those vehicles I used an AIO Polish which as you know is only one step.

Now to my questions, what polisher(s) did you use, pads and what polish did you use on the GT3? What steps did you start with and then of course end on. I have a car that rarely leaves the garage (only had it out 3 times this past summer). Had it repainted 3 years ago and have noticed a few very light to lightly moderate scratches, I'd love for my car to look like the results of this GT3. Very interested in finding out the steps you took to make the GT3 look flawless.

    Sent you a PM.

  3. One if those cars you can't stop looking at.

I spent a good amount of time removing old polish/wax residue around all the decals and stripes. The paint wasn't too bad of shape but still needed help.

The owner gets out and drives this car. It's been driven to almost every GT rally since it was new.

  4. After the car show Sunday I finally decided it was time to put the wagon away for the last bit of winter left. I've been looking forward to throwing this cover on for a few months now.

The cover is the custom weave indoor cover but I do leave my garage door open for extended periods so I also threw my factory GM cover on top.

It's stretchy, soft and fits great.

The kids were happy to have more room in the garage to play.

  5. This one needed serious help. 25 hours into this 800 hp beast then we get to the car show and the owner wiped it down with looked like a bath towel. I was very frustrated and couldn't help but ask what happened to his paint. Long story short, this Viper will be at a few shows this year as a demo car.

Before my work was destroyed here's what she looked like. Finished with Brilliant Glaze and coat of Patriot.
