  1. Some VRT woke up the trim, tires, and textured bumpers. Looks much better than it did. It needed lots of help, so I used Severe Swirl & Haze Remover, Swirl & Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish, and finished with Machine Super Sealant. My son said no matter what I do, white will not shine as impressive as dark colors, so I stopped there. Camaro turned out awesome! I used Swirl & Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish, Machine Super Sealant, Brilliant Glaze, and Americana. I actually did the Camaro first, then the Cavalier. My green, orange, and white pads were ruined, so I guess I'll be ordering the new paint correction system.
  2. I'm on vacation this week, so I decided to tackle two cars. We just bought the 1996 Cavalier for my son as a first car. He is having difficulty learning to drive, so we got him this. Mechanically it is great, but the interior and exterior needed some serious attention. The interior was filthy, so out came the seats. The stain was soy sauce. Turned out GREAT! Used Adam's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, Leather and Interior Cleaner, and Total Interior Detailer. Shop vac took care of all of the pet hair! After completing the interior, I washed the exterior with Car Wash Shampoo and APC, then clayed it. I have never had a car soil a clay bar like this! Picture does not do the clay bar justice. After claying the Cavalier, I moved it to the garage and did IPA wipe downs on it and my Camaro. Then I taped them up.
  3. So sorry to see these photos. We've seen lots of footage on our local news too.
  4. Yup, this is one of the things I don't like about detailing; comments from the peanut gallery. "You should use M's stuff. It does the same thing in a couple of hours." I also dislike cleaning the inside my Camaro's rear glass.
  5. I always do a Waterless Wash wipe down when I return home from a show or cruise. Great stuff!
  6. I have detailed our company pool vehicles, but never a rental car.
  7. I checked on my order too, same status as yours. Way to go Adam's crew!
  8. Did a two bucket wash and Detail Spray dry on my Camaro today. Took a ride last night and collected a bunch of dead bugs on the front bumper cover.

  10. This weekend I worked on my wife's Soul. I did this car last year and wasn't in too bad of shape. It still beaded. But it needed to be clayed and a dealership ignored my hang tag and washed it. I'm guessing they painted something in the shop and tried to wash the fall out off. Here it is in all of its dust storm, multiple-road-trip glory. [/ Didn't look too bad after I washed and clayed it. Most of the fall out was on the left front corner. All of the bugs are gone. One work light is in the polished area, one is not. It wasn't badly scratched, and the camera had a hard time picking them up. Hood is done. All done I used Car Wash Shampoo, clay, Swirl and Haze Remover, Fine Machine Polish, Machine Super Sealant, Americana, Quick Sealant, VRT, glass cleaner, and Interior Detailer for this job. I also used IPA and Waterless Wash for the wipedowns.
  11. The auction goes off September 27, 28 not sure about the 29th.
  12. I would love to bid on (and win if it is decent) this '69 Chevelle SS 396. Lemans Blue/white top and interior is my favorite combination.
  13. Thanks Michael. Unless my PC dies, I'll try the new stuff when I run out of the old stuff. I actually have three more vehicles to do.
  14. We had a rare rainy weekend here in the west valley of Phoenix, so I decided to work on my Chevelle. I noticed at was looking somewhat hazy and the trunk lid had lots of scratches in it. Our cruising season will start back up again in about a month and I wanted my Chevelle to look its best. I started with an IPA wipe down. It felt very smooth before the wipe down, but after the existing wax layer was gone, I found out it need to be clayed. Wasn't real rough, but enough to make me spend some extra time on it. After the wipe down and claying, I taped it up. The roof wasn't real bad and only needed to be hit with Swirl and Hazed Remover (yes, I am still using the old stuff). And after hitting with Fine Machine Polish The trunk lid had lots of scratches and needed Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover, and Fine Machine Polish. After The hood and the rest of the car looked like this. I ended up using Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover, and Fine Machine Polish on the rest of the car. Made for a long afternoon! I like my PC, but I could probably save time getting something better. I tried to shoot some 50/50 shots, but that didn't work out. With the polishing done, I wiped the car down again with IPA, removed the tape, polished the edges, and applied Machine Super Sealant. Then I called it a night. Rained again today, so I worked on the Chevelle again today. I started with cleaning and applying Quick Sealant to all of the jambs while waiting for the MSS to cure. Afterwards, I applied Brilliant Glaze to the rest of the car and followed with Americana. I think spending two days on this car was worth it. My neighbor though I had it repainted. Adam's Products RULE! Since next weekend is a 3-day weekend, I'll polish my wife's Kia Soul.
  15. ...I have the closest thing to a mirror for my Holley carburetor. This is a GM heat shield for Holley carbs that was dingy. I sent the carb off for a full restoration and rebuild, so I decided to give this shield some attention while off the intake. Adams Metal Polish worked wonders on it. It's going to highlight my restored carburetor nicely when I get it back.
