  1. Used it two days ago for the first time. Really was thicker than I anticipated but this might be my new all time favorite product. I live basically in a neighborhood sandwiched between a brick factory and a cement factory both give or take 2 blocks away. My car is a daily driver and has no garage. Needless to say I ALWAYS have a dust layer on my car. I had learned to live with it, its an outdoor DD after all right? Fast forward to the Guard and Gloss, used it to see what it was about and couldn't be more impressed. I've never seen my car look this clean for this long (yes even 2 days). Everything just flies right off of it now instead of sticking to it. Water beads excellent, dust blows off when I move, shine is still there. And it didn't add hardly any time to the routine because I was drying the car as I used this stuff. Really really like this product so far. Side note, used 2 of the new Wash Wedges as well. Mostly good feeling towards these. They are much more durable than they look and they feel when you take them out of the box. I found that they are MUCH easier to clean at the end of a wash AND during a wash on a grit guard than a wash pad ever was and this is a big plus for me. They dry much quicker as well. They seem to be doing a fine job washing, equal to that of a wash pad on the car but I guess since my hand is further away it feels like it's not doing as much. I don't feel like I can really get in there you know? It was definitely easier to hold than a slippery flat wash pad though. It has replaced my wash pads for now though, they won't be getting wet for a while. That Guard and Gloss though......
  2. At least the glass cleaner.... Makes my aquarium glass look brand new. When you pay extra for low iron/extra clear glass it's worth it to keep it clean. I know people use it for house windows and such but it works great for aquarium glass! The bottle was sitting next to the tank so I thought I'd snap a photo.
  3. Thanks all. This is the gun i'm using: http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/MTM-Hydro-10.0001/p8445.html along with some ~$7 quick connect fittings on either side which I can also get the link for if you need it (gun link gives fitting sizes). This is the pressure washer http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200594736_200594736 I would of gone Adam's foam gun but since I already had the pressure washer I might as well go for a cannon. For roughly the same price I can get a cannon, its own gun and some fittings and just slap that on the end of the PW hose and be good, might as well! And the foam image above doesn't really show how thick it was.
  4. I just couldn't take the pollen anymore. And had some winter grime building up. Generally I'll try and wait it out but I just couldn't anymore. It will be back but I put on a fresh coat of everything (wax, glaze, etc) and clayed the car in the process so from here on out it should be easier to get it off. This is my daily driver with no garage cover so it is obviously not going to be fully pristine anyway. First I got a new toy and MAN is it awesome! You start looking for other things you can cover in foam for real....MTM foam cannon with a separate trigger so I can swap it and the stock pressure washer wand easily. This thing is legit. Only thing I'd consider changing is not having a quick release between the bottle and trigger. HOWEVER it is kinda cool and acts almost like a gimbal and lets the bottle hang straight while I turn the gun if need be. Sorry for the blue disco effect, Reef aquarium....which I use Adam's glass cleaner/sealant for! Here is the before wash, lighting is different I know....clouds what can ya do. Look at that grime and yellow crap all over! Even worse in person. And the wheels look black almost! Here is after, my wheels are actually grey again! Used all Adam's of course. New car shampoo, brilliant glaze, Americana (which I soon need more of), deep wheel cleaner, and some detail spray. I actually used an extra VRT Foam on the wheels because I don't have brushes and it seems to of worked really well on the plastidip.
  5. I got my car almost 2 years ago, never once been through an auto car wash with it and never plan to over its entire life with me. No thanks. Even the ones with the guys on the other end wiping the cars down, seeing them use the same towels for each vehicle makes me cringe as I drive past. I'm still young enough, i'll spend a day in the driveway doing it myself!
  6. Nope! Luckily I don't have to worry about salt, but spring here means a bright yellow car EVERY day. I hate pollen with a passion. Can wash and detail the whole car and within 5mins its yellow again. So no, not looking forward to Spring (which is already here). Looking forward to that short time in between spring and summer where the pollen fades but it isn't scorching hot yet.
  7. I hope it does end. If they try to recreate it with different hosts it will totally fail just like every other country that has done it including the TERRIBLE US version. Those 3 are a team and cannot be reproduced, ever. The banter was just to great and cohesive. I really hope to see them all again on something like a straight release to Netflix or similar type of show. If a network is smart they'd be making phone calls for the trio. Top Gear is done, BBC will soon be kicking themselves as they should. All I know is I will NOT be watching without Clarkson, Hammond, and May. RIP Top Gear.
  8. Thanks all. I plan to just use the car shampoo. Before I sprayed it on i did a good cleaning with the deep wheel cleaner, which is awesome by the way.
  9. Thanks all. It has a factory drop, its an RT but it sits as low as the SRT does. Not sure I want to drop it anymore. I really need to get a picture in full sun.
  10. Well, was out plasti dipping my wheels and after taking the picture of them I noticed how shiny the car looked so I thought I'd post the picture here since only Adam's products have been used on the car. You can see various Adam's towels laying around in the picture. Not the best picture as it came from my iphone but you can see, pretty good reflection. It actually needs washing if you get up close lol...time to break out the 2 buckets and wash pads.
  11. South Louisiana, would a truck stop smell not be desirable? LOL....its a cologne!
  12. SCMatt

    Slam it!

I gotta ask.......why?! Why do that to a car? Looks terrible and clearly doesn't function without more work. Ridiculous.
  13. Going out right now to get some lemon pledge.....and I'll probably just cut up and old ratty dirty tshirt to use with it as a rag like we did in the house to dust furniture when I was younger. About to get the ULTIMATE shine...... Are they serious?
  14. Might be a long post, so warning! Its actually the first time I've ever waxed or polished a car. For a beginner let me just say this was a breeze with these products. If it weren't for the 90+ degree heat and humidity it would have been even better. I did an entire wash, claybar, sealant, brilliant glaze, americana....and cleaned the windows! Looking back now it was probably a terrible idea to do that in one sitting in this heat. I feel pretty bad now from the heat but slowly recovering. I didn't do the wheels, Just couldn't do it today. Adam's literally makes it so you can't fail at this....there's almost no way. If you do then I don't know what to tell you. Watch the videos and go to it, SO easy. Having that visual guide is perfect. I didn't have trouble removing any of the products, the towels and applicators are EXCELLENT, and every product except the glass sealant has a good smell lol. Now its just a matter of keeping it up until I need to wax again down the line, easy! I think the most trouble I had was having to fight the heat. Caused me to do smaller areas and have to wipe it away quicker, and me being a beginner the pace was pretty rough. Here in SC the products will haze up almost instantly. Otherwise it was an excellent first experience for me. After the wash and claybar when I put the quick sealant and brilliant glaze on I literally yelled "holy crap" because even though this is a brand new car I hadn't seen it like this before. Just some notes about a few different things that maybe someone on the fence about ordering can see: -Car wash shampoo - Love it. Before on my old car I used some cheap brand from a big box store and it was always so rough on my hands and left terrible marks on my car from drying. Adam's shampoo is amazing, my hands never turned to prunes, didn't dry them out, and the best part was I could let the shampoo dry on the car (inevitable here where I am) without being worried and it left no marks afterwards once rinsed off. -Great White Towels - Used 1 to dry an entire Challenger, was a little damp afterwards and could of probably used 2 (I have 2) but these are great, where does the water go?! -Single and Double soft towels - Had a bit of lent and fuzzies come off these but I attribute that to them being brand new. No big deal or anything, I just know how some people are about that. I would advise you to shake them out a little bit before use away from the car. Otherwise MEGA soft good towels....I should have bought a few more. -Detail spray - I bought the Essentials Detail Kit with a few other extras and I wish I bought some more detail spray. The 16oz that comes in that kit doesn't last to long when using it to help before drying, claybar, and touch ups here and there. Does a great job though, just wish the 36oz came in the kit instead because it seems this is going to be a product used often. Perhaps that was just smart marketing by Adam's LOL -Glass towels - I wish I had ordered a few more of these. One of the best microfiber towels I've used, but doing all windows + sunroof it seems to get a little damp so another would have been useful. I have High Def windows now though! At any rate, I'm sold on Adam's stuff now. Will be buying more. I can finally look forward to washing the car. If I wasn't so comfortable in this chair I'd take a picture
  15. I guess its just dependent on where you live and what local department policies are/what equipment they are using. Whats crazy is I used to have a CB in my Jeep, just a matter of a few years ago, and it proved more useful than a radar detector as the truckers voiced exactly where they were sitting before I came up on them. I think I have it a little easier than most. Here in SC there is a severe shortage of highway patrol troopers and no money to hire many more (I'm one of them trying to get hired lol), and usually counties or cities leave the interstate to the troopers. Most you see are working accidents and don't have time to sit on the side of the road waiting. You can go 200+ miles without seeing a single one. I think I'm more scared of running up on a small town local cop with nothing better to do than a trooper on the highway.
