Flex! I started with PC. You cannot put a price on time. I have PC set up for small pads for tight areas.

Just for future reference to anyone that uses QS and doesn't want the issue of overspray, I always spray QS on a foam pad then apply. I do not like the spray panel then spread with applicator method. Helps to avoid ANY issues of overspray.

HAHA. A new neighbor who moved in a few weeks back did something similar - came over mid detail and said:

"Those buffers things will really screw up your paint. My buddy owns a body shop and showed me that they cause all kinds of scratches"

To the guys defense he had no idea who I was or what I do for a living when he walked over.... when I showed him my paint he pretty much soiled himself at which point I made him swear to never listen to his 'buddy' again in matters of paint care and restoration. I'll be polishing out his Porsche Cayenne in a couple of weeks LOL

Picked up this bright red monster yesterday. 2012 Super Crew with the 6.2L. Was a single owner truck and only had 21,xxx on the clock. Fully loaded with all the options I wanted -

    Heated/Cooled Seat
    Dual Zone Climate Controls
    Front/Rear View Camera
    Navigation with SYNC
    Sunroof
    Sliding rear window

Just driving it home yesterday and to the office this morning has already got me smiling from ear to ear - its just a monster plain and simple! Rides fantastic on the streets and I may or maynot have ripped it thru a few open fields so far to test the offroad capabilities

Interior was pretty much spotless - gave it a quick TID wipe down and leather conditioner treatment yesterday. Over the next few days I'll be doing a full paint correction and detail. Still debating if it gets the most current coating prototype - we'll see. I'll update the thread as the detail progresses.

normally everyone is talking about this product after a wash...

well i just wash/polish the car yesterday

well today around 3 there was a giant gust of wind that knock so much ish around light dust
i was gonna detail spray it,but  then a idea came up that i should blast the car with water knock everything off since i sealed the car  then panel by panel sprayed the HGG  and some to the double soft too , and wiped it down while getting hungry cuz it smells so good! (to be honest this is much easier to dry the car than the regular spray of detail spray and great white) then i dried off the wheels since they already clean and my mustang does not leave much break dust  and after i was done i  went over it and hit it with detail spray on some spots i missed

yes i could of wash the car the wheels ect, but this way made it so much quicker ,
just wet ,spray wipe and dry  done in no time and looks freshly waxed
since it was a light dust and not to filthy
what you guys think? yah or nah , i f up? i should not do this? or its an ok way

    Great review.

One tip to save yourself from stressing about the wet application and water spots or having to work early or late.

Dry the car off like you normally would then just do the dry application process outlined in the video. Sure, its an additional step, but it also keeps you from having to rush around or worry about getting water on already dry surfaces once you've dried so in the overall scheme it would probably be more efficient to go that way.

On the tangled wedge 'fingers' I've found that giving the pad a vigorous shake while its still wet will free up most of them. Almost do a throwing motion with the wedge in your hand.

In any event glad to hear you enjoyed the products.

    Thanks Steve!

The weather simply isn't cooperating, bummer, but we're happy to have all the pony cars and snakes join our gathering on the 25th. The warehouse is getting a lot of changes this week in preparation for the event and we'll have some cool stuff to show everyone. A few never-before-seen products that are coming soon to an Adams website near you

If a surface is dirty the beading will be effected as the water combines with dust/dirt - so if your vehicles were dusty when they were rained on then the beading would be reduced until the next wash, especially with light rain that doesn't flush the surface well.

Also, beading is AN indication of protection, but not the ONLY indication of protection.

Love HGG.  I did four vehicles yesterday and used about 1/3 of the bottle.  A little goes a long way.  Not bad considering I did a mid-size truck, a sedan, small car, and a mini-van.  Really impressed with the shine and slickness.

Jim, I'll be honest, you shouldn't have any problems cleaning your wheels with DWC.  It has much more cleaning power than the now discontinued GWC, which was discontinued for a reason.

As a control test, take a bucket of suds and put about 1-2 oz of APC in them, that will simulate Green Wheel Cleaner.

If your wheels are cool, dry, and not in the sunlight, and you give the DWC the allowed 3 min or so dwell time BEFORE agitatiing with brushes, you shouldn't have a single issue getting those wheels sparkly clean.

If you are getting film and having to go over the wheels twice, there is an issue with your process here.  Are you using dry brushes or do you have them soaking in a bucket of suds?  Etc

Explain your wheel/tire regimen a bit better for us to help you, I understand not everyone likes every product all the time but the DWC is def a product that works as advertised and is superior to the discontinued product in every way.  But you do have to use it properly.

I don't think DWC is meant to be an every wash product. It's far too strong for a light cleaning. I typically use DWC after winter. Then soap the rest of the year unless there is a reason to use DWC again.

So it was nice out today and the Caddy needed a good clean up.  And I got a chance finally to use some of the new stuff Adam's came out with recently.
So I started off with a two bucket wash with the new Wash/Rinse buckets and connector.  Having both buckets connected is the way to go.  Makes it so much simpler to move around the car.  (wife is the photographer)

After filling up the buckets with the pink car wash (don't have the blue yet, but it's ordered), I soaped the baby up with the foam gun.  The pink makes plenty of suds, so I can imagine how good the blue's going to be.

Next came the wash with the new Wash Wedge.  All I can say about this new sponge is WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO COME OUT WITH THIS?  I'm 68 with arthritis in my shoulders and back and this thing is so much easier to use for me than the wash pads. A whole lot lighter when wet, and it sucks up the soap and water and whisks away the dirt!

So once I got her body all nice and clean......it was time to do the wheels.  Yes, I do a dedicated bucket for the wheels.  Sprayed the wheels down with All Purpose Cleaner then scrubbed deep into the wheels with the old wheel woolies,  hit the lug nuts with the lug nut brush, and then sprayed down the tires with more APC and scrubbed with the blue tire scrub brush.

So now that the car is all nice and clean, it's time to pull it into the garage and try out the new H20 GG.

I wet the car down good first, then started on the roof.

Wiped it down with a damp double soft towel, then went over it with a dry double soft.

I did the glass, sunroof, and any plastic on the car with it too.  Didn't matter. This stuff is amazing.

I finished off the rest of the car and let me tell you, I can't be happier. This stuff is so simple to use, gives great shine, the paint is smooth as glass, and I can see where it's going to be a BIG hit for Adam's. If you didn't get it yet, get an order in. You're going to want a gallon or FIVE!

You don't want a dry panel because this is a water activated product, it needs water to work. Part of the beauty of this type of product is you don't need to dry your vehicle prior to sealing it. It is a time saver.

If you are concerned about wasting product, the other method Dylan showed might save product, but I don't know yet as I haven't tried it. The method I'm referring to is where he uses a wet towel and sprays the HGG directly onto the towel and then wipes it on the surface.
