His older stuff is filled with more songs about troubles relationships, hurt, and other things...check them out too if you wish! This is a great album - some of the highest quality recording by the Jimi Hendrix Experience IMHO. For me, the best version of Voodoo Child by Hendrix is on the Hendrix in the West album - (Vinyl, not CD). The CD version squashed out all the great dynamics, so the Vinyl version is the way to go if you can get your hands on a clean copy.
