babaron
I'm assuming you apply the super sealant to the wheels by hand, right?
babaron
Ron, do you have any bg that you could try on the rim? The should help cover any problems in the clear. If it does not cover it up, I would say they cleared right over that. tried it and it did add some pop to the look but brushed look still there. oh well...thx anyway. Golf for Life
Rugged look so thats what they call it these days, as they say nothing is perfect. But yet we have to pay for whatever comes off the line.
J Tegeler
I'll second this. My stockers were horrible, then they cleared them. They even charge extra for that "rugged" chrome look
THE Mook
That looks pretty standard for GM factory 'polished' wheel finishes. My TBSS, SSS, and Avalanche wheels were no better. In many cases those markings are actually under the clear coat so theres not much you can do about them unfortunately. I'll second this. My stockers were horrible, then they cleared them. BrianT
i've got the wheels cleaned and polished with super sealantbut still have fine brush marks on them. tried buffing out w pc and shr but no difference. any other suggestion? What kind of wheels are you dealing with? Is the finish the problem or are the imperfections under the clear coat? My factory rims I can see right through the finish and see all the imperfections that are under the clear coat.

mc2hill
I'm assuming you apply the super sealant to the wheels by hand, right? Yes, but make sure you put on a very thin coat.

Team Adam's
Neither will hold up as long as they will on other areas of the car, but that doesn't mean they won't hold up at all. More heat and abuse means they'll degrade faster, but it will still provide protection... I like MSS or APW on wheels personally, but anythings better than nothing. rha600
reviving an oldish thread. My question is about how to finish off the wheels. Can you really treat the wheels just like the paint since the wheels can get much hotter than the paint on your body panels. does the BSG or even the MSS hold it's integrity on those hot surfaces? J Tegeler
I would clean them off with some 50/50 apc then once they are all clean MSS helps a ton! brake dust washes off much easier
Hired Gun
Chris would you recommend a 50/50 mix? I would like to use it on my 5th gen camaro wheels because the break dust is a mess after a few miles of spirited driving.
LQ9SS
BG works very well on clearcoat wheels. BG does something amazing to chrome. Even detail spray makes them pop.

Bill-V8V
I agree with Chris, if they are clear coated treat them just like your paint
Chris@Adams
Yes but I would dilute it first and make sure that your wheels are cool, and if they aren't real dirty I would just use Adam's Car Wash Shampoo!
