JBlack151
1960 Chevrolet Impala Saturday I worked on a jaw dropping 1960 Chevy Impala that just stops you in your tracks when you see it. The car was in really good condition, however the owner wanted that deep wet look on the powder blue paint and remove some light staining on the seats and carpets. After inspecting the paint there were some light swirls present and after a baggy test I discovered the car had lots of contaminants built up. After the detail was complete the owner took the Impala to a car show that evening and took Best In Show. He was extremely excited still the next morning when I talked with him and also mentioned the car had people gathered around it all evening at the show with endless compliments on how great it looked. It was truly an honor to be able to work on such a classic American beauty! Here is a rundown of the products used. Note: For this detail the only non Adam’s product was some Wesley’s White Wall Cleaner. - Adam’s Ultimate Fire Hose Car Wash Nozzle - Adam’s Green Wheel Cleaner - Adam’s Boulder Blonde Boars Hair Wheel Brush - Adam’s Car Wash Shampoo - Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner (Strip Wash) - Adam’s Double Car Wash Grit Guard Bucket Kit & Caddy - Adam’s Ultimate Merino Wool Car Wash Mitt (Upper Portion) - Adam’s Professional Car Wash Pad 9” by 9” (Lower Portion) - Adam’s Great White Microfiber Drying Towel - Adam’s Blaster Sidekick Dryer by MetroVac - Adam’s Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing (Very Light Application On Tires) - Adam’s Hex-Grip Pro Tire Dressing Applicator - Adam’s Edgeless Microfiber Utility Towels - Adam’s Leather & Interior Cleaner - Adam’s Brilliant Glaze (On Dashboard) - Adam’s Glass Cleaner - Adam’s Glass Cleaning Towel - Adam’s Detailing Clay Bar - Adam’s Detail Spray - Adam’s Professional Detailer’s Masking Tape - Flex XC 3401 VRG Polisher - Adam’s Severe Swirl Remover & Green Polishing Pad - Adam’s Swirl & Haze Remover Polish & Orange Polishing Pad - Adam’s Fine Machine Polish & White Polishing Pad - Adam’s Revive Polish - Adam’s BLUE Hex-Grip Polish Applicator - Adam’s Brilliant Glaze (On Paint, Trim & Chrome) - Adam’s Americana Premium Wax & Glaze Applicator - Adam’s Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax - Adam’s Single Soft Microfiber Towels - Adam’s Double Soft Microfiber Towels Now on to the pictures. There was no need for before shots since most of the imperfections would not show up well with the camera. Thanks for checking it out everyone! Golf for Life
Outstanding a bud had a identical car baby blue 348 4 speed. Back then we did not respect these cars the way that we should have. Jack you are so fortunate to be able to work on such a nice American classic.
